What's this?!
Back to back updates?!
Let's goooooo

~~~~~~~~~Dipper's POV~~~~~~~~~
"Welcome to the grand reopening of the Mystery Shack!!" Stan yells at his audience, standing on the stage that was built inside the shack's gift shop. Now that the shack had been fully fix, we even added some extra detail!
The audience cheered as Stan continued, "We're here to celebrate the defeat of that skunk, Little Gideon!" This time they booed, which Stan stopped, "Please, please. Boo harder!!" and so they did. "But I didn't catch that porkchop all alone, these three scamps deserve some of the glory." Mabel punched Stan's side at that, to which he chuckled before correcting himself, "Okay okay, most of the glory."
Toby Determined stepped forward, "Smile for the camera!"
"Your camera's a cinderblock, Toby."
"I just want to be a part of things.."
Shandra then leaned over, "Smile for a real camera."
Stan wrapped his arms around Mabel and I, when I noticed (y/n) about to step out of the way, quickly grabbing his hand to stop him, "Hey, wait! You helped us save this place too, you deserve to be in the picture."
His face grew red at that, glancing down at our hands before clearing his throat, "Oh, I just felt like it was a family moment, so.."
"Oh stop being such a pushover," Stan grabbed (y/n)'s shoulder, dragging him to be in between the group, "Smile at the camera, being famous will get us tons of cash!"
It got a laugh out of (y/n), making me smile, before Mabel speaks again, "Everyone say something stupid!"
"Something stupid!!" we all yelled as we did silly faces, the camera man taking a picture, then Stan adds, "And don't forget to come to the after party tonight at eight!"
"We're doing a karaoke bonanza, people!! Lights, music, enchantment!!" Mabel blows some confetti, "And an amazing karaoke performance by our family band: Love Patrol Alpha!!"
"Uh, I dunno...."
"I never agreed to that, ever."
"Too late!!" she kept the paper raised, "I wrote your names on the list, it's happening!"
Wendy then kicked open the front door, blowing an air horn, "Buy a ticket, people!! You know you don't have anything else going on in your lives!!"
A laugh escaped my lips, and I glanced back to look for (y/n), but something made me nervous. He was nervous, scratching at the back of his hand as he looked around the room, eyes screaming panic. I was about to ask what was wrong, when Stan's voice grabbed my attention, reminding me of something, "The town loves us, we finally got that Gideon smell out of the carpet, everything is finally going my way!"
"Hey, Grunkle Stan, now that we have a moment, I've been meaning to ask you for my journal back."
"Wha? Journal?" He searched around his suit, then laughed in realization before pulling out the journal from from under the counter, "You mean this old thing! It was so boring I couldn't even finish it!"
As he handed it back to me, confusion started to rise, "Wait, you're just gonna give it to me? Just like that?"
"What else do you want, a kiss on the cheek?"
"I... I gotta go!" I ran upstairs, dragging Mabel and (y/n) behind me up to my room.
Immediately, I locked the door, closed the window curtains, turned around all the plush toys, and turned on a lantern, turning to the other two who were now sitting on my bed, "Guys, we've gotta talk. Almost losing my journal made me realize that I'm halfway through the summer and still no closer to figuring out the big mysteries of Gravity Falls. Gideon almost destroyed the town to get his hands on this journal, but why?" I began to pace around, "Who wrote it? Where are all the other journals? What was Bill talking about when he said 'everything was going to change'? There's something huge going on right under our noses, and it's time we stop goofing around and get to the bottom of it."
Mabel answered first, "Bro, you've looked at that things like a bazillion times, there's nothing left to discover! Half the pages are blank, remember?"
I let out a sigh, knowing she was right, "I just feel like I'm one puzzle piece away from discovering everything."
"Don't worry, Dipper! Lord Mystery Ham is on the case!" She picks up Waddles, who's wearing a detective hat, "I play by me own rules, what what!"
"I don't know why I tell you things." I then looked at (y/n) for any answers, but part of me quickly realized he wasn't aware of the current conversation, "(y/n)? You okay?"
"H-huh? Yes, uh, sorry, just.. thinking.."
"About..?"
"Well, I.." he lets out a heavy sigh, "I won't be able to go to tonight's party.. I'll probably have to stay locked in my room during all of it.."
"What?! But what about our family karaoke?!" Mabel hugs Waddles against her chest, "Why can't you go?!"
He hesitates to answer, fiddling with his jacket sleeve as his eyes meet my own, "It's a full moon tonight.."
My skin grows pale, realizing what it meant, "Oh.. do you, like, need any help..?"
"I'll be alright as long as I keep my room locked from the outside, don't worry.."
"Well, if you need anything, just let me-" I was taken away from my train of thought when strange sounds started covering the first floor, "Do you guys here that?"
When we headed back into the gift shop, Stan was doing all and more to kick everyone out, yelling into the speaker, "The Mystery Shack is now closed!! Everybody out!! I will not hesitate to use the hose on the elderly!!"
"Stan?" (y/n) was the first to ask, "What happened?"
"Yeah, you never shut down the gift shop!" I followed after.
He didn't answer though, instead paved around for a bit, visibly sweaty when he headed to the door, opening it and greeting two men, "Welcome to the Mystery Shack, gentleman! What can I get you? Keychains? Snow globes? These rare photos of American presidents?" he asked as he tried to bribe them.
Both men wore tuxes and ear pieces, serious expressions on their faces as the one in front spoke, "My name is agent Power, this is agent Trigger. We're here to investigate reports of mysterious activity in this town."
"Activity," the other repeated.
"Mysterious activity?!" Stan forces out a chuckle to relieve the tension, "In the Mystery Shack?! You gotta be joking!!"
Power then started to speak again, "I assure you, I am not. I was born with a rare disorder that makes me physically incapable of experiencing humor." When Stan forced out more laughing, he continued, "I don't understand that sound you're making with your mouth, now if you'll excuse us we're conducting an investigation."
Trigger followed Power inside, repeating words again, "Investigation."
This was my chance!
I ran over to the agents, trying to stop the smile on my face, "Wait wait, did you guys say you're investigating the mysteries of this town?!"
"That information is classified," Powers first said before kneeling down in front of me, "But yes. Look, between you and me, I believe there's a conspiracy of paranormal origin all connected to this town. We're just one small lead away from blowing the lid off this entire mystery."
"Are you kidding me?! I'm investigating the exact same thing!! I found this journal in the woods which has almost all the answers!! If we work together, we could crack the case!!"
He glanced back at his partner, then pulled out a business card, "If you have evidence of these claims, we should talk."
This time, the smile on my face was huge as I took the card, "We can talk right now!! Please please, come in! I have so much to show you!!"
Stan, however, pushed me away, letting out another obviously fake laugh, "I'm sorry, agents, kid has an overactive imagination, and like, sweating problems."
Mabel laughed from behind, "Zing!!"
"Paranormal town stuff is just part of gift shop lore! Sells more tickets, you know?"
Soos walked over to the two, placing a pair of headbands on their heads, "Boop boo- doop boop boop! Swag!"
Power was having none of it, "We have other spots to investigate, we'll be on our way."
"I'm confiscating this for evidence," Trigger said as he grabbed a few Stan bobble heads, following Power, who I heard reply with 'Smart move'.
"Wait!! No, wait, we have so much to talk about!!" I tried to run after them, only for Stan to get in my way.
"Hold it, kiddo. Trust me, the last thing you want around during a party is the cops, he grabbed my card, "I'm confiscating that card. Now how's about you go be a normal kid, flirt with a girl or steal a pie of a windowsill."
I watched as he left the room, "But grunkle Stan, you don't understand!!"
"And don't go talking to those agents!" he yelled back.
"Ugh, that could've been my big break..."
"Mason?" I turned to see (y/n) walking over, even more nervous than he was before, "As much as I want to support you looking for the unknown in every possible way, I don't think it'd be the best thing if you contacted those agents.." he tugged down his sleeve, "At least, not today, you know..?"
I understood what he meant, the last thing I wanted was to put (y/n) danger, but I was also worried about that being my last chance to have more help.
Mabel walked over to us, "Bro, maybe grunkle Stan is right! We're throwing a party tonight! Can't you go one night without searching for aliens or raising the dead or whatever?"
"I'm not gonna raise the dead, I just need a chance to show those agents my book."
"Trust me, Dipper, the only book you'll need is tonight is right here!" and she handed me a book of karaoke songs, "Ah, c'mon! I say kara, you say oke! Kara! ... Kara! ... Kara! ... I could do this all day!"
Maybe I could try getting the card back soon..
The afternoon was turning onto evening, the time of the party getting closer and closer. What made me nervous was the other event that was getting closer, the full moon, (y/n)'s change.
We had already previously made adjustments for tonight, locks on the door and windows, taking out all the furniture so he wouldn't break it. And yeah, we were all a little nervous since it was the first time it happened in the shack, but Mabel and I agreed to claim any blame if Stan noticed anything.
I decided to stop by before helping outside, knocking on his door, "(y/n), you doing okay?"
"Y-yeah!" his voice cracked, something that rarely happened, "Just- trying to keep it together, you know?"
"Can I come in?"
"NO! No, it's- it's not safe right now, I'm already starting to lose control of myself. Better safe that sorry, you know?"
I didn't listen, unlocking the door and walking inside. (y/n) flinched at the sight, already wrapped in a heavy winter jacket, rocking back and forth in the corner as he hugged his legs against his chest, "Mason, I told you-!"
"(y/n), I've told you before, I'm not scared of you.." I walked over, sitting beside him, "I just wanna check on you before your, uh.. quarantine.."
"It's not like I'm not used to it, happens twelve times a year, I just.. now I have people nearby, you know..? Especially tonight, everyone's gonna be gathered outside.."
"You could stay in the attic, if you wish," I offer, "It's safer up there, for you and everyone.."
"Thanks, but I'd rather not wreck your room instead.."
I glanced up at him, seeing his gaze focused on his feet, which already seemed bigger than usual, once again scratching the back of his hands. Doing my best to not scare him, I carefully grabbed his hands in my own, to which he seemed to blush at, but also panic, "M-Maze, no, I'm already-"
"No matter what happens tonight, know that I won't look at you any differently than how I'm looking at you now, okay..?"
He stared back at me, and now that he was tightly gripping my hands, I could feel the slight trembling. Still, he nodded, not letting go, "Okay.. yeah.. It'll- it'll be fine, I just need to-" he was interrupted by a grunt of pain, his eyes shifting color for a moment, tightening his grip on my hands out of instinct, "B-be alone, until morning, thanks for stopping by, but you need to go. Please."
"Okay, I will," I stood up, looking around the room for a few seconds, before quickly hugging his head into my chest and rushing out before he could reach, locking the door once more.
I'm not a religious person, but I really pray that he stays okay..
About an hour passed after that, and I was out with Wendy finishing up the shack decorations. We had made posters that were a black background with glow-in-the-dark lining, it was pretty cool, but I was mostly distracted by (y/n)'s situation, worry filling my brain.
"Check it out, these black lights make my teeth look scary!" Wendy smiles, turning on the neon lights so her teeth and eyes glow along, "It's like a crime scene in my mouth! C'mon, you love it."
"It's not fair.. (y-" I quickly stop myself, mentioning the other reason that worried me, "Finally I meet someone who can help me solve the mysteries of this town, and Stan confiscates their card!"
"Dude, I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but I'm pretty sure Stan hides everything in his room."
I let out a sigh, "If I get into Stan's room I could get in so much trouble.."
"Yeah, you're probably right." She then kneels down, meeting my eye level with a smile and placing a party hat over my own, "That's what makes it fun, dummy!"
Well.. it wouldn't hurt to try it, right? I just need to keep them away from the shack, away from (y/n)!
Sneaking into Stan's room was easy enough, with him being out organizing the party, but Wendy still stayed by the door incase Stan needed to come back. It took me a while to actually find the box where he placed my card, I even saw some weird women magazines that I wish I could erase from my memory.
Finally, I found the box, and therefore the card, using the bedroom phone and calling the number that was shown, "Hi, this is Dipper, th-the kid from the Mystery Shack? The one with the um... sweating problems? I have that journal I wanted to show you! ... I'm a hundred percent positive!"
A gasp escaped my lips when the call was suddenly ended by Stan, now behind me with a deadly glare on his face.
"Sorry, Dipper.." she raised her phone, showing a picture of her friend, "I got distracted.."
Stan gripped the bridge of his nose, "Kid, why did you call those agents? Told you one time, I've told you a hundred times, there's nothing 'supernatural' going on in Gravity Falls!!"
"Yes, there is!!" I yelled as he took the phone and placed it back in its slot, "After everything that's happened you have to know that by now!!"
"All I know is that you're dumb obsession is gonna get us all in trouble one of these days!! Now go enjoy the rest of the party, cuz when it's over, you're grounded!"
He shoved Wendy and I out the door, and the two of us left. I couldn't hide the anger rising in me, Stan had to realize this town was far from normal by now! And I had to prove it!
"Fine, I'll just wait until the party gets full."
And that's what I did; I waited until more guests arrived and I snuck away from the shack, as far as I could go into the forest.
It didn't take me long until I met with the agents again, a smile of relief growing on my face, "Guys, I'm so glad to see you!! Working together we can crack all the big questions of Gravity Falls! Trust me, this book is the lead you've been looking for!" I handed them the book, continuing to brainstorm as they looked through it, "I'm thinking full scale investigation! Forensics, researchers, do you guys have a helicopter? I'm sorry, helicopters."
"Kid, I'd love to believe you, but this just looks like more junk from your uncle's gift shop. I mean, lepre-corn?" Power turned the journal around for me to see the page, "I can't be the only one that thinks that's not funny."
Trigger nodded, "I can confirm, not funny."
"No no, it's real, I swear!! You should 'send it to the lab'!! Am I saying that right?"
"Your uncle was right about that overactive imagination," he said before giving the journal back to me, "We've got paperwork to do, kid."
"Boring paperwork," Trigger adds before following Power away.
I felt myself starting to panic, this really was my only chance, I couldn't let this go!! "WAIT!! This book is real!! Gnomes, cursed objects, spells, listen!!! Corpus Levitus, Diablo Dominus, um, Mondo Vicium!!!"
There was a pause, silence, where even the agents didn't react, just listened to the wind. Then a second later, a long crack emerged from the ground, green light and clouds of smoke emanating from it, a strong stench covering the area. The last part was the hand, rotten and decayed, crawling out of the depths of the abyss.
The gravity of what I had down still hadn't landed on me at the moment, because my reaction was to laugh in satisfaction, "A zombie!! I real actual zombie!! See?! Spooky journal, 100% real!! Now can we work together?!"
Power looked around in terror, "Mother of all that is holy, what do we do?!"
"It's just one zombie. Trust me, I see stuff like this all the time," I replied with a shrug, only for the zombie to suddenly leap at me to attack, making me scream. Power was able to crush its head with a rock that he had found, and I let out a sigh of relief, "Good thing it was just that one."
But I spoke too soon, for more cracks began to appear on the ground, dozens of zombies crawling out.
I had really screwed up this time..
"Oh my gosh!! You guys can help, right?!" I turn to the agents, but they look even more horrified than me.
Power's the first to speak, "Kid, we've been chasing the paranormal for years, but we've never seen anything like this before!!"
"GET DOWN!" Trigger yelled before they were both talked by zombies, dragged into the dark of the forest.
What have I done?!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"What do you say, guys?!" I heard Mabel yell as I ran closer to the shack, "When I say Mabel, you say fun!!" The ground had just then began to shake as the cracks on the ground got closer and closer, people starting to scream instead of answering Mabel's party call, to which she was very confused about, "Why does that never work?"

"Whoa, I think it's an earthquake!!" I heard Wendy yell, "Hey, everyone, we gotta get out of here!!"

As everyone started running away, I finally got close enough to see the shack, seeing Mabel trying to stop everyone, "Wait, no, don't leave!! You haven't even done our family karaoke song yet!!"

Finally I was close enough, stopping to catch my breath, when she walked over to me with an angry glare, "Dipper, what's the one thing I asked you not to do tonight?!"

"Raise the dead.."

"And what did you do?!"

"Raise the dead..." I had to lower my head to look away, too ashamed to face her when I already knew I ruined everything.

A gasp escaped our lips as we saw the zombies making their way over, Soos running over to us, "Get back, dudes, this is about to get intense!!" We screamed for a while, until Soos interrupted, "Sorry, one second, and took out his phone to take a picture, "You got to admit this is pretty cool!"

I glared up at him, "Soos, we're about to get eaten by zombies!!"

"Don't panic!!" Mabel tries to calm us down, "Maybe they're just a really ugly flash mob!"

One of them lashes out at us, forcing us to jump back, with Soos in front of us, "Dudes, stay calm, I've been training for this moment my whole life. With all the horror movies I've seen, I know literally everything there is to know about how to avoid zombies."

And at that moment, exactly at that moment, a zombie bit his shoulder. Great, fantastic.

The quickly-rotting Soos turned to us, "On second thought, I'm gonna flip the script. Can I eat your brains? Yay or nay? Seeing some yay faces over here."

With another scream, I grabbed Mabel's hand and ran to the side of the shack, only for more zombies to corner us from that side as well. I looked around in a panic, my eyes landing on a potential escape, "Quick, the golf cart!!"

Too late; a group of zombies tackled the golf cart down, biting and ripping it. "Ah, c'mon!!"

Zombie Soos chuckled, "That's a bummer. Good news for me though!"

"SOOS!!"

"Sorry, dudes, I just really want those brains!"

I grabbed the first thing near me, which turned out to be a neon disco ball, throwing it and yelling for them to stay back. Unfortunately, no damage was done, and instead it landed in a zombie's throat, making that zombie glow all sorts of colors from all angles.

Soos laughed some more, "Give it up, dudes, fighting only makes us look more rad~!"

Mabel looked around, tightly gripping my arm, "What do we do?! Where's Grunkle Stan?!"

"How's he suppose to help?! He doesn't even believe in the supernatural!!" Suddenly, there was a tug on my sleeve, and I screamed as a zombie was about to bite my face, "NO!!"

Another tug, this time as the zombie was thrown off of me, followed by angry growling not far from us, zombie groaning heard from every angle before they slowly faded away. It was then that I opened my eyes and saw a familiar figure, one I hadn't seen in the last month; the same baggy hoodie with the mask and thick glasses.

"(y/n)!!" I yelled out of instinct, and he quickly glanced over, the (f/c) glow noticeable from under the glasses, "Be careful, don't let them bite you!!"

It was a stupid thing to say, everyone knows that's what zombies do, but I was in a panic! Still, he nodded, ripping any zombie that got near us into pieces, throwing an arm to the west and a head to the south, a foot in the trash and a rib to the roof. He seemed to be handling it well for a while, but as the seconds went by, his movements got more jittery, and he lost more focus. It wasn't difficult to see him trying to keep the beast inside took a huge toll on his body.

I looked at the shack, physically untouched so far. It wasn't the best option since we had no escape, but right now, it was the only place we could go to, "Quick, in the shack!!"

We all ran inside, with (y/n) keeping the door in place as the zombies tried to break in, and I quickly yell to Mabel, "We need to board up all the windows!!" It was quick, but we did what we could, stepping back to take a deep breath, "Okay, maybe that'll hold them.."

"Hey, dudes!" Soos crashes his head through the window, "By the way, I taught the zombies how to get into the fuse box! Among these dudes, I'm like a genius!" On cue, the power went out, "Get those brains, dawg!!"

(y/n) had to back away, standing in front of us protectively as his whole body trembled, doing his best to keep his ground. Mabel was starting to break, turning to me with horror in her eyes, "Dipper, isn't there something in the journal about defeating zombies?!"

"No, there's nothing in here about weaknesses!!" I yelled as I desperately searched through my journal, my breathing quick as my panic grew, "This can't be happening, I wanted answers so bad I put everyone in danger!! Now we're toast, it's all my fault, and no one can save us!!"

A group of zombies broke in, and as (y/n) tried to hold them back, one snuck up through the window and grabbed me by my shirt, lifting me off my feet, "No, NO!! AHH!! GUYS, I'M SO SORRY!!"

"DIPPER!!"

Another scream out of me as I closed my eyes, thinking I'd be gone for good, when a loud wack was heard, making me fall on the ground, a familiar voice yelling back, "You three, attic, now!!"

"Grunkle Stan?!"

He was beat up, bruised and covered in zombie good, a bat in hand as he glared down in rage, "I said NOW!!"

Before I could argue, (y/n) picked up Mabel in one arm and grabbed my hand with the other, running up the stairs, locking the attic door before tripping on a lose floor board, all of us falling down.

Finally, I had a moment to catch my breath, sitting up as I held my side and taking a few seconds to calm myself, if only a little.

The growling was what brought me back, looking over at (y/n), and a chill went up my spin. He was kneeling against the far wall, clutching the wood with a hand and his face with the other. I took a step forward, calling his name, but a small gasp escaped my lips when claws started ripping through his gloves and digging into the wall, ripping a line down.

I placed a hand on his shoulder, making him freeze up for a moment, "Just hang in there a little longer, w- we'll fix this! We just need to- um-"

We all froze as the door began to rattle, getting ready for any zombie, any monster that could break in and kill us all, when Stan ran in and shut the door behind him, "Oh, wow, everything hurts."

Overjoyed to see him alive, I ran over to him, "Grunkle Stan, that was amazing!! Are you alright?!" However, I flinched under his glare, anger radiating around him, "Heh, well, at least you can't deny magic exists anymore, right..?"

He let out a heavy sigh, pausing before replying, "Kid, I've always known."

"Wait.." My body turned cold, not understanding what he meant, "what are you talking about..?"

"I'm not an idiot, Dipper, of course this town is weird!! And the one thing I know about that weirdness is that it's dangerous!"

The door was cut through, more zombies crawling over to us as Stan stood in front of us, "I've been lying about it to try and keep you away from it!! To try to protect you from it!!" He punches a zombie, its head popping off and being thrown out the window, then turned to us with an expression of sadness, "Looks like I didn't lie well enough.."

Of course he already knew.. Stan wasn't as dumb as he presented himself, I should know that well by now, he's a conman, for Pete's sake! He just wanted to protect his family, and I just had to go head to head with him again!

I can never do anything right, can I..?

Mabel tightly grabbed my arm, "What do we do, what do we do?!"

I held my breath, trying to think, "Normally the journal would help us, but there's nothing in there about defeating zombies!! It's hopeless!!"

"Dipper, look!!" Mabel yelled after gasping, pointing at my open journal, "The text!! It's glowing in the black light!!"

"What?!" I kneeled down, placing the book on the ground as the ink slowly appeared, making me laugh in success, "All this time, I thought I knew all the journal's secrets, but they're written in some sort of invisible ink!!"

"Invisible ink..!" Stan whispered to himself.

"This is it!! Zombies have a weakness!!" I began to read, "Previously thought to be invincible, their skulls can be shattered by a perfect three-part harmony! Three-part harmony? How can we create that?"

"What about (y/n)'s roar? Can he roar?" Mabel suggested, to which the two of us glanced over to him, seeing him look at us with pure confusion.

"I'll take that as a no."

"Roaring?!" Stan asked, "And why is he so covered up and.. shaking?! Did he turn into a zombie too?!"

"No, it's- never mind, we'll explain that later," I waved him off, going back to the zombies, "Three-part harmony.. I have a naturally high-pitched scream."

Stan followed up, "I can make noises with my body, sometimes intentionally."

"Guys, guys, I think you're all missing the obvious solution," Mabel had a smile on her face as she spoke, one that honestly terrified me.

And in a matter of seconds, the three of us were on the roof, leaving (y/n) to guard the window.

"Hello, hello, is this thing on?" Mabel asked into the mic before yelling, "Zombies and gentlemen, I am Mabel, they're Dipper and Stan, and together we're Love Patrol Alpha!!!"

"I never agreed to that name!!" I quickly blurted out.

"Hit it!!"

The song starts to play, Stan looking over with a nervous expression, "Uh, Mabel, our lives may not be worth this."

She ignores it, gesturing me to start, and with a sigh and deep embarrassment covering me whole, I start to sing the lyrics that appeared on the screen.

"Friday night,
and we're gonna party 'til dawn.
Don't worry, Daddy,
I've got my favorite dress on?!"

I covered the mic, my face heating up as the embarrassment grew even more, "Mabel, this is stupid!!" She ignores us again, and continues the next lyric.

"Roll in to the party,
the boys are lookin' our way.
We just keep dancing',
we don't care what they say!
And all the boys are gettin' up in my face-"

She screams when a zombie grabs at her, looking at us in distress, "Guys, we have to sing together or it won't work!"

So Stan lets out a sigh, starts the next lyric.

"Boys are a bore,
let's show 'em the door,"

"We're takin' over the dance floor!" we all scream together.

"Ohhh!!
Girls do what we like!!"
OHHH!!
We're taking over tonight!!
Ohhh!!
Girls do what we like!!"
OHHH!!
We're taking over tonight!!"

"Takin' over tooniiiiight!" I added after. What, if I was gonna suffer through this, I might as well give it my all. And it was working! The louder we sang, the more zombie heads exploded, we could do this!

But a scream escaped me as the lyrics stopped and a zombie crawled up to my side, only for a punch to send it flying. I looked to my left, seeing (y/n) wiping off the zombie good, and I smiled at him, "Thanks!!"

The head landed in the punch bowl, and we noticed the sun starting to rise. We had done it! We all laughed at the success of our plan, Mabel yelling to her audience, "Thank you, we'll be here all night!!"

"Deal with it, zombie idiots!!" Stan added with a laugh before wrapping his arms around us, all of us chanting our last name.

"Don't celebrate yet!" a familiar voice spoke, and I saw (y/n) taking off his mask and sunglasses, revealing his usual features and a warm smile, "We got one hell of a disaster downstairs."

He was very right. When we headed downstairs, the walls were broken with the wallpaper peeling off, half the furniture was gone with the other half broken, the lights had fallen down, the electricity was busted, the water system was covering the floor, it was a mess that I caused and couldn't fix. Not on my own.

I let out a sigh, gripping my arm, "I'm sorry about this, guys, I totally ruined everything.."

"Dipper, are you kidding me?! Mabel smiled brightly, "I got to sing karaoke with two of my favorite people in the world!! No party could ever top that!"

I smiled at that, Mabel wasn't one to compliment me often, so I took it while I could, when Stab walked over to us, "Kids, listen.. This town is crazy, so you need to be careful. I don't know what I'd do with myself if you got hurt on my watch. I'll let you hold on to that spooky journal, as long as you promise me you'll only use it for self-defense and not go looking for trouble."

"Okay, as long as you promise me that you don't have any other bombshell secrets about this town," I answered back.

"Promise."

"Promise," I crossed my fingers behind my back, knowing I couldn't stop while I'm ahead. I knew I had to be more careful, but more mysteries had been spotted in this new writing the journal had.

Stan then sighed, "Man, we have done a lot of zombie damage to clean up. Where's my handy man anyway?"

On cue, zombie Soos walked in, "Brains... Brains..!"

"Holy Moses!!" Stan grabbed a chair out of instinct, about to throw it at the zombie when I yelled to stop him.

"Wait!! There's a page in here about curing zombification!" I read the ingredients, "It's gonna take a lot of formaldehyde."

Mabel peeked over, "Ooh, and cinnamon!"

"C'mon, Soos, let's fix you up," I said as Mabel pushed him into the hallway with a chair.

"Brains..." he continued, "brains..!"

"Soos, cut it out!" Mabel scolded.

He chuckled, "Sorry, dude."

"I still can't believe it!" (y/n) said as he glanced over my shoulder, reading the journal, "We just got a whole new chapter of secrets to explore..!"

"I know, right? This is gonna be so cool!" I let out a laugh, then glanced up at him, some memories coming back as the adrenaline died down, "Hey, uh.. how're you feeling?"

"Hm? Oh, I'm alright, just a little tired," he stretched his arms above his head, smiling as he opened his mouth to make another comment, only to his and quickly kneel down on one knee, tightly gripping his side, "Crap..!"

"(y/n)!!" I felt my blood run cold, grabbing his arm and helping him sit on the ground. His breathing got a little heavier, and he raised his shirt on his left side a little, my eyes widening at the sight. There was an area in his lower side, obsidian black as if his skin had been just burnt, with what seemed to be scales, only a few, but enough to see the pattern, "What the-?!"

He let the shirt fall back down again, forcing on a smile, "I-it's alright, Mason, it happens sometimes when I try to hold things in.."

I held my breath for a while, unsure of how to answer, before I helped him up onto his feet, "Let's get you to bed, you need to rest.."

Still, while today could've gone a lot better, we're all still alive, and we found one secret the journal had been hiding from us for so long now!

I can't wait to figure out what else we can find!

Thanks for reading!!! 'Till next time!!!

❤️❤️❤️
