I always think you're too good to be true.

How do I deserve someone who texts me first?
Almost all the damn time.
So, maybe I don't deserve you.
But I would text you first if it's been a week.

How do I deserve someone who's funny?
Way funnier than me.
So, maybe you're bored of me.
But why do we work so well then?

How do I deserve someone who listens?
Yet never pushes.
So, maybe you feel used.
But you can open up to me. Again and always.

How do I deserve someone who's consistent?
A stability that's unusual to me.
So, maybe I am a burden to you.
But I want to be that stability in your life.

How do I deserve someone who's a friend?
Someone to rely on, to care for.
So, maybe you don't really care for me.
But then is everything just a lie?

I always think you're too good to be true.
