I was like a leaf, 
free falling
Tossed about by the wind
Sometimes, bashed left and right with every wave
An alien to the life I was meant to live. 
I stood injured, bleeding from past wounds
Unable to move beyond the Divide.
A drop of blood punctuating each step I took 
Each staggering step met with an obstacle—
lies, hurts, disappointments, failures.
My Past and Present at war with my Future. 
Tired of the fight, I stood still but the war waged on
Weighed down, oppressed and depressed, my knees hit the ground.
With a whisper swallowed by the wind, 
"Help me".

As my eyes flickered, 
I heard a whinying sound. 
With the last of my strength, 
I looked up
And saw The King riding on the His white horse, 
A sword in His hand
And fire in His eyes. 
With each flick of His sword, 
The lies, hurts, disappointments and failures fell at His feet. 
Advancing towards me, with His gaze of unashamed love on me, only me. 
As if in a slo-mo sequence, 
He ran, I ran
The angels encamped around flapping their wings in glorious delight,
The heavens filled with joyous celebration,
As He flung His arms wide to catch me
His embrace soothing to my bleeding wounds. 
He spoke and I was made new
Washed with pure water.
My future bright and shinning, 
engulfed my past and realigned my present. 
Sighing, I was finally where I belonged— 
Saved and Safe.

I don't know if anyone else can relate but, sometimes when I watch a movie,  I tend to see the scenes as how Jesus is to me. For example, when I watched Miracle in Cell No. 7, I saw the exchange Jesus made for me in the scene where that old man took Memet's place and died in his stead.

And it was no different with this poem. I had just seen a clip of an episode of The King: Eternal Monarch, a K-drama (yes, I am a proud k-drama fan😅❤) where the female lead was rescued by the male lead. If you have seen it, you'll be able to relate.

As I watched the scene, all I could see was the truth of how Jesus rescued me and made me new. No matter where you are coming from, what you have done, what you not done, God's calling to you. He wants you! It's not based on your adequacies or inadequacies. He just wants you, only you. Remember, He loved you way before you knew there was a God.
