Chapter 13

AUTHOR'S POV

They both entered at the same time, no matter they feigned any glances. Acting like the sworn enemies they are not.

"Oh hey, Moon!" A man in decent formals greeted excitedly, walking towards them. Jae.

Moon, huh? Yoongi thought.

"Hello, Jelly bear," she smiled broadly as they hugged as a greeting.

Jelly bear? He scoffed.

"You look gorgeous today," he complimented.

Sora winked, "When do I not?"

"Point," he chuckled, meeting Yoongi's piercing gaze.

"Yoongi! Long time, buddy?" He opened his arms wide to hug him too which the latter did with a low enthusiasm.

"How're you?" Yoongi asked.

"I'm all good. Let's go meet the couple!" He enthusiastically chimed, pulling the newly arrived towards the couple in the lime light.

"You guys greet, I'll just go have a drink," he spoke and rushed off leaving Yoongi and Sora with the couple.

"Yoongi, it's been so long," Taejoon passed with an ever ready smile.

"Yeah. I was kinda engaged in stuff."

Taejoon and Jieun looked at each other and nodded, speaking at the same time, "Stuff like becoming the most sought after artist!"

The three of them laughed at Yoongi being shy.

"And what about the topper of our batch?" Jieun questioned, looking at Sora.

"I am just here and there," she chuckled.

"Oh come on. All that hard work must have gone somewhere," she responded rather rudely. "Did you find anyone?"

"Anyone? In the sense?" She raised her brows.

"Someone who's like Taejoon for me?" She linked arms with her soon-to-be husband.

"Baby..." Taejoon mumbled, feeling awkward.

"Ahh... No. I am happy for you though. All the best for your future," she smiled.

"Thanks. What a shame? Boys were after you since forever and you were the best student too. Isn't it so cruel?" She added. Taejoon pressed her arm to stop, feeling Sora's face muscles tense up.

"All that hard work did go somewhere Jieun," Yoongi added. "She's the best cardiologist in Daegu. Do you even know how difficult is to get her appointment for real? Hard work made her this, rather than the wife of a rich business man," he laughed humourlessly.

"Yoongi..." Sora mumbled, elbowing him slightly, feeling embarassed, but he shrugged.

"Are you trying to point out at me?" Jieun raised brows at him.

"I just said-"

"No. Not at all," Sora interrupted. "It's your day, Jieun. Enjoy," she added, pushing Yoongi to the side and walking along.

"See you guys around," Taejoon waved at them, giving Jieun a look of disbelief.

"What was that? Why fight for no reason, dammit?" She questioned as a whisper.

"No reason? She obviously knew that you didn't had the ink!" He grunted furiously.

"Yeah and so? It's a truth! Come on. Accept it!" She spoke, rather hurt, but she didn't wanted to spoil the atmosphere.

"Oh Sora! Yoon!" Aera walked upto them.

Yoon, huh? She thought.

"How're you guys? Still fighting?" She questioned.

"Ofcourse, how can a dumb and a brainy be together," he chuckled.

"He surely is a proof that dumb people can say sensible things once in a while," she added with a deceptive smile which made Aera laugh. Jae approached them with a wine in his hands and a broad smile that lightened the atmosphere.

"I have a lot to catch up with you Sora, let's go," Aera added, pulling her along and Yoongi engaged himself with Jae and some other men.

"So, what's up?" She asked her.

"Pretty much good," Sora responded, taking a mocktail glass from the counter.

"You and Yoongi still on a cold war?" She laughed.

"Not really. We're just roasting each other for no particular reason!"

"Yeah. He can be really rude at times," Aera pouted.

"What do you mean?"

"I just tried to contact him some time prior, he responded like in three days that two with two messages. I felt humiliated for real," she added.

"It's because of his job Aera. You know idols don't basically get time. His mom used to be worried too, I know because I have seen."

"So, he doesn't even have time for his mom? I believe he values his career more than his relations," Aera rolled her eyes.

"You're getting him wrong. He does care alot about his family-"

"Ya sure," she interrupted, "he's always been like that to you, me, everyone."

"No no no it's me. Not him. I deliberately irk him-"

"You're naive Sora!"

"What are you guys talking about?" Jieun followed.

"Nothing specific soon-to-be bride," Aera chuckled and Sora giggled awkwardly.

"Sora, I am really sorry if that felt rude before," Jieun added. "I really did feel bad for you and wasn't mocking you either."

"It's okay," Sora smiled, feeling uncomfortable suddenly.

"Yeah. Really, I got hurt by Yoongi's comment," she sighed.

"He said something to you too? He's literally rude to everyone? Just because he is famous and all?" Aera added.

Sora's ears became red in fury, trying to contain herself from speaking something ruthless.

"I guess people do change when they earn money. At least that's not the case with me," Jieun mocked. "He was this sloppy kid-"

"Can you guys just shut up? Can't you just enjoy the eve instead of bitching about people?" She finally intruded.

"What's up with you?" Aera asked. "You hated him anyway-"

"No I don't. I am just honest, unlike you guys. Being all honey in front and stabbing people at the back," she scoffed.

"YAH MOON SORA!" Jieun yelled, gaining attention of people nearby, the hall falling in silence.

"Yes, Miss Jieun? We can speak without raising voices. It's the dogmatics who have to raise their voice."

Jieun let out a shuddering breath and Aera stepped back.

"Babe, what's up?" Taejoon approached.

Jieun hugged him instantly. Frowning, she added, "She's accusing me of shit for no reason."

Sora stepped in front to respond but someone held her forearm. She looked back at Yoongi pulling her back. She furrowed her brows and pulled her hand out of his grip.

"I didn't just accuse. I am clearly saying that you speak shit for no particular reason. And we aren't potholes to take your shit. So just be bitchy when you're with asswipes, that fortunately I am not."

"SORA!"

"JIEUN," she yelled louder than anyone, her voice resonating in the halls.

"Let's leave Sora," Yoongi whispered.

"I did nothing wrong. She yelled for no reason."

"I yelled because you were being a turd. You were being a simp! Ya for sure, you must be lured, right?"

"Shut the fuck up, Jieun," she answered back when Yoongi pulled her along, pacing out of the hall.

"Seriously, if you have guts, speak on my fucking face. Don't be a freaking back stabber!" She yelled back, while being pulled away by Yoongi.

He made her follow him to the car and practically fought her urge to run back to fight.

"Just shut it," he said, standing in front of the car.

"Why should I? It's her who needs to shut her bitchy mouth. She cannot just speak shit about you when surely she's the arrogant one there," she huffed.

"Let's go," he smiled, opening the car door for her.

"I really hate her, for real," she complained while getting in the car. He chuckled while pacing to the other side.
