[LEANE POV]

The beauty and the life of the vast, evergreen Fangorn Forest was breathtaking.

The deeper we entered the forest, the more astonished I was. It was as if I could feel the trees' feelings.

Scratch that. I really heard their feelings in my heart. It was of peace, contentment and wisdom. These trees were old, very old, and I could feel the depth of their wisdom and their experience; how they had seen countless war and peace.

One tree caught my attention; it was the biggest, the tallest, and the loudest tree around here.

I stared in awe and admiration; it enchanted me like nothing ever did.

Legolas put his arm around my waist and smiled at me; his eyes filled with excitement at everything around us, and my expression mirrored his.

We both gazed at the mighty tree in front of us. Our faces was like a child's face who just stared at Santa. We were left speechless with total awestruck, our minds blown.

I heard heavy footsteps came beside us and Gimli grunted, exclaiming, "Lad and lassie, I would very much like to move on if you two finished praying to the tree!"

Me and Legolas laughed at him as Gimli rolled his eyes.

Suddenly my mind replayed back into the vision I saw in the mirror of Lady Galadriel's. My heart flooded with happiness and joy at the realization that this moment right now was one of the vision I foresaw beforehand, and that it came to pass.

I stared at Legolas who were gazing at the giant tree before us with amazement. His eyes twinkled with wonderment and his lips upturned in a smile that lit up his already glowing face.

It was so natural to see him here, in the nature, surrounded by the mighty trees and as the sunlight showered its golden ray on his form. His soft, flaxen hair glowed and formed a halo around his face.

He was beautiful, a picture of perfection, and I had never been happier in my life to witness this sight before my eyes. I sighed; I could just have a tub of popcorn and just watch him like this in all his immaculate, supermodel glory.

Legolas turned his head to see me, catching me staring at him. His smile grew wider as he tightened his arm on my waist.

"For once I can relate to the way you can sense people's emotion," he said. "I can feel the trees," he mentioned under his breath, awe was thick in his melodious voice.

"Me too, aur nin. I can feel them too."

Legolas eyes lit up at my confession. I placed a hand on his face and pulled him down for a kiss.

Everything was perfect.

"You are perfect," he said softly as he brushed my cheek lightly with his thumb.

For a split second I was shocked; it was as if he read my mind. Legolas flashed his attractive boyish smile and captured my lips in his. His joy and happiness radiated off of him and it was infectious. Soon I forgot everything else but him.

A deep rumbling laughter snapped us from our own world and we turned around to see Gimli cackled while he smoked from his pipe.

"Save all that smooches for tonight when you two lovebirds are alone, will you? Now I'm famished; where's the lunch?" he said between a rumbling chuckle.

My face grew hot and I let go of Legolas' grasp, while Legolas looked down at me with a seductive eyes and winked. He managed to turn to Gimli and spoke normally.

"Forgive us, my friend. We got carried away by the moment. Is Lembas bread good for everyone?" he asked us with a fake innocence, but we knew better.

Me and Gimli shouted collectively in defiance and horror at the mention of eating the elvish waybread. Again. We had enough of it for months during our quest and we were sick of it.

"NO!!"

That got Legolas burst out in laughter and I punched his arm playfully. We three shared a merry banter afterwards and life couldn't get any better.

That night when Gimli was fast asleep and snoring loudly, Legolas led me away into the forest where we succumbed into each other's presence and shared the love we make just like many nights we shared together in Minas Tirith.

There, on the soft grass, under the beauty of the stars and the moon, they became the witness of our love as our bodies joined together surrounded by the ancient force of the Fangorn Forest.

The experience was beautiful beyond comparison.

I guess I had Eru the Illuvatar to thanked. And of course Mike, the Valar.

And Ajax.

[ E P I L O G U E ]

Gimli's friendship with Legolas was unbreakable that they decided to stick together for as long as they could, much to my pleasure.

Legolas remembered his promise to me and brought me back to see the beauty of Rivendell once again, where I met Bilbo Baggins, the old hobbit that I grew to fond of so much before the quest.

We got to see the garden in the lower level of the elven city again, the place where we spent a lot of our time together. The place where our love for each other blossomed for the very first time.

We traveled to Mirkwood Forest and I felt such privilege to be able to lay my eyes on Legolas' beautiful home. Along my stay in Mirkwood, King Thranduil had became the father figure that I missed so much.

True, he was different from my dad, but under the facade of cold and indifference, hid a caring man who would do anything in his power to protect and make sure the ones he loved to be happy.

I also happen to discover that Legolas' sassiness ran in the family. Thranduil could be an ass too. A good kind of ass, and I didn't mean it sexually– I still think my husband's ass is the best.

After several months, we traveled to the Ithilien Forest where Legolas build a colony, just east of Gondor, enabling us to travel to Minas Tirith often to visit Aragorn and Arwen.

The Elves played a great role in the reconstruction of eastern Gondor and gained the respect of King Aragorn. The colony that Legolas built was settled by the Elves of Mirkwood and former residents of Elven kingdoms in the north, who were welcomed there by Legolas. The land soon became once again the fairest country in all the westlands.

I had two children with Legolas, a girl, named Caladwen which means 'light' in Sindarin, and a boy, whom I named Asher which means 'blessed' in my world.

Funny thing was, Caladwen looked just like me, dark hair and eyes, pale skin. But her pointy ears gave away that she got them from her adar, Legolas.

On the contrary, Asher, with flaxen hair and icy blue orbs looked exactly like Legolas, save for the non pointy ears that resembled more like mine.

The prophecy I saw in the mirror about Aragorn and Arwen came to pass.

I saw Aragorn and Arwen kissing in a stone courtyard lovingly one day when I was visiting Minas Tirith with my family. I was about to turn around to give them some privacy before their moments of intimacy was ruined by two beautiful little kids, a boy and a girl running towards them chasing each other. Their daughter, Mirima, screamed, "Adar, help me!"

Aragorn laughed, "Come here, my daughter," as he scooped up his daughter in his arms and Arwen caaughy the running boy, who was named after Boromir. Arwen planted a kiss on his cheek.

The prophecy was accurate and with that, all the prophecy that I saw had come to pass perfectly.

We kept contact with the rest of the Fellowship members as well. Samwise Gamgee finally married the girl he loved, Rosie, and they were blessed with three children.

All in all, we all lived happily in peace, until one day I first heard the call of the sea. Right then my heart yearns to go to the West, just like Legolas and Gimli, who by the blessings of the Valar granted a pass to the our final destination.

We lived for another century after the Ring was destroyed before Legolas built a ship for us and our kids, including Gimli, and embark on our last journey and set sail to Valinor.

The Undying Lands, where our spirits lived forever under the care of the Valar. The place where our tears were wept away, where sorrow and sickness were unheard of and soon left our memories.

Where I and Legolas dwelled together in eternal bliss and happiness. Our spirits joined together from that moment on to forever and more.
