Chapter 12 Ink
I took in a deep breath as I sat up. "What...the fuck!"
I wasn't in my room anymore. I was sitting on a rough, greenish grey rock ground. The floor was littered with sharp black glass and dull grey stones.
"Hello? Jun!" I stood up and looked around the circular room. "Alix!" My loud voice echoed upward through a four inch hole that lead to a bright room.
I'm dreaming...I have to be. Where's...Jun and Alix?
I took a step closer to the hole in the ceiling and tried to identify what was up there.
"Going in the room eight."
I heard footsteps approach the hole and jolted back as a spark of ash burned my nose. "What-," I started to shout, but I silenced once I saw a black ooze pour down from the hole.
"Done, refilling to the ninth encounter."
The voice above was deep pitched and with a Asian like accent.
The black ooze in the room with me spread across the floor in an unnatural pattern. I avoided it until I stood on the last untouched place along the wall.
"What the hell is that?"
The ink froze and pulled in around my feet. "Ink."
The voice that came from the ooze was high pitched and made in like a screech from an old woman.
In a second, the calm situation escalated when I was pushed to the ground. On the ground, the slime lunged at me and covered everything, my face and body.
I resisted screaming as I felt air a trouble. The ink was thick and heavy and hot. The touch of it everywhere was burning my skin like it was tar instead of ink.
"Wake up!" I screamed. From my action, inkish tar flowed into my mouth and down my throat. The feeling was unbearable. I felt like I was being pried apart.
After a few seconds, I lost all feeling and sense I had.
I woke up crying profusely.
Even after I looked around my room I didn't feel better.
"Jun?" I whispered turning to look at the one holding me loosely now. I pushed out of his grasp and rushed to the bathroom. There was a feeling in the back of my throat that burned as I shut the door and threw myself at the toilet.
I shivered as I pushed up both the toilet seat and pushed my hair back. The burning feeling of the ink rushing into me forced me to arch my back over the toilet.
I sat there, curled against the toilet waiting for a bucket of tar to spill out of me. After a minuet of waiting, nothing happened.
I sat back along to the wall facing the toilet. "Crazy," I whispered covering my head. "Just...crazy...Fuck..."
A pulsing pain began in my throat. It felt like someone poking me, but with each touch...it brought electricity stirring.
Tears started to rush from my eyes as I curled up in a ball. On the ceramic tiles beside me, stray tears also coiled up in cells.
"Kassina," I whispered, "Kassina."
"...why I come here."
"What do you mean. You claimed that she was you're Obsession."
"You idiot. It's this building. The damn sun rises right where the window's at. This isn't even my building after all."
I opened my eyes slowly feeling dried up tears as I did so.
"Well who's telling you to be here with my love?"
"You're love? Jun, you're such an ass. I l-like Kasey because of this Obsession."
"Humph! Tell me why you can't rile up and admit your unretractable feelings? Eh fang boy?"
"Gah! Jun! S-Shut up!"
I smiled as I wiped the dry trails of salt water from my eyes.
"All you want her for is power! You just want me to submit so you can drain her and toss her back in her wor-."
A loud bang silenced the room next to the room I'm in. Short, low muttering was the only thing I heard. My heart began to quicken as I could feel a person standing on the other side of the bathroom door.
At the door, I could feel a short of static presence crackling lightly as the being just stared at the door.
I'm in here with a incu-something and a vampire...if anything I need to calm down. I bet Alix could hear my heart beat or something. Then, they'd know I've been listening, but I haven't even been for long!
I placed a hand on the floor and flinched as I felt a puddle of water. I looked down at the sudden clear pool of water. I gasped as the water around my hand started to turn black.
I shot up as I watched the water turn into a thick tar-like substance. I held my stomach tightly as I remembered suffocating on tar in my dream.
I quickly stepped into the bathtub and watched the puddle shift. I covered my eyes and felt new tears form.
I'm crazy...I'm insane! Alix...Jun...
My blood began to boil as I felt my heart twitch instead of beat and instead of seconds, it moved with the beat of a hummingbird.
My vison, in the edges of my eyes, began to tinge with black. My sight was no more than the locked bathroom door and the oozing puddle of ink.
"J-," I began, "Al-."
My body began to shake as I struggled to call anyone to my help. I felt the want to throw up and I felt the need to just die right there. My mind was twisting and melting with every moment I spent thinking.
With nothing I could do, I started to crumble in the bathtub.
"Wh-," I barely managed to hold my eyes open. "Kassina!" I cried before I hit the ground. I covered my face and prepared for the worst.
"Hey Kassina? Yellow? Are ya ever gonna wake up? Have you eaten an apple my dear?" Jun laughed.
I paused and found myself back where I was on the ground, still in the bathroom. I turned toward the doorway and saw Jun's shadow show underneath the frame. "Jun?" I shot up and stumbled to the door, this time feeling no water on the ground.
I threw the door open and locked eyes with Jun. "Damn it! You need to explain something!"
"So...that's why there's a limit...but...why do I keep seeing that...tar stuff?"
Jun tilted his head and took a sip of the water in his cup. "I'm not the one you should asking. There's this magic teacher who knows everything about everything energetic. I suppose you won't talk to him because he's like...seven hundred years plus or something, but-!" Jun smiled at my shock to his sudden raised voice. "Well...wait what was I saying?"
I rolled my eyes. "Who's this teacher?"
"Uh," Jun straightened. "How about you don't worry about it, huh? The teacher will probably scare the shit out of you. He's sadly my teach." Jun sighed and set his cup down. "Kassina, you didn't get your classes today did you?"
I narrowed my eyes at Jun. "Well, if I wasn't getting harassed by the 'mytsical energies of this school and inhabitants', I would."
Jun chuckled. "I strongly suggest you get your classes today and map out your to-be routes tomorrow. There's time left before dark. We can walk over there alright?"
"Classes?" I walked towards the large window, there was a long stretch of the massive building's shadow over the rolling hills from where the sun rise. "More classes..."
