Chapter Three

{Devin}

Tuesday, March 22, 2016

"Man, that was a hell of a practice." My friend Jacob walked towards the parking lot near the field with Damon, Avery, and I after track practice. The sun was still shining brightly but it was cold as fuck with the wind. Why is it so cold? Then I only had a black Adidas Jacket, white basketball shorts with a black strip to the side, and black and white Nike Roshes.

Damon then nodded his head in agreement as he held Avery close to his chest as she snuggled her head into his neck and she practically strangled Winnie by hers. Poor bear. "Forreal, if Coach Jones made us run another lap I was going to leave," Damon started off. "I was debating on even coming today." Damon had on a red Nike woven pullover, black Nike compression tights, and red roshe shoes.

Jacob raised his eyebrow, "Can you even last a whole week of practice?" Jacob looked like most of the fuckboys in school, but he's cool I guess. He was fair skinned with brown hair styled in that fuckboy haircut, has a stubble beard and brown eyes. Like many of our friends, he played football with us so had some muscles and was about 6'0.

"Yeah. Though I don't know why I did track this year." Damon started off before mumbling, "Not like we're going be here for the last events."

"Well hey, you won't have that to worry about. You know, if Coach Jones decides to cut you from the team for sassing him back."

Damon shook his head slightly, "Nah, he wouldn't do that. He needs me, I'm just that good."

"Arrogant too," I added.

Damon turned towards me and scoffed, "I'm good and you know it."

"That's true, you're good. But I'm better."

"Who's arrogant now?" Damon mocked me as he raised his eyebrow.

"Sadly both of you," Jacob sighed. "I hear it's a serious family genetic disease."

Damon rolled his eyes, "Apparently more than half the school has it."

"Sure," Jacob exaggerated, "But you two top the charts of arrogance."

I scoffed at him, "Don't start getting all humble on us."

"Y'all do more trash talking than me, and that's saying something."

"Sure. Say whatever helps you sleep at night." Damon said while opening up his black matte BMW with red rims once we arrived.

We said our goodbyes and Jacob went to his truck. I got in and placed my bags in the back seat. I made myself comfortable in the seat by leaning back and taking advantage of this leg room with my legs stretched out. Then I took out my phone to check my social media while waiting for the two to hurry up.

"Daddy, can- can we get a smoothie?" Avery asked in a cheery voice. I glanced through the wear view mirror to see Avery wide puppy eyes. I chuckled and shook my head at them.

"We got smoothies yesterday though," Damon mentioned while buckling her up.

Avery maintained her puppy eyes, "But today is a new day to get a new one."

Damon sighed in defeat, "Fine." He pushed his seat back in position before getting in while closing the butterfly door. If there's anyone who can talk Damon into anything, it's Avery.

I turned my head towards him with an amused face, "So, she has you wrapped around her finger, huh?"

Instead of straight reply back or even a glare a normal person would give, I got a light punch to the arm. Unfortunately for me, neither of us are really normal. "Cállate," Damon muttered before pressing the start button.f

I shook my head at him as Avery gasped loudly, "That's not nice daddy."

My lips curled into a smirk, "Yeah, you heard her. That's not nice."

Damon narrowed his eyes at me, "Estoy a punto de golpearte de nuevo. Más fuerte. (I'm about to punch you again. Harder.)" Moody ass.

Tsking, I shook my head at him. "Sad. Teaching my niece violence."

"More like I'm teaching her self-defense for when an idiot goes near her." Damon pulled out of the parking lot and drove toward Smoothie King. I rolled my eyes back at him and went back on my phone.

After a few minutes, Damon parked to the side of the Smoothie King. I opened and closed my butterfly door getting out the car. Once Avery was out the car, she dragged Damon across the lanes inside. I followed them inside and waited in line for a minute before ordering.

"Let me get uh, medium strawberry activator and strawberry bluegurt blitz." Damon turned to me, "What you want?"

"Um, a medium Hulk chocolate and a um... small strawberry gladiator with banana and blueberry juice blend." I might as well get Trinity something too. Though picking for her can be hard because she's a diabetic.

Damon narrowed his eyes at me for a moment before paying the lady. A bit later, we grabbed our smoothies and went back to the car and Damon drove us home.

Our house, more like mansion was a large white modern house with a few trees in the front. Damon drove through the driveway, which a portion of the second floor was above it, into the large courtyard. He parked towards the side right beside the house. I got out with my bags and smoothies, walked on the pathway past the blaring fire pit in the middle of a block of water under glass to the left of me and a descending staircase that curves to the front of the house.

After I opened the wooden door there were three wired ball chandeliers hanging and to the left was the staircase and a portion glass floor with water under it. Pass that is the hallways to the rooms. To the right is floors in beds against the wall. I walked forward to the great room.

As I entered the great room my step-father Owen was watching Around the Horn on ESPN while to the right Jamel was doing his homework at the dining room table. Bet he got in trouble for not doing his work. Damon walked past me and towards the kitchen with Avery trailing behind them drinking her smoothie.

Jamel looked up from his laptop and furrowed his brows. "Is that my smoothie?" He questioned. I just sipped my smoothie in silence and shook my head as I shuffled closer to view both of them. Their arguments are mildly entertaining. "Where's my smoothie then?"

"At Smoothie King," Damon answered plainly as he placed his bags down by the island.

"Why you ain't get me one?" Jamel rolled his eyes at Damon.

Damon shrugged as he took two plates out the cabinets and placed them down. "Why you ain't give me your Smoothie King money?"

"I don't get my allowance until Friday." Jamel sighed before he paused, squinting slightly as if he had a sudden realization. "You're rich though. You could have just got me one?"

"So? It's my money. And I guess you ain't getting a smoothie until Friday then."

Jamel rolled his eyes at Damon before he returned his attention back to his laptop. "Mean ass." He muttered that caused me to I shake my head as I walked towards the tv area. Not going to lie, Damon is pretty mean but he can be nice when he wants to be.

I sat on the far side of the couch as Owen was closer to the tv. Owen was a really light skinned dude in his late 30's. He had a triangular shaped face with light blue eyes, goatee beard, and very short dark brown fro. He basically looks like Steph Curry's shorter, long-lost father. Owen was only about 5'11, not even that taller than Mère (mother). Anyways he wore his navy jumpsuit uniform and boots, probably about to go to work at the plant.

When I sat down he turned his attention towards me, "How was practice?"

I shrugged my shoulders, "It was alright." I wasn't really looking forward to our small talk. His job is to make Mère happy and take of his kids and actually have a job. Not try to have small talk with me.

"Actually it was awful." Damon corrected me as he placed Avery's plate of red beans on the table and sat in her little purple chair while he sat near me with his plate.

Rolling my eyes at him, Owen shook his head at us, "How bad was it?" He spoke in his Baton Rouge accent.

"We ran two miles for punish work cause Coach was in a bad mood and a lot of people want to be late. And we had to work harder." Damon complained.

"But you were late too," I mentioned.

"For a good reason, everybody else didn't have one," Damon mumbled while he continued to eat.

Owen just nodded slightly and once the commercial break was over he turned his attention back to the tv. Probably regretting this awkward ass conversation. I shrugged and watched the show as the host was getting hyped over the Pelicans and Heat game tonight.

"Hey," Trinity smiled and came in with Mariah, both still in their school clothes. Trinity wore a sleeveless light green crop, light blue high waisted shorts, and some black Toms. She had her diamond stud earring and the diamond locket necklace I bought her last year.

I smiled back as and gave her the smoothie she sat down next to me, "Hey," then leaned to kiss her. Only to get pushed back as she scrunched up her face.

"Gosh, y'all need to take a shower." Trinity overdramatically scooted back from me. Damon and I just gave her the 'why?' look.

Mariah, who was sitting in between Damon and me, pinched her nosey. "Stinky butts."

"Wow," I exaggerated moderately, "y'all know just what to say. Such kind words. And I got you a smoothie"

Trinity rolled her eyes at me, "Just take a shower."

"Why though? So we can get sweaty all over again when Adria drags us to training?" Damon joined the pleasant conversation

"If she doesn't pass out from that stench." Trinity rolled her eyes, "The dumpster smells more pleasant right now."

"Showering would be a waste of water since we're going to shower in a few hours anyway. And if she does pass out, then we might get out of training."

Trinity leaned back slightly while crossing her arms, "Two showers never hurts anyone... Might need three in your case."

I shook my head at her slightly before paying attention to the show trying to figure out what the hell they're arguing about now. After a minute Trinity looked more annoyed when she scoffed, I turned my head towards her to see what she's being dramatic about now. She faked gagging as she got up and strutted away.

"Your girlfriend is such a drama queen. Just saying," I darted eyes at Damon as he placed his empty plate on the table.

"And you're a moody king." I grabbed the nearby pillow and threw it at his face.

Damon picked up the pillow then hit me back with it in the chest. It didn't take long before we had a full-blown pillow fight, whacking each other in the head and chest.

"Pillow Fight!" Avery and Mariah shouted in unison before quickly grabbing a pillow and joining in hitting us both. Of course, we had to ease up on the blows before Mama kills us.

After a few minutes of the fight, we paused when Adrianna spotted us. She had her eyebrow of judgment raised at the soon to be nineteen-year-olds, aka us. If she expected us to fully grow up she'll be disappointed for a long time, "Y'all so childish."

Speaking of childish, Damon threw a fucking pillow at her. Which didn't do shit because she caught it, "Time to train, Joyce is waiting on us." Adrianna threw the pillow at the back of Damon's head.

Damon rubs the back of his head grumbling, "Can we not today?"

I don't know why he even bothered asking today. Or at all. "No we can't now get up, we didn't yesterday and we need to make it up." Adrianna wore a white t-shirt with dark grey leggings and black and white Adidas running shoes. Her hair was in a small ponytail while there was a black and white bandana in her head.

Adrianna left the room probably to find Maia, wherever she is. I groaned as I got up from my seat and walked through the kitchen to the glass hallway to our group's crime building above the garage. My annoying twin and I actually designed and constructed the whole floor a few years ago. We were really bored and thought it'll be a better idea than being cramped up in the little office.

I climbed up the spiral staircase outside the garage to arrive on the patio deck and walked into the building. The first room was a living room with a kitchen to the side. LED lights lit up the room, giving it this techy vibe. I walked past the couches to the end of the hallway to enter the training room. It consisted of the main one that I just entered for fighting, and there are two doors that lead to the gym and holographic room.

In the room I was in, it was a large white and black room with huge lights on the ceiling. I walked down a few steps to the sparing floor, to the left of me was a white wall with all kinds of weapons hanging on it. In the middle of the floor is three black sparring mats were lying. On the outskirts were punching bags and dummies. On the other side of the room, there were more steps leading up to the platform leading to the other rooms.

Standing on a mat Blair and Mama was having a small chat. Mama is a thin fair skinned lady who is about 5'10. She has long blonde hair that's currently in a ponytail with an oval shaped face, light blue eyes, narrow nose and medium-sized lips. She looked like she was in her twenties but she was thirty-six. Mama wore a blue-green Nike tank top with black Leggings and black air maxes. She had a white and gold apple watch on her wrist.

"Took y'all long enough," Blair pointed out as she glanced at me then passed me. I turned back slightly too see Damon entering.

"At least we aren't the last to get here. Plus, isn't it 'better late than never'." Damon replied as she walked down.

"In your case maybe, seeing that you live my this motto." She sassed back. Blair wore a blue Nike sports bra with wavy designs on it, grey Nike shorts, and dark gray and green glow Jordan 5s. A lot of her tattoos was shown off on her shoulders, arm, and legs. As usual, she had a lot of jewelry on. She had a matching blue belly button ring and cartilage, a rose gold nose ring, and pearl and rose gold earrings in. Her curly hair was put up in a bun and she didn't seem to wear makeup.

"Well, in this case, never actually sounds better."

Blair rolled eyes slightly, "Whatever you say."

Before Damon got the chance to reply Ma spoke up in her thick French accent, "Where's Adrianna and Maia?"

I shrugged slightly, not really wanting to know where. We stood there, waiting for what seemed forever the door finally opened to Adrianna dragging an annoyed Maia with hickeys on her neck. I don't even want to know. Maia wore a black 'halter' sports bra with a mesh, black athletic shorts, and black and white Nike running shoes. I'm really surprised that Maia is wearing all black while Blair wore something 'colorful'. As for her hair, it was in a messy bun.

Blair raised her eyebrow while Mère looked down massaging her temples. Pretty sure her patience with Maia is dropping after last night.

"Why are we even training?" Maia yanked her hand out of Adrianna's grip and stepped to the side, "Don't we have to go out as well tonight?"

Adrianna looked at her like it's the most obvious thing in the world. "We missed out on yesterday's training because someone brought a guy here."

"For an educational purpose. And Damon got to practice his punching so I don't see why you are complaining." Maia paused, "and I bring guys out here quite often... and girls."

All of us looked at Maia in one description, disgust. Mama shook her head muttering, "Why do I bother." She then looked up at us with a sigh, "I'm going to pretend that this did not just happen. Today's section is going to be shorter because you're going out tonight. We're going to work on sparing, with our powers and weapons later."

Maia groaned and went over to Blair, "I'm sparing with Blair. Y'all can argue amongst yourself about everything else." Then walked over to a mat, grumbling how stupid training is.

I, along with most of us, rolled our eyes at her before going to our mats. Adrianna was with Mère on a mat on the other side of us. I glanced at Damon and he nodded slightly going to the other side of the center mat.

Damon rolled up his sleeves and on his forearm, a red chaotic energy like substance surround his hands. Great. There's literally no predicting what he'll do so that power is useless. I rubbed my fingers sparking electric beams.

Here goes nothing. I threw punches, blasting bolts of electricity at him. He did flips avoiding it and threw energy balls at me. I fell back and did a quick kick up sending an emission wave of technology. But Damon created a wall of energy blocking him from it. This is going to be a long spare.

~~~~
Maia and I switched through the police sat in our desk as we hacked into the police scanners, mainly local stations since Mère doesn't like going too far. She fears something would go wrong and we'll get exposed. Mère sat on to the side of my station, on her phone as she waited.
"21, 19, 100..."
The lady on the radio scanner announced. Complaint, Drunk, Hit & Run. I sat back in my chair now cleaned as I flicked through different channels listened. Tonight doesn't seem so active. We were all geared up and ready to help the police out even though they never ask for it. After training, I wore simple black clothes after being pushed into the shower by my lovely girlfriend. Anyways I wore a black Nike hoodie, joggers, gloves and Nike high top shoes. I had a pair of black Ray-Bans as well as a skull half face mask resting on my neck.
"23, 90D, 72..."
Traffic Congestion, Gambling with Dice, Forgery. Maia groaned at the lack of action as she leaned back in her chair, "This is so fucking boring." Like me and mostly everyone else, we wore all black. She wore a quiet relieving bra, an assassin like hoodie jacket, leggings, and sneakers with her leather masquerade mask on top of her forehead. Along with that, she had on a black choker, simple makeup with red lipstick on.
Blair sat on the couch behind us along with Adrianna and Damon while tossing her white pocket knife around. She wore her leather hooded jacket zipped up with leggings, and studded Timberlands while her hair is in a messy bun. The only thing on her face is a black jeweled mask that covered the bottom half of her face.
"Something has to be going on," Adrianna said in a hopeful tone. Being one of the oddballs with her red pant she also wore a black hoodie and converse while she held her black and red mask in her hands. Being the second oddballs Damon wore red Timberlands to go with his black Nike sweatshirt and joggers. His black bandana was covering the bottom half of his face while he wore black shades and a black snapback.
"65P, 67A, 64G..." Purse snatching, Auto Theft, Armed Robbery with Guns. Suddenly Maia jumped on her feet while Adria put her mask on, "I repeat, we have 64G on Canal Street at the Bank of America with hostages."
We all got on our feet, ready for Adrianna's famous speech. "Remember no killing," she glanced quickly at Maia, "or severely hurting anyone, and no exposing us."
Maia grumbled, "You do something one time and they always bring it up," under her breath as most of us put our hoods on. I raised my mask to cover under my eyes then put my hood on.
"And to get out there quickly before the police get inside," Mama added. "Be safe."
"We will," Damon assured before he opened the portal and we all entered.
We arrived towards the back of the building where the employees break area. Quietly, we walked to where the gunman was keeping the hostage security guards and a pizza guy. Wow, some guards.
"Hi boys." I rolled my eyes at Maia who is smirking while rocking back and forth in excitement and waved at them.
"Get to the ground now!" He pointed his Ak-47 at us but none of us got on the ground. Well, almost of all us didn't move.
"N'aww," Maia walked up towards him, "That's not very nice. You don't want to hurt me." Here we go again.
"I don't?" The gunman asked confused about why he doesn't want to hurt us all of a sudden. You're under her trance, man.
She walked closer to him, "No, of course not. You don't want to hurt the hum- hostages either. Right?"
"Right."
I turned towards Adria, who was undoubtedly scowling at Maia for almost saying 'humans' and flirting with him.
"So, how about we let them go, so we can finish up in here?" Maia was practically in front of him as he lowered the gun.
Nodding, the guy walked closer to them to untie them. Once freed, they didn't waste a second getting out of here and sprinted towards exit. "Thanks, sugar." Maia then kneed him in the balls, causing Damon and I wince, and knocked his gun away.
I looked around to see his friends come in with bags of money and guns in their hands. Seconds later bullets were fired from their machine guns, however, I slowed them down a bit to give us enough time to dodge them.
While the rest of my group kicked the robbers' asses, I actually had to make sure the camera footage is deleted. Sadly not all robbers delete the footage like a smart criminal would.
A robber wasn't too far away from me as he realized he was out of bullets. Moments later from behind, one of the robbers caught up to me and tackled me to the ground.
Bad news for him, I literally saw his plan coming. I stopped running to give him a good kick in the face making him fly into the wall.
I shook my head at him before continuing towards the room. As I entered the room, I grabbed my gloves out of my hoodie pouch and put it on before working my magic on the computers. I slide towards the computers on the desk chair. The bank's security wasn't super advance making it quicker for me. Alright, now to delete the video from the time they arrived to now... and shut the cameras off.
Just as I was finishing up heavy footsteps were rushing towards my direction. Great. I got up from the chair as soon as the two armed guys arrived, one having blood on his face. Guessing it's the one I kicked, he does not look happy at all. "What's up?" I asked them before throwing the chair at them giving me enough time to find cover behind the desk from the gunfire. The bullets came through the desk like it was nothing next to my body. Since I'm not really supposed to use my powers against them I pulled out the classic revolver from under my sweatshirt and slowed down their bullets slightly when I fired back at them.
The gunfire soon ceased and the men grunted as they fell to the floor. Slowly I started to raise with gun pointed at them just in case they try something. Both men were hyperventilating as blood seeped from their arms and legs. I headed into the hall where they laid with a leered gaze. As I picked up their machine guns up and began to take the magazine out.
"So, you're one of the so-called 'vigilantes'?" One of the men scorned lowly. I just glimpsed at him as I tossed the magazines to the side away from them. "You think you're better than us and above the law and shit, huh?"
I deepened my voice, "No, I don't." I then hit them in the head with the back of the gun, knocking them both out.
Damon jogged at the entrance of the hallway, "We gotta go!"
After dropping the gun I quickly ran up the hall to see the robbers passed out or groaning in pain. The police lights and sirens blaring outside as one of the officers were on the megaphone threatening to come in. All of this is going on and Maia kissing the check of one of the guys. Lord help us. "Thanks for the help." She grinned before standing up.
"We have to leave now!" Adrianna eyed Maia before facing us.
All of us headed in the direction that we came in and Damon opened another portal and we went in, arriving in the foyer of our house.
Damon was the first to leave when he went up the hallway probably towards Avery's and Mariah's room. Blair was the second to as she went into the living room.
"I'll see you all tomorrow... Maybe." Maia headed towards the front door with Adrianna tailing her. And there goes another actually leaving, while I'm just standing here awkwardly.
"Where are you going?" Adrianna questioned her giving her the 'evil' eye.
Maia stopped, "Geez momma bear, relax," she exaggerated relax before rolling her eyes. "I'm just going to have some fun."
Adrianna crossed her arms,"Doing what?"
"Either having sex or shooting up some people." She paused in thought before shrugging, "I'll decide on the way."
"How about neither."
Maia laughed for a few seconds, "And some people say you are too serious."
"I am being serious," Adrianna narrowed her eyes at her.
"Gosh, I fucking know that," she probably rolled her eyes once more, "I'm just going to hang out with Rhys. Really. Now get off my back."
Adrianna sighed, "Just be back soon."
"Okay, sure," Maia said sarcastically before grabbing her keys and leaving.
"Seriously," Adrianna then followed her outside.
Well, this will end badly.
"Hey, babe." My lovely girlfriend welcomed me from the hallway entrance before strolling into the lonely foyer. She was wearing one of my t-shirts and her red Nike shorts with the necklace hanging from her neck.
I flashed her a smile as she walked by me, "Bonjour, mon cœur (Hey, my heart)." Trinity-ann blushed slightly before wrapping her arms around my neck as mine snaked around her waist. I leaned in to kiss my queen as I pulled her closer to my body. Her lips curled into a smile as she ran her fingers through my curls. The kiss lasted for another minute, I pulled away before Adrianna could walk in and decapitate me. "You seem happy."
"Well," Trinity exaggerated with a smile, "My boyfriend just came home safe and sound, prom, graduation, and your birthday are coming up within eight weeks. What's not to be happy about?"
I shrugged my shoulders, "That it couldn't be closer."
"True."'
Adrianna then stormed back inside with a pissed off expression. Before it can get any worse Trinity let go of my neck as I removed my arms from her waist. Adrianna glanced towards us with annoyed look before going up the hallway. It's pretty sad that we have to do this around Adrianna even though I've been dating her sister for almost two years now and we lived in the same house for about six. It's not like I'm some random nigga or would intensely hurt her.
"Devin!" I snapped out of my thoughts to see Trinity holding up her arm up with blood smeared on it. "Take your hoodie off."
Shit. "It probably not even my blood."
"Better to be safe than sorry. Take off the hoodie."
"I'm fine Trin," I assured her but I know she's still hella worried.
"How can you be so calm? You're bleeding and you're supposed to heal!" Trinity frustratingly fussed at me.
I shrugged my shoulders, not really having an answer to say. A moment passed as Trinity-ann crossed her arms and gave me the 'look'. The famous Scott look. Not a good look at all.
"Joyce!" Trinity yelled from the top of her lungs as she glared at me, "Kitchen. Now."
I groaned slightly at her before going towards the kitchen. Don't get me wrong, I love that she cares about me but this wasn't a that big of a deal for me. Worse shit has happened.
Mama came rushing in the kitchen. "What's wrong?"
"Devin isn't healing and is bleeding in the shoulder," Trinity explained with some annoyance in her voice.
Mama sighed before getting the first aid kit out of the cabinet and walking towards me. "Let's get this sweatshirt off and sit down." It's sad that she's gotten used to me coming home hurt.
With my 'good arm' I grabbed the back of the hoodie to pull it above over my head ever so gracefully. I didn't wear a shirt under so it was just my defined abs and chest showing, with of course the wound and blood dripping down it. Okay, maybe it's a little bad but it's not the worst.
Mama grabbed the tweezers out the kit, "You must stop scaring your girlfriend to death. Probably almost gave her a heart attack."
"Thank you." Trinity agreed dramatically. Mama began her attempt of using the tweezers to pull it out.
I chuckled cheekily, "It wasn't that serious. I can't help that they were shooting at me."
Trinity-ann rolled her eyes me, "You have superpowers, use them!"
"I slowed like ninety-nine percent of the bullets down. And they were shooting through the desk I took cover."
"It should have been a hundred percent."
I would have shrugged if Mama wasn't working on my shoulder. "Oui mon coeur."
Jamal walked into the room in some basketball shorts, heading in the direction of the fridge. Before actually making it to the fridge he stopped in front of us."Bruh, what happened to you?"
"I got shot."
He furrowed his eyebrows but shrugged his shoulders, something I can't really do now. "Okay." Jamal continued to get a drink out the fridge. Wait.
"Is that my smoothie?" I narrowed my eyes at his smug face as he took the straw out and threw that and the lid away.
"Nope." Liar.
"Boy, put my smoothie back."
"You should have bought me a smoothie." This negro started to slurp the rest of my smoothie in front of me. He lucky Mama was right here or he would have got hurt.
I looked closer to the cup and a cruel little smirk came on my lips when I saw the name on the cup. It was actually Damon's smoothie. Lord have mercy on Jamal's soul. I was gonna tell him but since he wanna be smart I'm not saying shit. He's going to learn.
As Jamal walked out the room Mère finally got the bullet out and the wound began to heal, "There. Is there another injury you failed to mention?"
"No ma'am." I honestly didn't know, if there was any it probably already healed up. Mère was packing up her first aid kit up and threw the bullet away. I grabbed a paper napkin to wipe up the blood on me.
"Bien. I'm going check your brother before going to bed. Buenas noches." Mère walked out of the kitchen, leaving Trinity-ann and me alone.
"See, I'm fine." I remained seated with that small cheeky smile.
No reply.
"Seriously Trin?"
No reply.
Alright, since I have 'superpowers' I manipulated the air to pull her towards me and sat her on my lap. "Come on amoureux (sweetheart), please talk to me," I spoke softly as I wrapped my arms around her, making sure she doesn't try to get away.
Trinity-ann sighed as she looked down, slightly biting her bottom lip. A loose piece hair was in her face so I gently tucked it behind her ear. It took a moment for her to gather her thoughts so we just sat in silence. She's probably a bit mad at me but I was just admiring her beauty.
"I just wish you'd be more careful. Like I get you that you go out to help people and a lot of times it dangerous. But you scare the crap out of me come home hurt or that you're not going to come back home at all."
"I'm sorry for scaring you. I should be more careful, but," I gently lifted her head so I can look in her pretty brown eyes, " I'm always going to come back for you and that's a promise. Okay?"
"Okay."
I gave her a small smile before I closed my eyes leaning in to kiss her soft lips. Her lips curled into a small smile while her hand was placed on my jawline as the kiss deepened.
About a minute into the kiss, all I heard was "Ew. Get a room." Gladly. Trinity broke the kiss and turned around to see Blair changed into a black tank top, shorts, and a bonnet.
We both rolled her eyes at her, "You're just jealous that you don't have a boyfriend." Trinity pointed out. Not that Blair would care much.
"No, not really. I have food and a huge closet of clothes, shoes, Shai... and wine." Blair said before she went into the mini wine refrigerator and pulled out a bottle.
Trinity shook her head slightly, "seriously?"
"Yes, I need my wine after dealing with morons at school all day," Blair answered while getting her wine glass out.
"Anyways," Trinity stood up, "unlike y'all, I actually need my beauty sleep. So I'm going go to bed."
"Good night Aurora, hope Maleficent doesn't come after you and Prince Philip." Blair joked opening the bottle and pouring the wine into the cup.
Trin shook her head at Blair before smiling and pecking my lips, "Night."
"Night." I smiled back before she walked out the kitchen. I got up too, grabbing my bloody sweatshirt and teleported it to my clothes basket. Then walked into the living room to Damon getting on the Xbox.
"What you finna play?" I asked as I took a seat on the couch.
"2k."
I summoned a controller in my hands, "Get ready to get your ass beat."
