"You are special to me Sanjana.  I can share my past with you. Finally, I started to smile after three years all because of you ", Sumit said meekly.

"If....if....you are comfortable then only share with me", Sanjana said while understanding the whole situation as Sunit was getting emotional by remembering his past.

"Yeah definitely.......we were a happy family. I had an elder brother Sahil and sister in law Mahima, my cute niece Annapurna, and my mom. We all used to stay satisfied. When I was ten years old, I lost my father but my brother ruled Mukherjee Group and Industries. He was the CEO of the company. Mahima sister in law used to take care of everyone but three years ago l lost both of my mains", tears rolled from Sumit's eyes. Sanjana felt gloomy hearing it.

" I still remember, it was Saturday. Anna was just a six month old baby girl. She was the apple of everyone's eye. We all thought to spend some quality time hence decided to have dinner outside. Sahil brother was driving in the car and Mahima sister in law was sitting beside him. I was sitting in the back, was holding Anna softly. It was quite late in the night. Lights were off on the road. Sahil brother was facing difficulties to drive the car. Suddenly he couldn't manage the car and the car got crashed into the tree. That night I lost my two important souls. I was just injured but l held Anna tightly towards my chest. My brother..... My brother and sister in law were fully drenched with blo...... blood. The sight was quite horrifying. I was unable to understand the entire situation. I tried calling people for help but the road was empty and the network was unavailable. I lost my brother and sister in law in the car accident", Sumit somehow completed his sorrowful past.

" From that miserable night, l stopped smiling but you came into my life like a hope ", Sumit said while Sanjana smiled coyly.

" You are a strong person Sumit. Anna is so lucky to have such an amazing uncle", Sanjana tried to calm down Sumit.

" From that night, l promised my self that l will give all the happiness to Anna. She will always be my first daughter ", Sumit said while staring at the stars.

" Let's go, it's already quite late", Sanjana started leaving but Sumit held her hand softly.

" Please stay longer, tomorrow is Sunday..... it's a holiday", Sumit said while Sanjana nodded.

" Want to share your past with my Sanjana? ", Sumit asked after some time.

" Yeah....the thing is.....l lost my parents when l was maybe two years old. My childhood l stayed in the orphanage then l shifted to some rented place", Sanjana said abjectly.

" So remember your parent's memories?"

" Not that much Sumit but l usually cherish it", Sanjana said while rubbing her hands which Sumit observed it.

" Feeling cold? ", Sumit asked.

" Yes little bit but l am okay"

" Wait ", saying this Sumit removed his jacket and gave it to Sanjana.

" Take it "

" ah.... it is okay Sumit"

" No it's not, take the jacket ", Sumit insisted hence Sanjana took it redundantly. 

" thanks ", Sanjana replied cutely.

" mention not"

" Well what is your answer about the marriage? ", Again Sumit asked in the straight forward manner.

" I have decided my response. I adore Anna, l can't take Mahima ma'am's place but l will give her all kind of happiness. I want to marry you. I want to upgrade my position from the care taker to Anna's second mom", Sanjana replied while looking directly in Sumit's eyes while a smile crept on Sumit's face.

" I am glad that you accepted for the marriage. Mom will look in to the matter. I am sure after hearing your answer, she will be happiest", Sumit said while Sanjana nodded.

Sanjana leaned towards Sumit's shoulder. She kept her head on Sumit's chest. They both were staring at stars.

There was a pin drop of silence between them. They were enjoying each other's company. It is well said once you become mature, you realise silence is more powerful than proving a point.

Sometimes we just have to stay silent because no words can explain what is going on in our heart and mind.

Sanjana and Sumit took the road not taken by the virtue of chance and out of ever growing friendship. A plethora of thoughts were running in their as in how their life has turned out to be and eventually it took expect the unexpected turn. Both of them were unaware of the fact where this would lead to them.

Their hearts and minds were on a race and they couldn't take their eyes from each other. Both of them were physically present with each other but were into each other's presence. Words would fall short to describe but this moment shall be etched in their hearts forever.
