Days 8, 9+10 (they ended up combined)

Day 8- blossom

Idea- gem and gri arguing about copyright. Pearl gets involved too.

"And... Hey! Look at that!" Gem broke off from where she had been chatting to Pearl, sprinting away then stopping stone dead, hands on hips, glaring up at the offending building, which turned out to be a cherry tree with three or four branches. Peal hadn't seen it before, so it was probably new. She had been in the area a lot, (cough cough massive dragon egg dragon) so she would have seen it.

"Gem? Wasn't the Buttercup's camp here?"

"Not anymore!" came a voice from the tree. "Someone blew it up and killed a lot of sniffers, so I made a new one." If it was any other day, Gem would have replied with some sad comment about the sniffers, but instead she yelled at the tree saying "COME DOWN!"

"Why? What's wrong?" the Brit said as he glided out of the tallest tower. "Did I miss a bit?"

"No, but.... Just look!" Gem pointed past the perimeter, to where the beginning of a beautiful cherry blossom tree was just starting to render in. ".... oh. Right, sorry."

Pearl had just realised what had happened. Gem had built a cherry tree. Gri had built a cherry tree.

Oh dear. "Sorry?" Gem spluttered back. It was one of the rarest things, when she got mad, so normally it was about something she cared about a lot, and she loved her tree. "Sorry? That- that's copyright, that is!"

"Excuse me? Copyright?"

"Well why not ask Pearl?"

"Er..." Pearl was in a tricky situation. "Got to go!" She yelled and ran. Phew. If not permanent, that would work right then.

9- betrayal and 10- sacrifice.

Idea- I wanna do a dsmp cross but that's not in the-

I'm doing a dsmp crossover.

Idea- scar equals Toby. I like this.

Damn. It was that date again. The Sixteenth, also known as The Day Where Scar Gets Awful Flashbacks. On that day, Scar would climb onto the roof and cry and sing and cry. It was also The Day With The Crows. He wasn't a proper hybrid, but he could speak to them and understood them better than most people. They would circle above him, calling. A few people had noticed, but put it down to chance.

Yeah, right.

(Ok, head cannon. I imagine that in the middle of the world there is a sort of campfire thing where they meet up sometimes.)

When he was particularly sad or angry, he would open the box. The box was.. the only thing he had related to his past. He had cut off his horns and antennae, and told everyone that his larger, pointy (goat) ears meant he was an elf.

The Box was arranged very particularly. At the very top, there was a folded up flag. The last flag there was- the one without any crosses. Underneath that was an old folded bandana on the left, a piece of paper in the middle and a stack of photos on the left. At the very bottom were two scraps of fabric. One black with a small red bit, from just the Manberg flag, the other was the first flag. He'd managed just to snag it before fu- someone burnt it. There were also two things that didn't fit, and these made Toby cry the hardest. They belonged to two people he had trusted. A gold crown, studded with rubies- a scarcity, as you could only get them in certain worlds- and a guitar.

Wilbur's.

And it was that guitar he took down to the campfire that night.

No-one was there, as everyone probably had better things to do than remice about war. He knew the song he would sing to himself and the crows. It had been written to him by the owner of the guitar.

Striking a chord and stamping his feet, he started.

"What am I fighting for.

Whose side am I on.

Lost everything in the crossfire, witness the wreckage at dawn."

"Hey- can I sit here?"

No, that wasn't part of the song. That was Joe asking to sit next to him.

"Yeah, sure."

"Say it enough and you start believing.

They can tell you that it's righteous, keep your chin up in a crisis.

Say it enough and you start believing. In the glory and the justice, they will drill it into your head-"

The crows started to caw, circling above like a storm cloud.

"Ain't no crying till the war's done."

Joe started to frown.

"Ain't no crying 'cause the fighting's just begun.

No crying till the sun comes.

Till the sun comes up till the sun comes up."

Joe was properly worried now, thinking. One of the crows landed on his shoulder, but he didn't seem to mind. "Can I go and get X?"

"Okay, but why?"

"Thanks!" He shouted, already running off.

Toby finished the song. About halfway through, Joe came back with both the aforementioned admin and Wels, for no obvious reason.

"Ain't no crying (No crying) , no crying, no

Ain't no crying (No crying) , no crying, no

Ain't no crying (No crying) , no crying

'Til the sun comes up, 'til the sun comes up

In the division, make your decision

Every shoulder you've leaned on is the

One you will turn on

Burn it to ashes, watch as it crashes

Nobody left to forgive or forget

Say it enough and you start believing

They can tell you that it's righteous

Keep your chin up in the crisis

Say it enough and you start believing

In the glory, in the justice

They will drill it into your head

Ain't no crying 'til the war's done

Ain't no crying 'cause the

Fighting's just begun

No crying 'til the sun comes

'Til the sun comes up, 'til the sun comes up

Ain't no crying (No crying) , no crying, no

Ain't no crying (No crying) , no crying, no

Ain't no crying (No crying) , no crying

'Til the sun comes up, 'til the sun comes up

What am I fighting for? What have I done?

What am I dying for?

What have we all become?

Make you live through the pressure

Make you live through the pain

Sacrifice you for nothing

We're still dying in vain"

will be finished! Probably on another prompt. I like this.
