Bio: The leader of Sharjah. Throughout her many decades of living in the town, she has learned much about their heritage and the history they work to preserve. Many look to her wisdom when the town falls on hard times or is threatened. Bio: The leader of Sharjah's militia. Fariq spends his time training his soldiers in the defense of their town. Because of this duty, he has a hard time viewing the world without the conflict he brings to it. It is Razia's wisdom that keeps him in line and prevents him from bringing destruction to the town. He has a short temper and believes that he and the town need to have a strong exterior to keep Syntech and other invaders away. In the end, he truly loves Sharjah and the ideals that they uphold.

Bio: Narin was raised in Sharjah, which means she only knows about the world that they've created. Razia has steeped her in the knowledge of the old world, and anything concerning the new world is out of her reach. Razia raised and groomed her to take over her position when she inevitably passed away. Because of this, Narin looks up to her as a mother and a mentor.

She is one of the smarter people in her town, yet the least fit for combat. At the age of 25, she was to be trained in the use of the Shield Blade of Sharjah (See: Shield Blade of Sharjah). It is also at this age she was to be introduced to the world at large and the conflict they face with Syntech.

Rew Durryl (Rookie):

Bio: Rew was born in a small village in southern Sweden near the coast of the Baltic Sea. He grew up as a single child with his mother, father, and grandmother. When he was only 15 his father passed away from natural causes. As times got harder, he decided to persuade his mother and grandmother to move to Sanctuary with him in order to find better work and an easier life. Understanding the dire situation they were in they agreed to move to a larger city.

However, on the long trek to Norway, they were ambushed by raiders. He alone survived the attack and was discovered on the side of the road by a traveling tradesman heading to Sanctuary. Showing great kindness the tradesman healed and taught Rew along the journey until they reached their destination. Upon arriving, Rew began to train to be a soldier, wanting to never be helpless again. He entered the Syntech military and eventually enlisting into their elite spec ops program, from which he graduated top of his class. While in training, he also idolized Shan Li and stole her concept for ATLAS in order to design a military-grade weapon of his own.

Bio: Mayundar was born into the DEITY program brimming with potential. He was slightly older than Shan Li when she was brought back from China, but they were introduced in the same generation of DEITYs. Growing fond of the young girl, he and watched over her like an older brother. However, when the intense training began they were split and went years without seeing one another. He was extremely talented in the field, but his first mission ended in a tragic injury. He was forced to resign from the DEITY program to become a trainer to the next generation.

After several years of work, the Board sought his help in dealing with traders and merchants of far off Syntech settlements. Eventually, The Board considered his talents for negotiation a great strength worthy of their attention. The Board of Directors placed him directly underneath the CFO as an advisor. He is aware of the strange things going on within the Syntech government but is in no position to concern himself with those matters. Mayundar also continues to remain friends with Shan Li and most of the DEITYs still living from his generation.

Bio: After being indoctrinated into the top scientists of the MALMAL Sikks got his name due to the grotesque results his experiments rendered. He's known for pushing the limits of what is possible.

Years of genetic testing on his own body has left it frail, hairless, and hardly resembling a human. Most of his tests result in death, but there have been several successes, one of which is hidden within the confines of the underground facility.

Bio: When she was young, both of her parents were killed in battle. After running away from her foster family, she joined the Malaysian Military. She trained hard, becoming the top of her classes, and by age 20, she had killed her first person. Due to her 5-years of war, she was promoted to Officer. But the thrill of killing was too strong. She was found to be a potential candidate for his new warrior program 'Knights of the Round'. Atropos volunteered with the promise that she would be unstoppable against the enemy.

The program genetically altered her appearance in several ways: her arms became elongated and clawed like that of a tiger; her face became scaly and fanged like that of a reptile; with skills such as thermal vision, increased abilities in all senses, poison fangs (with projectile venom) and claws, tougher skin, limited regeneration, increased agility and strength.

Bio: Even as a young child, Bondan wanted to be an engineer. This was because his father (and sole guardian), who worked fixing the machinery in Jakarta. He was proud of his father and strove to follow in his footsteps. He dropped out of his normal studies and his way to Jakarta's school of mechanical engineering. Sadly, weeks before his graduation, his father died in a factory accident.

When the MALMAL served up his draft notice, he didn't mind going to war. He wanted anything to distance himself from the painful memories. The brief shootouts he took part in against the various factions excited him, but he felt no patriotism toward MALMAL. Upon his completion of his first enlistment, he chose to reenlist. This time, he got special orders to guard a top secret facility beyond the outskirts of Medan. There, he met a fellow soldier named Ratna and soon became great friends, although he felt there was something more between them.

Bio: Ratna was the last of six siblings to be inducted into the MALMAL military. Three of her brothers were killed and one remained bedridden. Her family had never been compensated for the losses and this left a black mark on her patriotism. It wasn't until she was dispatched to the small city of Medan in her last year of enlistment that she decided life couldn't possibly get any worse. But within the first week of being stationed there, she met Bondan who managed to fill a void in her life. She'd never admit it, but she had eventually grown to love him.

Sullivan (Sull):

Bio: Much of Sullivan's life before joining Syntech's military is either a mystery or classified. All that is known is that he enlisted willingly after his village subjected to a Syntech raid. Aside from excelling in tactical creativity and leadership, Sull is a boring person. He is orderly and demands respect, but gives respect back if he feels it deserving.

Sullivan has the utmost respect for Syntech and will follow them without question. Known for being brutally honest. He has a strong relationship with Jahzara and recognizes her for her skills. Unlike others, if she challenges his leadership, he will listen.

Jahzara Elani (Lt. Orvo):

Bio: A former member of the NHC, Jahzara left to pursue bigger and better things in her own interests. She eventually joined Syntech's military, finding their ways more equal to her own outlook on the world. During her training, she came to know Sullivan. Finding his overly serious attitude obnoxious, she eventually came to respect the knowledge and power he posses. She considers him her greatest friend and biggest allie, but she would never admit it. Frequently challenges Sullivan, and loves to engage in snarky quips at others expense. She would never talk back to Sullivan, despite their differences. She respects him too much to even consider it.

Jahzara dreams of wanting nicer things in life and having to stop fighting to protect the world. Yet, she isn't entirely selfish and enjoys being a soldier of Syntech more than any of her time with the NHC. This doesn't mean she isn't willing to do things for herself, however. Jahzara knows who she is and fights to never forget it. The robotic arm she has is a holdover from her time with the NHC, and she keeps it's existence under wraps with gloves and long sleeves. When she needs some extra firepower, her arm can retract into a gun.

Bio: Even as a child, Soo's skills always lied with mechanics and maintenance. She is somewhat of a nerd when it comes to explosives. When her Colony was attacked and taken over by Syntech she was forced to join the military service. Her skills in explosions made her stand out from the other trainees, and she ended up being recognized and forced to join the squad. This is her first real mission.

Normally quiet, Soo comes out of her shell when talking about the job. She never feels like she ever got a chance to discover who she really is, and as such, hates to talk about herself. The mission exposes her naivety and shows she is a little out of her element. Soo is intimidated by Sull and tries to follow Orvo's lead.

Bio: A Syntech soldier assigned to the Almas mission. On the surface, Maajid is a smart and obedient soldier. Yet, his true loyalty lies with the Sultan Osman IV. He was born into a family boasting a multigenerational line of soldiers. He is assigned to the mission for his recon skills, but he is really there to protect and benefit his city and family. Unbeknownst to Syntech, Salim has pulled the strings to plant Maajid into the mission for his own reasons. Maajid is to terminate the other members of the team in the treasure room and confiscate everything for the crown. There really isn't much more to Maajid; he is a simple man willing to do anything for his Sultan.

Truthfully, he is trying to repair his relationship with the crown. Something he has done in his past has made Maajid search for redemption. He knows that if he manages to sabotage the mission, the Sultan will accept him and his family once again. At some point, Maajid accidentally gets on Sull's bad side and grows to find this exasperating. He isn't completely perfect at hiding his true intentions, as he doesn't talk completely positively about Syntech.
