Chapter 8: Jack's Memories

Jack

I kept looking at my staff, broken just like I was. I couldn't fly, I couldn't use my powers, and I wasn't a guardian anymore. I put one of my hands through my hair, "What am I going to do?" I ask myself. I just sat there until I feel something move in my hood, I reach my hand back and feel something with feathers in my hood. I pull my hand back and open my palm to see Baby Tooth. "What are you doing here?" I ask as I start to pet her head. She starts to shake and sneeze which makes me laugh a little. "I'm guessing Tooth put you in my hood to watch me." Baby Tooth nods her small head as she cuddles close in my palm. I lay my head on the wall, I do a small laugh but it still hits me that Elsa is on Pitch's side now, and I have nothing to help her. "I don't know what to do, I lost everything." I whisper to Baby Tooth but mostly to myself.

I just keep my head on the cold wall, just trying to think until I feel Baby Tooth leave my hand. "Where are you going? You'll freeze out there." I say as I look at her to see she's pulling my tin over to me. She taps it with her beak and then looks back up at me. I raise an eyebrow as I pick it up and look on the side to see my face but with brown hair and brown eyes. I look back at Baby Tooth who nods her head. I sigh, "Okay, I guess I have nothing else to do." I say as I open the tin and feel my eyes widen.

"Jack! Come on! The Royals and Nobles will be going down the street soon!" I hear Emma yell as I open my eyes and sit up. I move my hand through my shaggy brown hair, "Emma, why do you always have to wake me up?" I ask as I look over at her to see she's wearing a light blue dress with a brown patch on the middle, hiding a hole that she made while we were playing last year. My family, we're not Royals or Nobles, we're just normal common people, we were commanders, but we like it. I lay down again but not for long because Emma jumps on me quickly and starts to shake my shoulders. "You promised, you promised!" She yells as she shakes me again. I open my eyes, and grab her and start to tickle her. "Stop it Jack!" She laughs and wiggles around.

"Not tell you say sorry for waking me up!" I say with a smile on my face, my greatest joy in life is making Emma laugh, just to hear her laugh makes me smile. "I'm sorry!" she yells and I stop. "Good, now go, I'll be ready in five minutes and I'll take you into town so you can see the Royals and Nobles walk by." She jumps up and down and gives me nod before she runs out the door. I do a small laugh as I get out of bed and put on a light brown wrap and my brown pants. "Jackson, your sister is waiting." I hear as I look at myself in the mirror making sure I look okay, I'm not trying to impress the Royals or Nobles but, you never know who you might meet.

"I'm coming!" I yell as I open my door and walk into the kitchen to see my mother cooking and Emma already wearing her wrap. I gave my mom a quick kiss on the cheek before Emma grabs my arm and starts to pull me, "Come on Jack! We're going to be late!" She yells and as I start to walk to the door with her, "Okay Emma I'm coming." I say as we reach the door, "Have fun and be carefully." I hear my mother yell. "We will." I yell as I pick up Emma and put her on my shoulder and we start to walk to the town square so Emma can see the Royals and Nobles.

We lived in such a small town so it's not a long walk but I knew Emma wanted good seats, she always loved to see the Royals and Nobles, she liked the girl's dresses, and how they can ride on pure white horses unlike us who has to ride a horse, brown horse with a black tail and mane. But she never complains, she understand why we have a different horse then the Royals and Nobles, but she likes to dream that one day, she'll be a Noble or Royal, and I can't help but hope that dream will come true. "Do you think the Vile family will be here? I think the daughter is so beautiful." Emma asks as we reach the town square.

I put her down so she can watch and wait for the Royals and the Nobles to walk by, this happens at less once a month, it's the time where the family will either be leaving our small town to go visit other families or to just passing through. The Vile family is from this town, they are our Nobles for this town, I've never meet them but from what I see, the father Donovan Vile doesn't smile, and doesn't like anyone who isn't a Noble or Royal. He had dark raven black hair and dark eyes, almost like black eyes. But his daughter, Elsa Vile, she was one of the nicest noblewoman I've ever heard of, I've never meet her either but I heard she likes to sneak out from her home and walk around the town, but I feel like it's just a rumor, I don't think her father would ever let her out of his sight.

Before I could answer Emma, I see her waving at some of her friends. "Jack! Can I go see my friends? Pleae I promise I'll be right in your view." She says giving me her puppy dog face. I roll my eyes but nod, "Just stay where I can see you and come right back here after the walk is over." I say. She gives me a big smile as she gives me a big hug and runs over to them. I smile to myself as I watch her talk to her friends, I'm happy she has people she can talk to that are her again. I start to look around, seeing snow start to fall around us, which just meant soon the lake by our house would freeze over and Emma and I could go skating soon, she'd like that.

Not long, I hear a horn saying that the Royals and Nobles were coming. I hear everyone start to laugh and cheer as I stood there and watch as one family ride by riding their white horses, waving at the commanders. I didn't really care to see them, but like I said, Emma did and that's all that matters. I keep watching until I see a black horse walking up, and I knew it was the Vile family, the only family that rode black horses. First I saw the Nobleman Donovan looking at the commanders like we were just trash that needed to be thrown away. But behind him, was Elsa, her long black hair hanging loosely around her shoulders, she was waving at everyone, saying hello, showing everyone passion. She need turned to me and I saw her beautiful blue eyes and I couldn't help but keep looking at her.

I see her smile go small as she looks at me, it was sweet and innocent, and I want that smile to stay on her face. "What the hell!? Get out of my way you little brat!" I hear a deep voice yell which makes me break away from Elsa's glaze to see Emma was in the middle of the road, the horse about to step on her. I quickly run to the middle of the road and push her behind me for the horse to kick me in the arm then her. I hiss in pain as I look up to see Donovan glaring at me. "Stupid boy! Control your sister or next time, it'll be worse than a horse stepping on her." Donovan yells. I darker my glare as he rode past us.

I turn to Emma, but keep my hand on my arm, seeing if that'll help with the pain. "Emma, what were you doing in the middle of the road? You could hand gotten hurt." I say trying not to raise my voice even though I was upset with her but she was already shaking. "Sorry Jack, but I was just trying to save this." She says as she opens her hand and I see a small baby humming bird in her hand. "Well, you're a little hero now aren't you?" I hear behind me as I turn to see Elsa standing in front of us. I quickly bow as Emma stays where she is but tiles her head down. "Oh please don't, my father isn't around, and I don't like people doing that." Elsa says as she gets down to Emma's level and takes her hands.

I join them, shocked that Elsa Vile is with us. "You know, a humming bird is the meaning of life, it means you will have light in your life." Elsa says as she looks at me and gives me that smile again. I feel my throat start to close, this can't be happening. "I'm sorry that my father yelled at you, his not a very understand man." She says as she turns back to Emma. Elsa helps her up and takes the humming bird, "Shall we go find her nest? It can't be far." Elsa say as she starts to walk. "What about your horse?" I ask making Elsa stop.

She turns, "Don't worry about him, one of the guards will take him home." Elsa says as she nods her head up as I look to see her horse being walked with a man who is wearing her family crest. "Shouldn't he stay with you?" Emma asks she just shakes her head, "I don't need a guard with me when I'm in town, now come on, we need to find this little guys nest." Elsa says and starts to walk again. I look at Emma who is looking at me, "This is crazy." I say. She shrugs and catches up with Elsa, I sigh but follow, what did I get myself into?

"Oh! There I see the nest!" Elsa says as she runs to a tree, I look to see a small nest with two other humming birds in there chirping. She stops and turns to us, "Quick, let me get on your shoulders." Elsa says looking at me. I feel my eyes widen, "What?" I ask. "Oh come on, I'm not that heavy, just give me lift." She says as she walks over to me, grabs my wrist and pulls me over to the tree. "I wasn't saying... I just don't think a noblewoman should climb into a tree." I say which just makes her give me a face that said she was hurt, she didn't like me saying that. "It's just a title, now help me up." She hisses making me listen.

I get on my knees as she climbs on my shoulders and I lift her up. "There you go sweetie, back home." She says as she puts the bird in the nest and I lower her down. As she gets off my shoulders, she slips and I grab her wrist pulling her close to me, our face touching. I see her cheeks get red as she pushes me back, "Thank you." She says. I start to rub my neck, "Anytime..." I say as she keeps looking at me, biting her lower lip. It was hard not to keep looking at her until I hear Emma clear her throat, "Jack, we need to go home."

"Oh... yeah, umm, would you like me to walk you home Miss. Vile?" I ask but Elsa just shakes her head, "No, I can get home just fine Jackson, thank you." She says as she peaks me on the cheek, "But I would like to see you and ..." "Emma... Emma and Jack Overland." I say which makes her smile, "Then I would like to see you and Emma again if you are alright with you." She says. I couldn't answer; a noblewoman wants to be friends with two commanders. "Yes! We would love that, right Jackson?" Emma asks and all I could do was nod. "Good, then I will see you both again soon." Elsa says as she starts to walk off again.

Elsa and I have only gotten closer since that day we meet her, and my feelings for her have grown. She is the most loving person I've ever meet, her heart was so big. Today was the day I was going to tell her, I loved her. I knew it was a big risk with how different we were but... I had to tell her. And I knew her father would be upset, he didn't even know she was seeing me, but I didn't care, if I have a chance to be with her that's all that matters. "Jackson!" I hear as I turn to see Elsa running to me, she was wearing a light blue dress and a wrap around her to keep the snow off of her. "Elsa." I say in a whisper as she runs to me and jump in my arms.

I hold her close and close my eyes; I loved having her close to me. But the moment didn't last long enough as she pulls back, "Where's Emma?" She asks confused. "Oh, she's hanging out with some friends, so it's just us." I say as I hold up a picnic basket. "You made lunch?" She asks as she raises an eyebrow. I nod, "I thought we could eat by the almost frozen lake." I say which makes her laugh as she wrap she arm around my arm and nudges her head on my shoulder, "Lead the way." I feel my face get warm as we start to walk in silent. I didn't know how this was going to turn out.

As we reach the lake, I put a blanket down for Elsa to sit and take out some fruit and berries. We start to eat, still in silence; I don't know why she's not talking to me. I just want to know what she's thinking, I was getting more nervous as she sits her napkin down and folds her hands in her lap, she was a true lady. "So Jack, what's the real reason we're here? Alone?" She asks and gives me a smile I can't say no to. "I... I wanted to tell you something." I say. She nods, "And what is that?" She asks. I take a deep breath, I can do this, I can tell her, I love her. "I... I... Elsa... You... You're so..." None of the words wanted to come out, this wasn't the way I wanted to tell her.

Elsa sat there for a while before she sighs and stands, "You know what Jackson, I can't keep waiting for you to take my heart, you should have taken it the day I meet you." She says and starts to walk off. "Wait... Wait Elsa!" I yell as I stand and run after her. I grab her arm and turn her around so she is facing me. "I... I do want you heart, I want it all to myself." I say. She gives me a dark look, "Then say what you need to say to have my heart Jack, say the three words that will make me yours." She says. I take a deep breath as I move some hair out of her face so I can see her beautiful blue eyes, "I love you." I whisper.

She keeps looking at me till she smiles, "Well?" I raise an eyebrow, "Well what?" I see her roll her eyes as she pins me to a tree, "Stupid boy." She says as she puts her lips to mine and I feel my whole body stiff up under her touch. I close my eyes as I flip her so her back is the tree and she was under my control. I move my hands in her hair as we kiss deeper and with more passion. As much as I didn't want to stop kissing her, we did. I keep my hand on her cheek, "Does this mean you love me too?" I say out of breath. She giggles as she kisses me again, "Of course I do. I loved you the moment I saw you." She says as she keeps kissing me, my life complete.

"Come on Jack, Emma wants to go skating, the lake if finally frozen over." I hear Elsa yell as I grab my skates. I laugh as I kiss my mother on the cheek, "Be careful." She says as I open the door. "We will." I say as I close it and grab Emma's hand and Elsa wraps her arm around my free arm. It's been a few weeks since Elsa and I started to be in a relationship, her father found out and didn't like us together but Elsa didn't care, she just wanted to be with me, she was even of thinking of running way and giving away her title so she could be with me. And today, after we were done skating, I was going to ask her to marry me, I didn't care how young we were, I loved her and wanted her to be in my life, forever.

We reach the lake as we start to put on our skates and start to have fun and mess around. I held Elsa closes as she kisses me, "This is fun, we should do this more." She whispers. "I agree, Emma loves it here." I say as she lets go of my hand and skates over to Emma and skates with her. I watched as the two girls I loved skated together and how much I wanted to keep this day going that was until I heard a crack.

I stop skating as I see Elsa and Emma stop and the ice under them starting to crack. Elsa looks up at me, "Jack..." She says her voice cracking. I start to take off my skates, "its okay, both of you, it'll be fine; I'm going to get you out of there." I say. I look next to me to see a staff with a hook. I slowly reach down and grab it, "We're going to play a game." I say as I look at them both, I know they were scared just like I was. "Jack... I'm scared I don't want to play a game." Emma says tears going down her face. "It's okay Emma, would I tease you?" "Yes you always tease me!" She says more tears falling. I do a laugh trying to calm her down, "Not this time, you need to trust me, grab on to Elsa's waist and hold on, I'm going to count to three and you'll be off the ice, I promise. You ready?" I ask. I watch as Emma grabs onto Elsa's waist and I start to count. "One." Elsa moves a little close to me. "Two." The ice starts to crack more. "Three." I say as I grab Elsa's waist with the staff and pull her and Emma and then throw them off the ice and I took their spot. Elsa looks at me and I could tell, she knew what was going to happen. "Elsa, I love you." I say as I feel the ice break under me and I fall in, the last thing I hear were Elsa and Emma both screaming my name.

Elsa

I watched over the city, all the lights were out, and I could feel young lovers around me, it made me sick. Love was so useless, and it made me angering knowing I was use to one of them. I start to think about Jack, how I use to love him. I would watch him some nights, just flying around the world spearing winter and having fun. I use to love watching him, and wish I could tell him how I felt and I thought he loved me back but... It was all a lie. He never loved me, he just loves the idea of me, or he love me for my beauty, my heart broke the day Pitch found me.

"Elsa? What are you looking at?" I hear behind me knowing it was Pitch. "I'm looking at the city, can you feel that? All the children's hopes and dreams, the love, makes my skin crawl." I say as I cross my arms. I feel Pitch walk up closer to me, "So what do you want to do about it Elsa?" He asks. I put a smile on my face as I take out my arrow, "Make it as dark as I can." I say as I open my wings and fly into the sky.

Hey guys! I finally updated!!! What do you think of Jack and Elsa's past? Sorry this chapter kind of sucks, I'm super tired. Also, Happy Valentine's day guys!!! I hope it was an awesome day! I went and saw Deadpool and loved every minute of it! But I really don't think anyone under the age of 18 should see it because it's super gory and has a lots of cussing. But it was awesome! Anyways, I don't have much to say but I this, if you haven't see my status earlier today, I want everyone to check out my wonderful friend's book Star Wars Oneshots, Preferences, and Imagines by w_badger11 please.

So I know I told you to read this story before but the reason I am telling you to read it again is because 1 it's awesome and two, her last acc got hacked! And this hacker wrecked her awesome story, and almost wrecked a lot of her friendships on here. So I'm trying to help her get her readers back and help her get back to her 5K she had before. So If you're a Star Wars nerd like me you should give her ideas so she can write some awesome oneshots, I need to message her later and tell her my idea for a story. So please be kind and help her out. And just be kind to everyone on here, we don't need any bullies.

Oh and also check out Minecraft diaries with my OC Heather, blind witch of the iced heart by . Okay I don't know anything about Minecraft so I most likely will be confuse and have to ask my awesome sister about 100 questions but still I know there are mindcraft lovers out there so check it out!
