Chapter 2: New Guardian

Jack

I kept jumping from roof top to roof top making frost wherever I go. I see people sliding trying to keep their balance as they step on ice. I laugh at myself as I grab and pole and see frost go down it. I take a deep breath and feel the cold air hit my face. "Another job well done." I say as I feel the wind circle me. "Wind, take me home!" I yell as I jump in the air and feel the wind push me. It's been almost 300 years since the Man in the Moon told me who I was. But that's all he told me, nothing else. 300 years of being invisible. I feel my feet land in the small town I first woke up in, everything has changed in the last 300 years, and people have changed.

I watch as kids were playing before school. I put a smile on my face, "Mm... I think it's time for a snow day." I say as I hold onto my staff tight. I push up on my feet and was about to jump off the pole I was on when I feel something fly over me. I look up to see someone I haven't seen for a long time, Elsa. She stops right when she sees me, her wings shining bright as they hold her up. She crosses her arms, "Jack Frost." She says and tiles her head. I have forgotten how beautiful she was. Her long snow white hair is in a half curl pony and her white dress is red almost as red as her lips. It was hard to fall for her, her beauty alone makes you fall for her, but there was more to her then just her beauty.

"Cupid, is it Valentine's Day already?" I ask and cross one leg over the other and lend on the pole, giving her a smirk. She nods, "It is, and I have a lot of work to do." She flies over to me, our faces inches away, "Now are you going to be a good boy and not make it snow so these kids can go to school?" She asks and puts an arrow under my chin. I put a smile on my face, "I do love it when you talk to me like this." I say and she glares, "You made it snow last time, you're not going to make it snow again." She says both of us locking eyes. Finally I put my hands up, "I'll be good." I say. I know she's trying to figure out if she believes me or not when finally she puts down her arrow, "Thank you." She says and finally smiles at me.

"You have a way with me Cupid." I say as she flies back. "I have a way with everyone Frost." She says and gives me a small wink. I could feel my heart beat out of my chest just being around her, just her talking to me. "I hope to see you again Frost, maybe let's not make it another 300 years, deal?" She hear say. I nod, "Deal, we'll just make it 100." I smirk. I see her rolls her eyes but giggles as she flies off. I let out my breath after knowing she was gone. I wrap my arm around the pole and just watched her. It was hard not too as she worked. I stop watching her to see couples giving flowers to their girls, or cards or candy. Did I have someone in my past who I loved like that? I thought as I look back at Elsa.

She was aiming her bow when she looked over at me. I feel my cheeks start to get warm as she gives me a smile, a smile I've never seen before. It was like she was looking at someone she... loved. But maybe I just mistaken it, or I saw it wrong. I shook the thought away and jump off the pole and start to run as fast as I could away from her, I couldn't be close to her anymore.

When I woke up, she was there; she was the one who found me. She even took me to her home to meet the Father of Christmas, North. They wanted me to be a Guardian, to help them but... How could I help if no one could see me? Or if no one did believe in me... I couldn't handle it; I need to be free, to have fun. So I left and I never went back. I would see them every once in a while, mostly Sandy. I saw him every night, making kids dreams happy and full of life. What did I do? I make the world freeze... I look up at the sky, "Why did you bring me here?" I ask the Man in the Moon, but of course, I didn't get an answer. I sigh as I see something dark run next to me. What the heck was that?

"Wait!" I yell and start chasing it. I don't know what it was but I didn't like it being so close to where the kids are... Or where Elsa is. I keep following the dark figure until I reach a dead end where the figure stopped; it's back turned to me. I put my staff up, "What are you doing here?" I ask. I hear the figure sigh as it turned around and I lower my staff and raised an eyebrow, "Kangaroo? What are you doing here?" I ask and see Bunny lower his eyes to a glare, "I'm not a kangaroo, I'm a rabbit." I hear Bunny say before I feel something over my head and it was dark. "What... Hey!" I yell as I feel my body gets thrown, what is going on!?

I feel my body hit something hard. "Bunny I told you to get him not kidnap him!" I hear, I know that voice. "Do you think you hurt him?" I hear another voice, I know that voice too! No... Did... "Kangaroo! Did you bring me to the North Pole!?" I yell finally feeling the bag get off my head. I look around to see Bunny, Tooth, Sandy and North looking at me. "Hello Jack! Welcome back to the North Pole!" I hear North yell as he puts his giant hand on my shoulder. I look at him and then at Bunny, "What am I doing here? I told you guys, I didn't want to be a Guardian, and I ment it." I say as I push North off of me. "I told you, he doesn't want to be around us." Bunny says as he pulls out his boomerang. Bunny and I have never gotten along, not since the snow storm of 1970, man that was fun.

"Jack." I hear a voice that was sweet like sugar, I look to see Tooth looking at me and her little fairies were circling me giving me dreaming looks. "Girls, control yourselves." Tooth says as she zooms over to me and puts her fingers in my mouth, "I didn't get to do this the last time we meet, man look at your teeth! I see you flossed!" She says as I grab her wrist and pull her off, "I feel like you need to buy me dinner before you put your fingers in my mouth." I say and see Tooth blushes and Bunny jumps up to me, "Listen mate..." He starts to say before Tooth clears her throat, "Bunny calm yourself." She says and touches his shoulder, I see him relax under her touch.

I wanted to know what this was about but Sandy walked in front of me and looked at me. "Hey Sandy. It's nice to see you too." I say as he puts a moon above his head. I feel my eyes widen, "Wait..." I turn to North, "You talked to the Man in the Moon?" I ask. North nods, "Yes, we need you Jack. Manny wants you to be a Guardian." I look at him and then give a short laugh as I put my staff down and it hit an elf who frost over. "I told you..." "Jack we know what you said but... This is important, Pitch is back." I hear Tooth say as I look at her, she looked worried. "I don't know who that is." I say as North grabs my shoulder again, "We got rid of him a long time ago, around the same time I found Elsa." He says and I could tell on his face, he didn't mean to say that last part.

He clears his throat, "But he is dangerous, Pitch Black is the boogeyman." He says. I look at him and then around the room which just made me laugh, "The boogeyman? His not real, his just a nightmare story." I say and everyone started to get nervous around what I said. "Frost, you saying that Pitch Black isn't real is like saying we're not real." Bunny says and put his arm around Tooth who is shaking. "With light, there is always darkness, and there is always something hiding in the shadows, and that's Pitch." North says.

"Well... What does he want then?" I ask. "What he always wants, to make nightmares, to be... seen." Tooth says. That last part got me... Seen. "Wait... His not seen either?" I say to see her nod. "Jack, we send him back under the bed in the dark ages, people stopped fearing him, so people stopped seeing him. But now... He wants to be seen again." "Well what did you do to make him go back under the bed, do that again." I say but Sandy shook his head as he starts to show me images of what they did.

Pitch wasn't that strong back then, but he was strong enough to make the Guardian's fight and there was someone else with him... A girl. "Wait... Who's the girl?" I ask which makes North stiff up. "She's not important... She's gone." North says and lowers his head. "What do you mean..." But I could tell by how North was, he wasn't going to tell me. I sigh and move my fingers through my hair, "Okay fine. Well... then... I guess I have no choice." I say which makes North look back at me and everyone gave me a confused look. "You're going to help?" Tooth says and gives me a happy smile as she flies in the sky again.

Before I could answer I hear a noise, like flapping wings. I turn behind me and held my staff to see Elsa flying to us. She landed hard and looked like she was out of breath, something was wrong. "Elsa...?" I hear North as he runs over to Elsa as she falls to her knees, on hand on the ground open but the other hand was closed like she was holding something. "What's wrong?" He asks as he wraps his arm around her. She looked up at North panting, and then looks over at Tooth, "Tooth... Something is..." Tooth walk over to her, "What's wrong?" She asks and I see a tear going down her face as she opens her hand and inside was a little fairy, "Something is attacking your home... And stealing the fairies..."

Hey guys!!! New update! Whoo! Sorry it's like not the best but I'm working on it. But I'm having a lot of fun writing this story! I really hope you guys like it too. Sorry I have no new stories to have you guys read but I'll read some tonight. Any Panic! At the Disco? I got their new album and it's amazing!!! I love this band so much. One of the reason I wrote this new chapter so I could listen to it haha. Anyways, I will try and update again soon. Leave some votes or comments guys! Love you guys!!
