"The spirit of Forgiveness?" Elinor asked. "According to the locater,.. it's at the Suziki Compound, my old home." Kami answered. "Kami, we don't have to go in if you don't want to." Carly suggested. "No, were already here so we might as we go in."
Kami answered as they reached a stone wall. She then placed her hand on it making the wall disappear as the wall disappear there were 2 guards behind the stone wall. "State you name." One ordered. "Kami Suzuki." Kami answered as the guards blocked her from entering. "Sorry miss, by orders of your father, you're not allowed on the compound." The other guard explained.
"May I ask why?" Kami asked. "She's standing right next to you, Kami." The guard answered. "Oh my god... my father is still mad at me because I am dating Carly?" Kami asked. "That is correct miss." The other guard answered. "I'm am the rightful ruler of the compound so I should at least be able to enter it." Kami explained. "Guards... let her in... only Kami and Carly." A voice ordered.
Kami looked behind the guards to see her father's scolding eyes staring at her. The guards then moved lets Kami and Carly pass. "Father." Kami greeted. "Kami." He then paused and looked at Carly. "Friends of Kami's." He said through the skin of his teeth. "You know damn well what I am to Kami." Carly growled. "Please come inside." He suggested as they went inside.
"May I ask why you're here?" He asked. "That's not you're concern, father." Kami answered. "As you're father, Kami, you must tell me." He demanded. "We have a mission, I'm not allowed to say anything else." Kami answered. "Alright, you know that he kind is not welcome here." He reminded her. "Then why did you invite me into the house?" Carly asked. "I know Kami wouldn't come in if you didn't." He answered.
"Father I would like to know why I'm not welcome in the compound anymore?" Kami asked. "Until you break up with Carly." He answered. "No, I'm not breaking up with Carly, if it means I wont be able to enter into the compound anymore so be it." Kami explained. "Kami, I don't know hat you see in this... this... this thing!" Carly glared at him. "She has a name, father, and it's Carly, I'm not ashamed to be with her." Kami answered.
"I'm sorry Kami, I just can't accept the fact that you're with that thing." He then stood up and so did Kami. "I told you already father she has a name!" Kami reminded him. "I don't care what her name is! You can't be with her!" He scolded. "Why do you hate her so much!?" Kami asked. "She just isn't allowed here! Her kind is vicious, ruthless, and dangerous!" He answered.
"Not all of us are like that." Carly interrupted. "Who's to say you're not lying." He asked. "I'm not!" Carly answered. "You're from the Snowy mountain pack correct, Carly?" He asked. "Yes, why." Carly answered. " If I'm correct, wasn't you're pack the one who was in alliance with the Veazanee?" He asked as Carly slammed her hands on the table.
"You know damn well we broke that alliance after that they did to me and my ancestors!" Carly answered. "And exactly what did they do to you're ancestors?" He asked. "Father!" Kami scolded. "No, it's fine Kami, you wanna know what the did to me and my ancestors?" Carly asked still looking into Kami's father's eyes with fire in them. "Please enlighten me." He answered rudely as Carly rolled up her sleeve to reveal she had a two back snakes intertwining with each other.
"What is that?" Kami asked. "The Hymn of Hell, it's a binding curse, the curse that puts venom in your veins at random times until it fills up you're entire body and you die. The Veazanee used our packs as test subjects for the curse." Carly explained. "And who knows maybe they'll come for you too, if you keep being with Carly!" He warned Kami. "I don't care! I'd go through hell and back for Carly! If I could transfer that curse to myself in an instant if I could." Kami yelled. "You don't mean that Kami." He sighed. "Yes I do father." Kami said.
"Okay, I you do mean it." He then placed one hand on Carly's arm and one on the Kami's arm. "Transfer." He chanted as the curse moved to Kami's arm. "AGH!!!" Kami yelled in pain collapsing to the floor. "What's wrong with you!? Putting the curse on you're own daughter!!" Carly yelled. "She's the one who said she would transfer it to herself if she had to!!" He shouted back. Carly then opened the door. "Get me a medic in here!!" Carly yelled as a nurse ran towards them. "What happened to miss Kami?" The nurse asked.
"We have no time to explain. Just hurry up and save her!!" Carly answered as the nurse ran towards Kami's side. "This is..." The nurse started. "The Hymn of Hell, yes I know, but can you save her?" Carly asked. "I can try." She answered. "There is no try! You either save her or god help me!" Carly threatened as the nurse nodded quickly. Days later, Carly and the others were in the medical unit, Carly was just pacing back and forth. "Carly she's gonna be fine. Just calm down." Griffin assured her. "Do not tell me to calm down! Cause that is the one thing I can't do." Carly yelled still pacing. Suddenly the doctor came out. "There is only allowed one vistor at a time, so who wants to go first?" The doctor asked. "I'll go first." Carly answered walking into Kami's hospital room.
Kami was laying in her bed asleep, "She's in a coma, we had the curse to slow down." The doctor explained before he closed the door giving her and Kami some privacy. "Hey Kami, it's me Carly, but you already know that, I'm sorry you're in the hospital." Carly sat next to Kami's hospital bed. "Okay, Kami. It's only you and me now. Just the way you like it." Carly sighed. "I know you haven't had the time, but your nails are a disaster. Don't worry. I got you covered." Carly then started painting Kami's nails a cute violet color. "So you'll never believed what happened at church." Carly started. "That's right, we went." Carly continued. "Liam, Roxy, even me. And no, just because Roxy dosent believe in god, she didn't burst into flames. She went on about how there's no data for god and stuff." Carly laughed. "I thought you'd like that one." Carly's laughter died down.
"Anyways, Father Jose did the homily. Besides from Roxy's constant mumbling about the lack of data in the Bible. I actually learned something. "To whom much as been given, much will be required" That's from Luke." Carly cited. "But, it's also from Spider-Man." Carly continued as she painted the other hand. "You know who Jesus said that to?" Carly asked. "Peter. Parker." Carly answered. "Anyways, a couple of FYI's. I made sure to record El Amor y La Sangre. You'll wont believe what Rosalita did to Maria and Lusia. No spoilers, but, Francisco estã vivo!" Carly singsonged. "Okay, that's all I'm gonna give you. I think we're. good. I love you Kami, never forget that." Carly kissed her forehead as Liam opened the door. "Hi, Carly. How's our girl?" Liam asked. "You know Carly, "Would you tell a rose to bloom faster?" Carly answered as Carly walked back to the waiting room.
Liam pulled up and chair and sat next to Kami. Liam then grabbed the lipstick frim Kami's purse and put it on her. "I'm no expect, but I think we have another beauty emergency." Liam observed. "Kami, I'm putting lipstick on you, so you might wanna wake up and see this." But Kami still stayed asleep. "Did I ever tell you why I stopped speaking Spanish?" Liam asked. "One day, you sent me to school in a puffy yellow dress with a big red bow in my hair, saying it was, and I quote. The newest trend" Liam answered "I looked like Ms. Pac-Man. And so, a lunch, I "accidentally" flushed that now down the toilet. Took two flushes to get that down. Ironically, that was the same day I met Jason." Liam continued. "When I got home, you were so mad. And you started going off on me in Spanish, and I-I just didn't hear you." Liam reminisced.
"I mean, I heard you. I just didn't want to hear you. So, instead of answering back in Spanish I just looked at you like a confused puppy. And you started yelling at my familiar Wolfie. Saying, "Your stupid owner can't speak Spanish anymore! He's lost his Mexican side of life." Liam imitated Kami, chuckling softly. "So I had an out. I pretend I can't speak Spanish, you ain't so great at English. It was perfect. Except, I screwed myself because I lost my Spanish. I lost my connection to you. And then last year, when you came back, I was so worried about seeing you again. But, you surprised me with your acceptance and your love and support." Liam sniffles. "You even helped me be a better boyfriend to Elinor. I know men love you, but you chose Carly, why? Don't get me wrong, Carly is perfect for you, I just never knew why you picked Carly out of all the other fish in the sea, what was so special about Carly?" Liam asked as he chuckled softly.
"You'd probably say, "What did you see in Elinor? That's the same thing I see in Carly." Liam inmated Kami. "Well, if I have to answer that, I'd honestly say, Elinor is the best thing in my entire life. I've never felt happier when I'm around her. She's my light, she's everything to me. I think if Elinor was ever like this is think I might go insane! So, I kinda know how Carly feels." Liam chuckled as he kissed Kami's forehead. "Please wake up soon." Suddenly, Kami's father came in. "I wish to speak to Kami." He paused and looked at Liam. "Alone." He continued as Liam walked towards him. "You have some nerve coming here." Liam growled. "Move, you scum." He scolded as Liam walked out in a huff.
"Well, you must love this. All these people coming in here, telling you how much I mean, Maya basically made you a stage. You are the star of your coma, Kami. But let me tell you something, viejita, I'm not part of this. You're not getting a tearful bedside speech from me because I'm still mad about our fight a couple nights ago. I know you like to have the last word, but this is dramatic, even for you. You can't have a stroke to win an argument, Kami. It's not fair. I mean, yeah, I said some unkind things." The Father paced back and forth. "But you were being so you. Then when you told me I was making a mistake breaking up with your mother, I remembered another time you told me I was making a mistake. It's when I enlisted in the army." He sighed. "We have had a lot of arguments, but that one is definitely in the top three. Right after, "Don't get divorced," and, "Brown lipstick is for hoochies." He reminiscenced.
"Here is the most patriotic woman I know. A woman who, every Fourth of July, makes us sing the national anthem while eating red, white, and blue flan. Then, on my first day of basic training, your uncle drove me to the airport alone, while you stayed home, pouting." He sighed. "You didn't even say goodbye to me. I never brought it up because whatever, man, life goes on. But I was leaving for boot camp, I was 18 and I was scared and you weren't there for me. You know what pissed me off even more?" He asked "Knowing your story about how, when you left Cuba, how your mom held your hand the whole car ride to the airport. Kissed your forehead, and sang "Cielito Lindo" so you wouldn't feel afraid. How you felt so loved. Thank God that your uncle was there for me, because you weren't." His said while his voxie was breaking.
"I didn't know if what I was doing was right or not, joining the army, but guess what? It turned out to be very right. Because I met Victoria and I had those great kids. And because I served, I get to go to school and live my dream. So look at that. Not a mistake after all. Kind of the best decision I ever made in my freaking life." He smirked. "And I did it without your blessing. So I guess I didn't need your support then, and maybe I don't need it now" He sighed as he hugged Kami. "Why didn't I accept you when you told me about you and Carly!? Why couldn't I see before that Carly is perfect for you!? I guess it was because I felt like I was losing my little girl. That I knew you weren't gonna be my little spirit anymore. I knew that I was gonna have to let go one day. But why did it have to be so soon?" He cried as he held Kami in her arms.
"I know I acted like a jerk a couple days ago, but that was because I was so stubborn and pent up on anger that I let it out on you and Carly. I now know you and Carly have something special that most people search their whole lives for. That's true love. You and Carly have that kind d of love that can face any type of challenges in the world. I thought I had that love with your mother, but she left because of me. I don't want you to make that same mistake I did, Kami. I want you and Carly to be together for tons of years." Suddenly, He felt arms rap around him. He looked up to see Kami smiling. "Kami!" He rejoiced as he hugged her harder.
Carly then rushed in and moved Kami's father and tackled onto Kami. "Kami! You're awake!" Carly smiled. "Greetings and salutations to you to, Carly." Kami smiled also. "You know you don't need to do that greetings and salutations crap with me Kami." Carly reminded her. "I'm so used to doing it." Kami then looked at her father. "I believe there is something you wanna tell Carly father." Carly stood up, as to did Kami's father. "Well, lay it on me. You're gonna tell at me some more? Tell me I shouldn't be with Ka-" But before she could finish he hugged Carly. "Thank you." He thanked, Carly was so shocked she didn't know what to do. "Th-thank yo-you?" Carly asked. "Thank you for being there for Kami when I wasn't. For being there for her when I disapproved of you two. Well, I do now. You're perfect for Kami, she just seems so much happier with you than when she's was with boys. You and Kami have true love. You keep that Carly. Be lucky that Kami chose you, she's a great girl Carly. Really what I'm trying to say is that you have my blessing to be with my daughter, I know you'll always be there for her when she needs you." He explained as Carly hugged back.
"Thank you, Yusuke Suzuki." Carly thanked. "Carly, you're family now. There's no need for such formality." Yusuke chuckled as Carly let go. Suddenly a transparent dove spirit, with a neon aura, a white feathers with gray swirl patterns, it had a little collar with a tiny piece of parchment tied into it, swooped into Kami's lap. Kami undid as it showed the Chinese characters 宽恕的精神. "What dose it translate to?" Carly asked. "Spirit of Forgiveness." Kami translated as she looked back at the bird. "You have found the 1rst of the 3 spirits need to find the Spirit Infinity Orb. Your mission doesn't end here. The next spirit, The Spirit of Empathy will be found where the moon betrayed the sun but the anger isn't done." The bird spoke as it turned into a mist and went into the clear spherical glass bottle making the white mist swirl slowly inside the bottle.
Kami placed the cork on the top of the bottle sealing the bottle. "What dose it mean when it said "the place where the moon betrayed the sun but the anger isn't done?" Carly asked as Kami shrugged as she opened the door to the hospital room. "The locater is blinking again." Ella observed. "You guys better get going." Yusuke suggested as Kami went to go get changed. Once Kami returned everyone was ready to go as they walked to the front of the compound.
"Carly, Kami." Yusuke got their attention. "That these." He passed Kami the white half of the Ying-Yang and Carly the back half. "The Ying-Yang symbol represent complementary. Just like how you complete Carly, Kami. And how Carly completes you. The shadows can't exist without light. And also vice versa. Jsut like how Carly can't exist without you, Kami. Keep them with care, as they will always remind you of your travels together." They both but on the necklaces as hugged Yusuke one last time before walking back to the group. Carly and Kami looked at each other knowing they were both thinking the same thing.
"Ying and Yang. Light and Dark. Night and Day. Me and You."
