Sora

Sora sits cross-legged on her bed, laptop propped open in front of her. She stares at the blank page, her mind racing with ideas. Finally, she begins to type.

"The city lights blinded him, a whirlwind of lights that danced across his vision. He stood at the edge of the rooftop, the wind whipping his hair into a frenzy. For a moment, he felt free.

But the moment was fleeting.

The weight of his mask settled back onto his shoulders, the expectations and pressures of his world crushing him beneath their burden.

He took a deep breath, and the city lights blurred into a haze.

Tomorrow, he would put on the mask again.

Tomorrow, he would be the idol, the star, the perfect performer."

Sora's fingers pause on the keyboard, her eyes scanning the words she'd written. She nods to herself, satisfied with the prologue.

"This looks fine..." She mutters, after reading it for any mistakes. Sora knows this will take the readers by surprise. For she has never revealed her favourite superstar.

"I hope I don't get full hate on this." She said before taking the cursor over the publish button. She takes a deep breath, before finally clicking over it.

She will open her app again after a few days. She's not ready to see what the readers say.

A few days pass by, the weather becoming cooler. Sora walks to her favourite place, a tote bag hanging over her shoulders. She has decided to write in the library, killing some time.

As she thinks back about the concert and Taehyung. She feels so moved by it that she couldn't help but write about it. For now, she has no plans on making it a romance story. Just Taehyung struggling through idol life.

"Grandma!! You're back!" Sora gives a quick hug to the elderly lady with a bright grin.

"Aigo, I'm not too weak, okay. Nothing can stop me from getting here." Grandma quickly scans Sora, searching for the books that she should have issued from the library. Her gaze becomes playfully stern. "Young lady, where are the books? Did you forget them?"

"Don't worry, I haven't issued any this week." She flashes a smile.

"That's surprising, you finish three novels in a week. What happened?" Curious, Grandma enquires.

"Ah.. nothing. My final exams are looming so, I have been studying." Lie. It rolls easily over her tongue causing her to grimace which she tries to hide.

Seeing her nod, she walks to a bench and places her laptop on the table. She first opens her comment section with a deep confident breath.

“Omg sol, this is awesome!! I can already feel the angst!”

“I don't know, Sol...this feels like just another angsty idol story. Hope you can bring something new to the table.”

“Your writing is beautiful! I'm hooked from the beginning!”

“I love how you're going into the pressures of an idol's life!”

“I'm so tired of Taehyung being portrayed as some tragic hero. Can't we just see him as a normal person for once?”

Yaaas!!! Finally a story that explores the real Taehyung!! I sometimes feel like this prologue describes him the best.”

Okay this is a good starting, Sora thinks. She expects that few of them will probably not read it but the new readers of her seems to find the story interesting. Not paying any more attention to the comments, she begins to type in a few paragraphs before a voice distracted her focus.

"Sora!"

Turning around, she saw a figure coming towards her with a wide smile, her dark hair flowing.

"Eunji, Hey." Sora beams at the younger girl who took a seat beside her. She subtly closes her laptop to avoid seeing her work.

"I haven't seen you in a while! How have you been?"

"I was busy. Why weren't you coming?" Sora fully turns her body to face her.

"I was busy too. You see, I had to make a project with a guy and it was completed but then we were arguing about who will get more marks and he suddenly crashed the project. He blamed it on me and now I have to make it all over again!” Eunji exclaims, her facial expression giving an idea of her mistery. Sora gasps.

“That's sad. You should complain it to the teacher.”

“But don't worry! My brother came from work and is going to help me! I'll complain to the teacher too.”

“That's great.” Sora smiles before looking around the library and standing up. “I'll look for some novels.”

“Oh you know, he–”  A loud sound distracts both of them and Eunji stops. “Oh shit. Grandma is going to kill me. I– i'm so sorry Sora! I swear I didn't mean to!”

Sora's urgent hands move faster than Eunji's, she grabs her laptop that was wet and wipes it with her handkerchief. Eunji stands, pouting and fidgeting.

“I'm.. I'm sorry... I will pay for the damage! I'm so sorry.” Seeing the younger one in distress, Sora sighs. She could only wish the orange juice didn't create some technical errors in the circuit.

“Hey, it's okay. I'm sure it wasn't much damage, I wiped it off fast.”

“No! Wait, I'll–”

“Eunji, it's alright. You relax, okay? I will go and see if I have something good to read.” Sora assures her with a small smile.

She browses through the shelves of the library, searching for a book that could catch her interest. As she reaches for a one on the top shelf, she hears a commotion behind her.

She turns around to see a tall figure, dressed in casual clothes and wearing a mask, struggling to regain balance. In his attempt to steady himself, he accidentally knocks over a nearby bookshelf.

Books crash to the floor, sending dust flying everywhere. Sora rushes to help, concern etched on her face.

“Are you okay?” She ask as she kneel beside him to gather the scattered books.

The masked figure nods, his voice low, but slightly off. “I'm...I'm fine. Sorry about the mess.”

They worked together to gather the books. It wasn't until they stood up, and she looks up at him just to see him staring back at her. She couldn't help but notice his eyes – piercing, bright, and impossibly beautiful. There was something familiar about them, but she couldn't quite place it.

:-
Uff they finally met;)
