"There are only five more to open," Paige tells me, yawning. Her eyes are red and bloodshot with greyish bags under her slightly drooping eyes. She looks exhausted. All of them do really. I wish I had some food to give them, they haven't eaten in so long.

"What time is it?" I inquire.

"It's been an hour since they got back," she answers the question I had really been wanting to ask.

"Thank you." I give her a small smile and help with one of the last five eliminated not yet released.

Nate and Anna had gone to the other building where we first saw the scientists and the infinity serum. Anna managed to figure out everything in it, and had gotten to work recreating it. When they got back, she told me that it would be a while before it was done and we could go back for it. She could only make enough for one person at a time, so when it's done there will be enough for two. Then she'll need to start the long process again.

"Hey there," I smile at the Chosen I just released.

"What happened?" He looks around at everyone.

"Paige!" I wave her over, feeling guilty to ask more of her. "Here, she'll explain, okay?"

"Oh oh okay..."

I wouldn't have given her another job, except someone had appeared in the doorway. Every thirty minutes someone comes in to let me know we're still safe. This time, it's Nate.

"Aria, we need to get everyone out of here. Things are getting worse by the minutes. There's less fighting, more hiding now... but I think they're making their way back to the lab building."

"For the serum?" I ask.

"For everything. While Anna was getting it ready, I looked over what they have. The formula for the abilities is there, and for safely replacing memories. We have to get rid of everything."

"Okay, but Nate?" I lower my voice.

"Yeah?" He leans closer, evidently because of my change in tone.

"The security cameras we saw? They weren't all for here."

"What do you mean?" He tucks a piece of hair that fell from my ponytail behind my ear and looks into my eyes with a concerned expression.

"I uh." I feel flustered from the way he's staring, and turn my head away while blushing. "There isn't enough room here for them all. We searched the entirety of the building, there should be twenty more chosen. Including Carrie. There just isn't enough room in here."

"Where do you think they are?" He asks. "The lab?"

"I don't know, but I want to come with you and look."

"Okay," He says. "We have to be quick."

"Like you have a problem with doing that." I raise my eyebrows.

He lets out a short laugh and rolls his eyes. "Come on then sweetheart."

"Sweetheart eh?" I smirk. "Really?"

"W-well you're my girlfriend now?" He blushes.

"Am I?" I tease. "I don't remember agreeing to any commitment..."

"Ariaaa!"

"Let's go." I pass him, walking towards the door.

"So will you be my girlfriend?" He calls after me.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

"Wow," My voice echos because of the high ceilings as I walk through the lab. There are desks covered in formulas, and interesting scientific instruments everywhere. The only one I know how to work is the microscope. "So, how did Anna figure out how to recreate it?"

"She..." He pauses to think. "I don't know. She played with some stuff and then said she figured out what they used in it. We hadn't had enough time to look for their formula."

"So what're we going to do now?" I ask. "Take every paper we can find and run before they come back?"

Nate shrugs. "The serum Anna was making, it's not ready..."

"So what do we do? Leave it here?"

"You go look for the other chosen, okay? Let's see how much time we can buy before they come."

I nod and run off down the stairs and begin to search through the building. The stairs make a soft echoing sound underneath my feet, leading me to believe that under the staircase is hollow. Sure enough, there is a doorway right at the bottom of the staircase. The doorway requires a code, and lucky for me, the only three numbers used in the four digit code have been worn away by the scientists fingertips. I hum to myself while trying different possibilities, and finally 7822 is the one to click the lock open.

Instantly upon opening the door I see Carrie, lying there peacefully unconscious. I find myself standing in the doorway for longer than I should, my breath caught in my throat. It's horrible to think it, and it's not her fault that she was eliminated, but I can't help but feel she just isn't my closest friend anymore, no matter how much I love her. She wasn't here with us through everything.

She's still wearing yellow, as if we were all still in the competition. The only competition now is who gets to be free, verses who won't make it out of these woods alive.

Earlier with Paige we figured out how to tell them what was happening before they woke up, which made it easier when there was a group, but if they were spread out it didn't. Now with them all together here, I can probably do it, though I haven't by myself yet. Paige helped the other times.

I set it up so that it should work, and then begin to talk. "Hey guys, I'm Aria Parker. A few of you probably already know who I am, but I have something to tell you, and then I'll wake you up, okay?" I begin to tell the the whole story, in even more detail than I told Paige. For Carries sake of course.

"Aria!" Nate runs down the stairs and turns into the room. "Carrie." He stops dead.

"Hi Nate." She smiles.

He gives her an awkward hug, and then turns back to me. "Jason says they're getting really close, we have to go."

My heart skips in my chest, "Okay."

"Aria, come on, we should check on the serum. Carrie, I'll show you guys the way out." Nate shows everyone the exit, and then we go back up the white stairs.

"So you got to see Carrie again," Nate says.

"Yeah, it's weird. For her nothing changed, for me like everything did. Anyway, did you figure how we're going to get rid of all these formulas?"

"Well... I'm going to blow up the building." He says awkwardly.

"What?" It comes out sharper than it should've, but what he said was surprising.

"It's the only way to make sure they don't get their hands on any of this, Aria!"

"Okay," I tug at the end of my pony tail "Go ahead"

"Yeah I already did." He looks to the side.

"Well," I let out a brittle laugh. "Well the building is very not blown up."

"Yeah, we have..." He checks the clock on the wall. "Ten minutes."

"Well then let's go, get the Infinity serum!"

"It's not done Aria, but... Anna said to take this." He hands me a very tiny glass filled with something blue. "In an hour you can put it in and it should work." He then grabs the infinity serum, and Anna's almost finished copy serum.

"Yeah, now run!"

We dash out the door and meet the group of Chosen. "Okay, we should probably walk a little farther away," I say. "Just in case."

"What're we going to do now?" Nate pulls me aside. "This explosion should distract them for a while, but will it be enough?"

"I don't know." I shake my head. "We'll figure it out."

"Should we get everyone and leave?" He asks, looking more like he's thinking out loud than actually asking my opinion. "Or should we try and detain them all somehow?"

"Nate, it's going to be fine!" I say. "Wait..." I look through the crowd. "Where's Carrie?"

"What?" Nate starts looking too. "There's nineteen of them, not twenty."

"I'm going to go get her!" I start to run back to the building.

"No, Aria, stop it! I've got it."

"Nate, we have four minutes left," I say. "I have time."

"No! It might take you a while to find her. I'm going. That's the end of it."

"Then you're taking this." I pull out the original infinity serum. The copy still isn't ready.

"No, uh uh, Aria you have to take it, what if they get here while I'm gone. Just let me go get her." He takes a few more steps towards the building.

"Stop!" I grab his arm. "Take it or I'm not letting you go."

"Okay fine." He holds out his hand. "Give it to me."

I hand it over, then turn my attention to the building. Three minutes. Suddenly I feel a sharp prick in my arm. Spinning around, I see that Nate has given me the serum.

"Nate!" I yell and my arm starts to sting.

"I love you," he says and kisses me quickly.

"I love you more." My voice cracks.

He takes a breath and looks nervously at the building. "If you say so."

Then he turns away from me and runs into the building. Putting my hands over my face, I begin to breathe heavily. "He's got plenty of time, plenty of time," I whisper, slowly walking back to the group. "And now I'm Infinite."

Realization hits me, and then I start to freak out. "No, no, no I can't be the only person to live forever. No I have to finish Anna's serum and give it to Nate when he comes back with Carrie."

"What?" Carrie's voice interrupts me with a laugh.

"Carrie! Oh my gosh where's Nate?"

"Nate?" She puts a hand on my shoulder. "Why would I know?"

"Because he went in there to look for you!"

"Aria I wasn't in there, I was looking around the other side of the building."

I feel sick to my stomach. Nate isn't going to stop looking for her, he'll search every corner of that building, spend time figuring out security codes to other rooms.

"What?" I say weakly.

"Nate's looking for me? Well I'm sure he's going to realize that I'm not there and come out after a few minutes. Why are you so pale? It's not like we're going to be waiting forever before we get back to our friends! Chill."

"This building is set to detonate!" I yell.

"That might be a problem then..."

I run back towards the building. Fear is supposed to cause adrenaline, right? Well instead of adrenaline, I'm hit with what feels like cement in my veins. My 'run' is slow and wobbly, and my vision blurs. Then, everything clears up. And the building explodes.

"NATE!" I scream.

In first place we have... fdraby with Leena's Infinite

I loved your writing style, and how in depth your characters were! And the ending was amazing (: Also, I thought it was really cool how you used excerpts of Infinite to show where you were in the story, it made it easier to follow, and it was interesting for me to see what was happening for Aria in someone else's POV.

In second place we have... writingourworld with The Escape

Jenna, it still amazes me how someone your age can be SO GOOD! Seriously, I will be taking lessons from you now, okay? I also really like how you used Carrie in the story!

And tied for third because Tenielle and I are majorly indecisive...  @JJ4Ever369 with My infinite fanfic and maddiecapri with Rae

Maddie, as always your writing is amazing! The spin you put on the Infinite universe was cool (:

Jordyn, we loved yours! The death scene was sad, and very well written.

Thank you everyone that entered!!!!! Should me and Tenielle host more writing contests with other themes? Let us know in the comments please (:
