Chapter 23 | MIDARE ( Disturbance)

On their way there, not one of them spoke. At first, they tried to talk, endeavour to get rid of the awkward mood that suddenly came out but unfortunately, their conversation didn't last for quite long. It just turns out to be worse than before. So they choose to stay quiet rather than create a more awkward atmosphere than they should.

But it's strange though that they both feel uneasy as if their every movement were being watched behind those bushes and trees at the park. They convinced pretty convinced that the only two of them were there as all of the other members had gone home (that is just Riku's thought), possibly lying on the bed, playing their phones or they have fallen asleep already. All the employees and staff are the same too.

The two try to assure themselves that it may be birds or small animals that reside there. However, they still cannot shake off the feeling of discomfort.

"You have told your parents you were coming home a little late, didn't you? I don't want them to worry," Riku asked with both hands behind his back. He tried his best to slow down with Urara's pace and, he has long legs so it's no wonder if he walks too fast.

"Yeah, I did but I kinda have a bit of a problem with my little brother, Tanaka. He's a little protective of me and, he seems to likely be panic almost everything about me. To be honest, I'm sure he's panicking right now," She said as she grinning at the thought of her brother pacing around the house like a mad man.

Riku laughed a little. "It sounds like you have a nice little brother."

"Maybe?" She shrugged her shoulder, unsure of what the man next to her was saying. Tanaka has a low level of patience, likes to act before thinking, more to do things based on his feeling than his mind but overall, Urara do think that he was a good boy so maybe, it might be true...

"Nanase-san, do you have a brother? Because I'm pretty sure you look exactly like Trigger's centre. Kujo Tenn if I'm not mistaken. You two are about the same with the hairstyle.."

"Uh, yeah! He's my brother. We were more to twins actually, but he was born first, making him the elder one," he said as he smiled sheepishly.

"Is that so?" Urara noticed that the man was not comfortable with the topic of his brother so she chose not to talk about it again and opened up another topic, hoping that she could ease his feelings. But as soon as she opened her mouth, no sound came out of her because she didn't know what to say. But luck was on her side as they both reached the water fountain.

"Let's sit on that bench," she asked, tugging Riku's hand.

Just a touch of her hand alone was enough to make the redhead turn red, almost matching his own hair colour.  He quickly twisted his head, absolutely didn't want the girl to see him in that condition. It would be a shame if she did. He'll look like a delicate person with just a touch and that only makes him look weak. He doesn't want that.

They began to take a seat next to each other, not too close and not too far but it was enough to make Urara feel the warmth emitted by the man's body.  Looking at the man, she almost laughed with the uneasy look on his face. "You can take time to calm yourself down if you want. I'll wait for you," she said softly. Riku looked at her and the bright smile on her face. He started to feel a little bit calm just by looking at it.

Taking a deep breath, he looked straight into her blue eyes. He cleared his throat, saying, "I am ready."

Urara nodded. "Then, tell me."

"I actually... want to invite you out for dinner with me tomorrow. I mean, if you're available," he said in a clear, audible tone, though the uneasiness could be heard too.

Urara hadn't even opened her mouth yet and six of the people they knew very well were tumbling from their hiding places behind the bushes in front of them. She almost ran out of frights that she totally never expected but thankfully, she didn't. She glared at her friends with a look full of questions.

Crossing both her arms, she asked, "What are you doing here? I thought you were all back in your dorm."

If looks could kill, the six men may have died today under the sharp glare that Urara thrashed at them. They all kneel on the ground with their heads bowed in shame at the act of prying over their friends. They know it's improper but they can't let the girl they like being alone with their rival. Unwanted things can happen if they just ignore it. What if she was touched by coercion?

Okay, that may sound be a bit too much but there's a chance for it to occur, and they will be there to stop it.

Tamaki lifted his head trying to speak but as he did so, Urara glanced at him with a sharp gaze causing him to withdraw his intent and remain silent in his seat.

Riku could feel that their friend was being too rigid, too afraid to do anything. He's actually pretty mad at them. How dare they intervene his time with the girl. If possible, he just wants to let his friends be just like that but his heart glum seeing them in that way, so he forgives them.

"Yamaguchi-chan, I don't think they have any harm in spying on the two of us. They may concern about your own safety so I really hope you can forgive them," Riku said with a reassuring smile.

"Huh.." She stared at him for a long time, kind of hard to believe in his words. As if reading her mind, he added, "You can trust me."

She looks at her other friends. None of them wanted to make any eye-contact with her. She may be a bit harsh with them. After all, they had just met and she didn't want to ruin this newly formed friendship. Heck, she and the green-haired guy are getting better at each other, but the bickering between them is still going on. Can't rewrite it. It seemed to be a habit of both of them.

Sighing heavily, she massaged the bridge of her nose. "Alright! I forgive all of you. Seriously, you could have just come to us from the beginning. Is it a must for you guys to spying on us?"

Tamaki sweatdropped. "Well, isn't being a spy fun?"

"That's a bit childish, Tamaki-kun," Urara said as she shook her head.

"Woah! Since when did you call him by his first name? Why didn't I know this?"  Mitsuki abruptly stood up, stunned by the name the girl used. He sure is getting furious than he should.

'What's up with those two! What's up with the closeness?! It's irritating me!'

"The night we had thrown dinner together? We both went out, remember? Since then, we've been kinda close"

New points, guys!

It's a shock to others. They don't know anything about it at all. Who would have thought that the boy in the light blue-haired had made his first play, long before they had declared their mission? So now, they are already one step behind. Not the news they were expecting really. If they let this thing slide away just like that, they may fall behind and who knows, they may not get the chance to ask the girl out for a date.

Yes, I say a date.

The dinner that Riku asked her wasn't a typical, simple dinner. It was a date! But God knows how Riku hate it so much when the six mischievous demons have interrupted his precise plan, and now he has no answer for it.

"Yamaguchi-san, can I know if you would like to go to the mall soon to buy some kitchen stuff? If so, I'd be willing to accompany and assist you." Sogo starts to take his first step, throwing them off guard. (Is my words of choice correct?) Realizing that they were about to be left behind, they each asked the girl questions.

""If I were you, I'd rather sit at home watching television than go out with them."

"You're just lazy, Nikaido-san. Ehem!" Iori cleared his throat. "Well, you can come to our cake shop and we can... you know, maybe spend some time together," he said, blushing hard.

Tamaki shook his head, his eyebrows furrowed. "Ne~ Urarin! Let's go to the park and have some fun, eating King Pudding."

"Oh, no! This lady is going to be with me. Let's go to the bookstore and buy manga, shall we? Then, we can watch as Magical Kokona together."

"No, no! She'll spend her time with me. We will watch all of Zero's performance videos."

"Wait! That doesn't make any sense at all and it's boring. I'm sure she'll reject your idea," exclaimed Riku, disagreeing with Mitsuki's idea. That is one of his personality. He will often say things without thinking, and those things can be very VERY rude or otherwise insensitive.

While they were busy arguing with each other as if they had a whole day to contend with, someone was perplexed because of repeated questions that were coming out of the mouths of her friends. She began to feel dizzy and it resulted in her to have headaches that eventually her body couldn't handle it and led her to pass out.
