Breaking and Exiting

-x- Third Person POV -x-

Toga stood behind a tree, peeking her head out from behind the trunk. "Alright...," she mumbled. "I need to get those notebooks. But...," she sighed, "There's tons of pros around."

Suddenly, though, she caught something in the corner of her eye. She watched as a few students snuck out the back of the building, and a smirk spread across her lips.

Taking in a deep breath, she hid her presence before rushing towards the building, barely slipping through the door before it shut. Once inside, she let out a sigh, when she heard hushed tones from the other room.

Curious, Toga turned her ears towards the source, listening in with her find-tuned senses.

"Everyone's hit their mark so far," Kirishima grinned, "Great job, Yaoyoruzu!"

Yaoyorozu blushed. "O-oh. It wasn't much. Bakugo was really-"

Jiro sighed. "You've got to stop selling yourself short." She tossed the girl a smile. "Your idea was great."

Toga furrowed her brows. What's going on here...?

"I'm sure they escaped by now," Ojiro mentioned.

"Yeah. Hopefully they'll come back with Midoriya," Kirishima said before shaking his head. "No! I know they will!"

The class grinned. "Yeah!"

So they're looking for Izu... Whatever. It's not like this wasn't expected. Now I just have to-

She stepped forwards, the wood creaking from underneath her. Freezing in place, Toga watched as heads snapped towards her, and she barely was able to dive behind the wall.

"You guys hear that?" Kirishima asked, suspicious.

Toga blew out a stream of air, heart pumping rapidly as someone walked over to her. Squeezing her eyes shut, she sucked in a deep breath, eyes drifting towards the side.

Sero stood right next to her, glancing around. "I don't see anyone...," he mumbled. Leave. Leave. Leave.

It seemed like forever, but Sero soon turned around, shrugging. "No one's here!"

As he walked away, she let out her breath before hiding herself once again, rushing upstairs. That was close.

Toga didn't allow herself to breathe properly until she reached Izuku's room, ensuring that no students, teachers, or cameras spotted her. She cracked the door open, carefully closing it behind her before glancing around.

Great, she sighed, noticing the slight mess. Looks like the place was already gone through. Hopefully they're still there, though...

Quietly moving to Izuku's bed, she lifted his covers, peeking underneath. Her eyes darted around, a curse slipping from her lips as she saw nothing. She narrowed her eyes, straightening herself. They found it.

"Are you sure you heard something up here, Shoji?" Kirishima asked.

"Mhm," the boy replied simply.

Toga groaned. Not again.

Glancing around, she noticed that Izuku's window had been open. And, just as she heard the doorknob turn, she leapt from the building, catching herself on the small ledge outside.

"There's nothing in here...," Kirishima sighed.

Shoji glanced around suspiciously while Toga rolled her eyes. When will these kids give up?

"I guess...," Shoji mumbled, hesitating before turning around.

"It's cool, man," Kirishima said as they walked out, "Maybe you just heard something because you're nervous. I know..."

Their voices drowned out as they went further down the hallway and, once she ensured nobody was around, Toga jumped, using the momentum to run down the side of the building.

"W-Woah!" she shouted, falling on the ground in a crouching position. "Man," she let out a giggle, "That's pretty hard when you're not in your own body."

Straightening herself, she dusted herself off. "Though," she pouted, "This means that I have to go to the police station or whatever. She sighed, walking with her hands behind her neck. "I just wanna see Izu agaiiiin," she whined. "And maybe," she raised her head, licking her lips "...a bit of blood..."

---

Shigaraki scratched the base of his neck, huffing.

"What went wrong?" Dabi asked bluntly.

Shigaraki narrowed his eyes as he further scarred his flesh. "Toga called...," he rasped, "Apparently, the heroes are coming for the brat."

Dabi leaned against the wall, arms crossed. "Didn't you expect that?"

"Not so soon," Shigaraki said, his voice scratchy and annoyed. "Luckily, though," he allowed his hand to fall to his side, blood underneath his nails, "It's just another group of brats coming for him." Shigaraki grinned. "Maybe we can destroy U.A.'s reputation and kill a few kids while we're at it. Besides, all this does is just push the plan faster than expected. We'll be leaving this dump soon anyways."

Dabi sighed. "I should've expected as much. Also," he added, opening his eyes previously closed eyes, "I need to head out. I've got some business to take care of."

Shigaraki waved his hand. "Whatever. Just don't be gone for too long, or I'll kill you," he threatened offhandedly.

"Mhm," Dabi said, heading out. "See ya."

"What was the whole point of this, anyways?" Magne asked, raising a brow.

Shigaraki didn't bother to face her. "To ruin their image. Crush those sheep's hope."

"What does that mean?" Spinner questioned.

"The whole point is to shake them up, in the end. A heroics student turning to the villains is sure to grab news coverage. Even if they find out that it's fake, it'll still stir up trouble. The public consciousness will be uneasy. Which means," he grinned wickedly, "It'll be the perfect time to strike."

"So," Mr. Compress smiled, "It's a sort of stage show?"

"Whatever you want to call it, couldn't this end up badly?" Magne asked. "What if the heroes are just as sharp as ever?"

Shigaraki smirked. "Believe me, people are already panicking. The heroes will be busy trying to diffuse the situation, which means it'll be our opportunity to cause them more trouble."

Spinner raised his head. "So when are we doing this?"

"Oh, we'll wait," Shigaraki laughed to himself. "We needed people to figure out that the brat never really turned. After pulling something like we have, people will surely be suspicious - their trust shattered. They won't even be able to believe their 'perfect' heroes." Shigaraki let out mad laughter, his voice scratchy. "It'll be chaos."

Izuku had a sinking feeling in his stomach, a deafening silence encompassing the room around him. Though, as he hung his head, he heard as the metal hinges swung open.

He raised his head slightly, feeling numb.

"Hello!" a cheerful voice said, momentarily confusing Izuku. "Ugh, why did I have to come in this nasty place? It stinks!!" the voice said, deeper than before but clearly belonging to the same person.

Izuku's mind was hazy as it pounded. His eyes trailed a figure as it came closer.

"Don't ask why I'm here - I won't tell you!" the man yelled. "Dabi was busy, so it's my job to feed you now!"

Izuku suddenly felt a sense of primal fear and dread wash over him.

Twice spun the keys around his fingers, whistling as he walked towards Izuku. He pointed at the boy. "Now starve!" he shouted before holding food towards the boy. "Eat!"

Izuku greedily ate up the food, uncaring for any consequences. He felt nothing but hunger. Though, as he ate, his eyes flickered between Twice and the plate.

After gulping down the water he was offered, Izuku lunged forwards, teeth bared. He viciously bit down on Twice's finger, causing him to drop the keys. "OW, OW, OW!" he helped, shaking his hand. "Why'd you do that?!"

Izuku growled, spitting a mixture of blood and spit on the ground. Twice backed up, laughing nervously. "Hey, kid, you look a little upset there..."

The boy heard the keys clatter to the ground, his mind screaming at him to take them. Unable to think of anything else, he slid his foot over the keys while Twice was distracted, continuing to glare at the man.

"Okay, okay, calm down!" he reasoned, coming closer. However, each time he attempted to step forwards, Izuku growled at him. "You're like a rabid dog!" he yelped. "Cool! Scary!"

Izuku kept his eyes narrowed at him, taking a quick glance down as the key slid closer. Almost... There...

However, Twice soon bent down in front of Izuku, picking up his foot and then the key. Izuku glanced up at him, surprised.

"You know," Twice stepped backwards, twirling the keys on his finger, "Just because I'm crazy doesn't mean I'm stupid." For once, he looked serious, startling Izuku. He spun around cheerfully, walking towards the door. "Bye!!" he called back before turning slightly. "And it's not my fault if you die."

Izuku was stunned as the door slammed behind Twice, wincing at the dreadful sound.
