Chifuyu POV

As soon as Y/N dropped to the ground we all ran over to her. I checked for a pulse while Yamada checked for a pulse on F/N,

"I have one, but it's faint." I stated as Tabane pulled out her phone

"Don't worry I'm calling for an ambulance!"

I nodded as I picked Y/N up into my arms. A few minutes later faint ambulance sirens could be heard, but that wasn't what I was focusing on. Y/N's pulse started to get fainter and fainter as her face started to loose it's color. My eyes widened as I started to shake her,

"Y/N? Y/N!?"

"Ma'am please step back." A paramedic pried me off of Y/N as he prepped her for a stretcher

Meanwhile another crew had F/N in the ambulance,

"Anyone coming with us?" One of the paramedics asked

"We'll go with F/N." Russel spoke as her, Madoka, Autumn, and Tabane climbed into the ambulance

Yamada, Rin, Charlotte, and Houki went with Y/N. I had to drive Chloe, Laura, Clarissa, Kanzashi, and Tatenashi to the hospital. We rushed into the hospital a few minutes later than the girls riding with the paramedics. The others were waiting outside the emergency room as they waited anxiously for the results. I sat next to Chloe as she seemed deep in thought,

"It's my fault isn't it?" Chloe asked so softly that only I heard it

"No its not. You didn't know this would happen. You didn't know that the electrocution would keep going."

"But I started the electrocution! It is my fault!"

"Chloe don't blame yourself." Laura sat next to her as she placed a hand on her shoulder, "Y/N wouldn't want you to blame yourself. She wouldn't blame you in the first place."

Chloe wiped away a tear as Laura hugged her. After that the girls and I sat in silence for what seemed like hours until the doors finally opened.

"I happened to notice that these are IS academy students. Is Chifuyu Orimura here?" He asked and I quickly stood

"Yes I'm here."

"Well I need to discuss something with you...privately." He spoke quietly as his eyes scanned the other girls in the hall

"Alright fine." I growled as he took me into an unused patient room, "What is so important that you had to pull me away from the others doctor?"

"Well you see we took an MRI on both the patients and found something rather interesting. We found that both of them have some type of chip on the side of their brain. Like those from the expired US experiment, ISPP."

"ISPP? You mean the infinite stratos pilot program? The ones where the countries would find some type of chip in the pilots brain? Those types of chips?" I grew even more worried now as the doctor nodded, "I thought it had been disbanded."

"That's what I thought too. Anyway these chips found in both F/N and Y/N are more advanced versions. They drastically shortened their life span once they were activated."

"Is there anyway to get rid of them?"

"There is but it's very risky. The patients could die during the procedure, and even if they live through it they would have to go through intense neurotherapy at home and here. Although if you don't remove the chips Y/N will only have to live until 18, while F/N will pass away at 21. It's your decision ma'am."

I sat there thinking for a few minutes. The procedure could end up killing the both of them, but if they do live through it then they would get to live longer. I could tell the doctor was getting anxious as I finally looked back at him,

"Go through with procedure."

"As you wish." He scurried out of the room as I walked out after him

"What was all that about?" Tatenashi asked

"Well I might as well tell you now.."

After six hours the doctor finally had done both surgeries. He said that they were a success, and quickly placed both F/N and Y/N in the same ICU room. Most of the girls went to go get lunch so it was only me and Tatenashi, but she was asleep on the couch. Tatenashi had left on the TV, and I looked up once I heard the Prime Minister's voice,

"The missing IS academy pilots have finally been returned to Japan. We have worked closely with the US government to track down the person responsible. General Henry Goodwin has been arrested for not only kidnapping, but also continuing the ISPP in secret.."

I zoned out after that as I pulled up a chair next to Y/N's bed. I softly intertwined her hand with mine and I moved a strand of her H/C hair away from her face. I kissed her forehead as I looked back at the TV,

"You hear that Y/N? They've finally caught Henry, the man who did this to you." I whisper softly

I sat there enjoying the moment until a flash suddenly went off,

"Hehehe!" I heard Tatenashi as I turned to glare at her

"You better delete that right now." I growled as she stood

"Not a chance! I'm going to go share this with everyone!" She giggled as she ran past me

"Get back here!" I demanded as I chased after

Your POV

Darkness. That's all I see. I heard voices in the distance, but I couldn't reach out to them. To be honest I was scared. I couldn't move, I couldn't speak, I couldn't do anything! Suddenly I saw a bright light coming towards me, and I was finally brought out of the darkness. I tried to open my eyes and this time it worked. After my eyes adjusted I realized I was in the hospital. My heart dropped slightly as I saw that no one was in the room. I looked beside me to see F/N with a breathing mask on her face, and IVs connected to her arms. I looked down to see that I was in the same condition, and I tried to remove my breathing mask but they wouldn't move. I began to panic as my heart beat began to speed up causing the monitor beside me to go off in alarm. A nurse rushed in and relief kicked in once she saw that I was awake,

"Well welcome back Miss Y/N." She greeted me with a smile as she walked over to me

"What happened? Where is everyone?" I asked softly as I relaxed

"I'll explain your situation."
