One Week later...

My hands were shaking as Laura helped me with my tie. I decided to wear a suit to the hearing since I really wasn't a dress kind of person. 

"Calm down meine liebe. I'll be there. He won't be able to do anything."  

"I know it's just...I can't help but think of all the things he did to us. Like when he got us to attack you and almost-" Laura placed her lips on mine to get me to shut up

After a few seconds she slowly pulled away, "Don't think about that. Now is the time to give him the punishment he deserves." 

I nodded, but then there was sudden knock at the door. Laura opened enough so I could see the person.

"Supervisor?" Laura asked surprised

"Ja?"

"What are you doing here?"

"Did Y/N not tell you?" 

"No." Laura eyes narrowed as she looked back at me

"Well I will also be a part of the trial as a prosecutor. Me and the girls will also act as Y/N's bodyguards as the trial continues." 

"What? I can protect her!" Laura growled

"Well it was decided by the US, Germany, and Japan that Y/N has bodyguards while she is here."

Laura huffed before muttering something under her breath. She let Clarissa in along with two other girls,

"Are you ready Y/N?"

"Yeah." I nodded and stood up with the help of Laura and my crutches.

Clarissa and Laura helped me down to the unmarked black car that was waiting for us. I know it's suspicious with it being unmarked and everything but I didn't want to draw attention to myself or the girls. Although as we approached the court building photographers were already there. As the car stopped my nerves came back again. Laura intertwined her hand with mine, and gently rubbed her thumb over my knuckles trying to calm me down. Laura got out before me and as my door opened she helped me out. I was blinded by the flashing lights of the cameras, and Clarissa and her girls were doing their best trying to shield me from it. 

"Y/N! Y/N! How long until your full recovery!" One photographer shouted

"How is your and F/N's friendship? Has it changed?!" Another shouted 

"What about the rumors!? Are they true?!"

"Is it true that some of your girlfriends are having an affair with-"

The door shut behind me, cutting off the multiple questions from the reporters. I have to ignore them, I have to. 

"Alright the hearing should start here pretty soon. Laura you'll be able to sit beside Y/N in order to help her to the stand, and be used as a witness." 

Laura nodded and Clarissa opened the door to the court room. There was soft chatter in the room with people on both sides. The chatter seemed to die down as I passed the rows where Miles was waiting for us. 

"I'm glad to see that your are doing fine Y/N." He greeted me as Laura and I sat beside him 

"Same to you Miles." I smiled

F/N sat on the other side of him and silently waved at me. Clarissa sat on the other side of F/N waiting patiently. Suddenly the side door opened revealing the general and some guards. He had handcuffs on his hands and ankles along with a chain around his waist which connected with the handcuffs on his hands. The guards escorted him to his seat where his own lawyer was. The guards took a step back as the lawyer whispered something to him. I could feel my breath hitch as his cold eyes connected with mine. I quickly looked away when Laura grabbed my hand,

"Don't worry about him." 

I nodded and quickly placed a kiss on her cheek. The door next to the judge's seat opened,

"All rise for Judge Esdeath." (MY FUCKING WAIFU! I LOVE HER SO MUCH! *cough* excuse back to your reading)

A judge with long blue hair and blue eyes walked in. Everyone stood, and I tried to stand as quickly as I could. 

"Thank you Nighttra. You may all be seated." Esdeath stated and everyone sat down

"Here is the case Untied States, and Japan vs General Henry Goodwin." Nighttra stated and Esdeath nodded as she handed her a case file 

"We shall open up with the prosecution-Mr.Edgeworth." 

Mr. Edgeworth stood before placing his hand on the table,

"It is very clear that the General here has broken several laws. From kidnapping to-"

"OBJECTION!" The defense lawyer shouted

"Overruled." Esdeath stated glaring at the poor man 

"From kidnapping to attempted murder. I would like to call my first witness to the stand-F/N F/L/N." 

As F/N stood up she had to do the whole oath thing before her girlfriend helped her into the booth. 

"Now F/N is it true while you were in Japan the General kidnapped you in the middle of the night?"

"Yes sir."

"Can you explain to the court on what happened that night?" 

"Well I was asleep in me and Y/N's assigned dorm room. I was woken up when I felt someone watching me. That's when I saw Y/N glaring at me from my bed, which was weird since she had disappeared for a few days. I looked at her eyes, and I knew at least she wasn't in control. Her E/C eyes had a weird tint on them I couldn't put my finger on it, but it definitely wasn't her normal eye color. Then next thing I know she attacked me, and-" F/N paused

"And what Miss F/L/N?" Judge Esdeath asked

"S-She activated the chip that the General put in our brain." 

"Well that is all I need." Edgeworth stated

"Mr. Johnson?" Judge Esdeath looked over at the defense attorney

He simply shook his head no and she dismissed F/N from the stand. 

"For my second witness I have Y/N Y/L/N." Edgeworth motioned to me, and Laura helped me stand

I did the whole oath thing as well before Laura helped to the stand. 

"Now Y/N was is true that you were kidnapped before you attacked Miss F/L/N?" Mr. Johnson went first as he approached me

"Yes sir."

"So these kidnappers could easily been able to control you. This counters-"

"No sir." I interrupted him, "I'm sorry for interrupting you, but the only person that would be able to activate the chip that was once in my head is the General. He was the one that ordered those doctors to put it in us. In order to make sure we would never turn against him he made sure that he was the only one that could turn them on. The terrorist group had zero knowledge of this." 

Mr. Johnson looked at me with slightly wide eyes before continuing, 

"Do you have evidence of this?" He asks

"Yes I do." I stated and motioned over towards the U.S. lawyer who handed the folder over to Nighttra, who gave it to Judge Esdeath, "Those are the reports of the medical procedure done on my and F/N. It also has the conversation included in the audio tape and on paper." 

"One last question. Is it true that you and F/N were volunteers for the ISPP?"

"Yes we were."

"So you volunteered for this treatment." 

"No sir I did not. We were never able to join because the Government had shut down the program a few weeks later. I strictly remember U.S. soldiers breaking into my house and kidnapping me back to the base after it closed down." 

"That is all." Mr. Johnson stated before sitting down next to the General

"So these chips in your brain what did it do to you and F/N?" Edgeworth asked as he stood in front of me

"Made us mindless soldiers sir. Did whatever was ordered of us." 

"Did this also lead to the attempted kidnapping of Chloe and Laura Bodewig? And perhaps the attempted murder of Chifuyu Orimura?"

"It did sir. I remember the General giving us orders to try and kill Chifuyu Orimura, but we were stopped before we could. It was the same for Chloe and Laura Bodewig. He wanted us to kidnap them for this power that they possessed-mainly Chloe." 

"That is all I need." Edgeworth stated

Judge Esdeath dismissed me from the stand and Laura helped me back to my seat,

"I call Clarissa Harfouch to the stand." Edgeworth spoke again and Clarissa moved to the stand after the oath 

"You were there the night of the attempted kidnapping of Chloe and Laura Bodewig."

"Yes I was."

"Did anything seem...off about the girls?"

"Indeed. Just like F/N had described Y/N's different eye color it was now the same in both girls. They showed extreme hostility towards us and tried to kidnap Chloe first. When that didn't work they went after Laura, and shortly after we were able to take them down."

Edgeworth stood back as Johnson asked a question,

"Where is the physical evidence of these so called 'chips'."

"Right here." The Japan Government lawyer spoke handing two bags to Nighttra before giving them to Judge Esdeath, "We were able to hack into these chips and gain access to the audio. We have the recordings if you would like to hear them."

"Please play them for the court and the jury."

The man nodded before playing the audio. I tried to zone it out as my hands shook. I didn't want to remember these things. F/N seemed to have the same reaction as we both looked down at our shaking hands. Laura was quick to comfort me as she did this through the whole recordings. Eventually it was over,

"General Henry Goodwin. Do you have anything to say in your defense?" Judge Esdeath asked

"Yeah I got some things to say." The General spoke and he suddenly stood, "This whole trial is a joke. They are citizens of the U.S.! Not Japan! They were forced to stay in-"

"They were staying at the IS Academy General." Esdeath spoke with venom, "It states in the rules that while they are there they are citizens of Japan." 

"Tch. I can't believe this. This is a set up!" He growled as he turned to F/N and I, "Those two knew what they were doing!" He shouted and tried to jump for us, but the guards quickly restrained him. They began to drag him out of the room, "I'll get outta here! When I do I'm finding you two and I'm going to kill you both!" He shouted before the door slammed shut

I was shaking from fear, and the jury left to debate.

"Shh it's okay. It's not like he is going to get out. Even if he does the girls and I will protect you. He won't ever put his hands on you again." 

A few minutes later the guards wheeled the General in with a restraint chair. His eyes were full of anger as the jurors returned,

"How does the Jury find the defendant?" 

"Guilty your honor." A woman spoke up

"Very well then. The defendant is guilty of all charges." Judge Esdeath stated as the General glared at her ,"And I shall see to it that this case also goes to the military for you to be stripped of your titles. Case closed. Everyone is dismissed." Esdeath stated and stood before leaving the court room
