Among the Adults (Page 5)

As Cynthia still pondered about Music Mans actions, Nicholas began to cry softly as he had realized what was happening. His father was dead because of Music Man. Cynthia quickly snapped out of her thoughts and hugged Nicholas in comfort. "Th-Thanks Cynthia...," Nicholas whimpered, "I don't know wha- I mean- I- My parents, they..." He then, out of nowhere, began to smile. His dad never payed any attention to him whenever he had the chance. Should he be happy that his own flesh and blood was slain in a bloody truck accident? Or should he be sad that the father who took care of him is gone forever?

Nicholas began to cry and smile. "He's gone....Hehe, He's gone forever Cynthie..." Said Nicholas, as he ran his hands through his hair. Cynthia frowned. Nicholas acted like this sometimes. He would feel one way about a something like this, and then consider the oppositions benefits. Cynthia shook him a little to try and snap him out of it. Nicholas soon hushed his thoughts and feelings to be wary of what was happening at the moment. Cynthia peered out of the vent window, down at the hall connecting the shops and restaurants. She leaned against the window, accidentally breaking it and sending her and Nicholas crashing down onto the hard, unforgiving floor.

None of the adults, of course, took notice of the two 15 year olds falling from the air vents. Cynthia slowly got up, her arms and torso aching, as did Nicholas, also feeling the same physical, but not emotional, pain as her. The kids looked around. Along with the shops and restaurants, this connecting hall also lead to the gambling region, an area that took up the majority of the casino, obviously. Cynthia looked up in disgust at the region of fake music, and distracted parents. It wasn't until Nicholas' phone began to buzz and he picked it up did Cynthia turn her attention away from the gambling area.

Nicholas picked up his phone. The screen flashed a bit before cutting to a live recording of Music Man in a sort of mechanical, engineering room that looked to control the power in the building. Nicholas sulked at Music Man, as the arachnid smiled into the camera. "So, you don't think I noticed you both running away? Think I didn't hear you kicking the vent?" Music Man grinned at them."Listen buddy, you have no idea who you're messing with. When I get my hands on you, you're going to be sor-" Nicholas was then interrupted by his laughter. "Hahahahahaha, don't you mean when I get my hands on you?" Music Man laughed some more. "You don't understand, do you...." Music Man paused, looked down at something, and then back at the screen. "Nicholas? And Cynthia? I can't have any loud, obnoxious children yapping about murder. Not if I get rid of your noise myself...and take you to see...my...performance..."

With saying that, Music Man held up a small metal disc with a strap around it. Nicholas gasped silently. It was an illusion disc. He had seen Fazbear Entertainment ship them places in his dads truck. Music Man slipped the illusion disc strap around one of his teeth and pressed it a few times. And, in a couple seconds, his figure melded into a completely different being. He turned human. He wore a pink and white stripped shirt with grey buttons on it that were meant to resemble his speakers, grey pants with grey straps with purple buttons, and standard black and grey show shoes. Unfortunately for Cynthia and Nicholas, what he wore was the employee uniform so that he would blend into the casino as a normal employee. His skin was grey, and his hair was pink and frizzy. He also had some of his normal traits as an animatronic carried on onto his human appearance, such as his pink nose, his purple cheeks, his white gloves, his pink eyebrows and lips, his black top hat, and a pair of black circular glasses that reassembled his eyes.

As soon as Music Man had changed, he turned his attention to the children again. "You have a choice, kids. Either come see my show, or I'll drag you away to see it." Music Man threatened before hanging up. "GO TO HELL!!" yelled Nicholas. He was pent up with frustration and sadness. He wanted to do a million and one things in vengeance of his dad. The boy toppled to the ground, and began to cry. Cynthia looked at him, and then his phone. She didn't understand. She was disheartened that she couldn't ask music man WHY he was doing this. Either way, she felt guilty for Nicholas. The other adults passed him by without a care for what he was feeling. She hugged him again, giving him an inkling of care among a sea of careless adults, that had no time to spare for an emotionally distraught boy.

Cynthia kept comforting him until she looked into the distance and froze. Nicholas looked at her weird, before looking in the direction she stared at and also freezing. Across the gambling region, they could see a grey skinned man wearing black glasses back staring at them, among the sea of lost adults.
