Cipher war pt 3

Amelia looked on towards the battleground. Her mother, Alaska, had told her not run into this one. She obviously wanted to help her mother and father since this was her home and the invaders were trying to take it over.

"Mom please," Amelia begged, looking at her mother once more. The older women had a frown on her face. Truth be told her daughter was like her father.

Bold and irrational when it came to fighting or defending their land, but in truth Alaska was needed to help her daughter to see that she couldn't. It was best for the Overheat King to fight this war.

"Amelia," Alaska started, Amelia groaned at the way her mother had said her name. It was the sound of a concern mother but that's not what Amelia wanted.

"Please mom, this is our home," She says staring into her mother eyes. "I won't abandon my friends or the people to some invader from another land," she continued.

Alaska groaned then did something she thought she would not do. Her fist had slammed against the table.
"Amelia Lillian Fuego!" She shouted, making her daughter jump up.

"I can not...." She says trailing off. She has to recuperate herself but couldn't.
"I can not loose you to a vile and evil man," Alaska breathed out. Steaming tears found there way to her eyes.

"I will not allow for you to die," she said, as Alaska got up and pulled her daughter into a tight embrace. "You are my daughter, mine alone to call, she says through her tears.

Amelia nods to her mothers response but peaks away from her.
"But if I don't help, then what will happen to you mom," she says, the effects of her mother tearing up was starting to make Amelia tear up. Alaska cupped her daughters cheeks.

"I will be back," she says smiling through her tears. "I'll be back, so will your father and everything will be back to normal," She quickly said. Amelia couldn't help but think that this was all a lie.

Something horrible was going to happened and she couldn't put it together, however at the same time she had to agree with her mother. Amelia then pulled away from her mother and wiped the tears off her eyes. Then sighed. "I'll do it mom," she says silently. Alaska mentally sighed a relief and embraced her once more. Amelia could feel her mother lips pressed against her forehead before she backed away and opened the window.

"Please, Amelia," Alaska spoke out, Amelia looked at her mother the brown hair swaying along with the wind.
"Be safe," she says, and with that Alaska formed a pair of water wings and flew off to the battlefield. Amelia watched as her mother body was just a speck in the distance as more explosions could be seen.

The world for the common Overheaters were flipped upside down as Brandon shielded some of the civilians with a broken piece of a building. He could hear orders being barked at by both his men and by Bills own. He looked down at the civilian he had just saved them back at the advancing demons.

"Can you stand?" Brandon asked, the civilian was in shock as more explosion rocked the very floor he was standing on. He looked at the civilian once more.
"Can you stand?!" He asked, the civilian managed to nod his head despite more and more explosion happening around them.

"Good, your going to make a run for it, I'll hold them off," Brandon looked back at the advancing army. They were practically right on top of them. Brandon quickly turned to the civilian.
"Run now!" He says, using the broken rubble Brandon tossed it towards the unsuspecting demons and goblins crushing them against the building.

The others that were not crushed crawled out and screeched at them. Brandon ignited his hands and proceeded to fire a volley of fireballs to keep them at bay while the civilian that he had rescued began to run. Somehow the goblins got around him and shot freeze arrows at him, making him cry out in pain.

He stuck his hand out into the Goblins general direction and let out several fireballs. Most hit but some scraped by the goblins as they hide behind the ruble. Brandon took this opportunity to make a run for it. His feet pound into the ashes of the building as the Goblins rose up and began their assault on him.

He turned back quickly and fired more fireballs, causing more explosion and possibly drawing more attention to himself. He looked around as he ran and spotted a broken down building laying on its side.

Using his speed and momentum he slide under the fallen building and rolled to its solid base as more arrows flew at him. His breath were shallow as he tried to catch them but was soon met by a stray goblin with his bow pointing towards his forehead.

"Die!" It screeched as it quickly drew its bow back, Brandon drew his hand up but saw it froze up. Its small arms fell to the side as it lets go of its bow and fell back. Brandon was stunned to see it fall but herd other Goblins screech then fall silent. He looked up and sighed a relief.

Hus wife Alaska stood there with her water swords in her hands. Her wings still showing off in the blocked sunlight and her brown hair swayed with the wind.

"Alaska," he says, hoping over the building and running to his wife. "Brandon?" She said, looking at him as he took her into a warm embrace. He peeled away from her but held her.
"What are you doing here?" He asked, with hints of concern in his voice. Alaska smiled, and held onto his arms, giving them a soft squeeze.

"I heard a certain King needed a Queens help," she joked, Brandon let out a chuckle then he frowned a bit.
"Amelia?" He asked, but was met by Alaska's lips. She pulled away and took a step back.

"Back in the mansion, safe." She said, Brandon was gonna ask her another question but was met by the sound of something crashing. Both turned to the sound as a bigger heavy set Overheater came down with a demon with wings.

"Begone you vile creature," he said as the man brought his large malet down onto its head. The man had the standard red and orange Overwatch Armor but had ten stars on his shoulder plate. He stood up and pulled his malet out of the demon then turned towards Brandon and Alaska.

"By Odessa Beard, Brandon, Alaska your alive!" The man shouted, he ran up to them and gave them a bone crushing hug. Brandon chuckled as he felt the wind leaving his lung.

"Edgar, its could to see you buddy," Brandon said struggling to get those words out. He looked to his wife Alaska who laughs a little. "Do you mind if you could crush us later," she asked Patton the man head.

Edgar snapped his head to them and nods. He placed them down gently as more flying demon appears. They screeched at them as they circled like eagles. Brandon light his flame up, while Alaska reinforced her wings. Their eyes set on Edgar who held his malet tight in his hand.

It made Brandon smile a bit. The three of them, back against one another to face off against impossible odds. The demons pounced on them. Alaska was the first to engage one as she grabbed it by its neck and flew with it while Brandon and Edgar fend of the other two. Both male coordinated as a team to keep them in range.

"We need a way out of this," Edgar said, he swung his malet at the demon causing it to screech at them while the second came rushing in. Brandon rolled to Edgar side and grabbed the diving demon and forced it to the ground. It had screeched at the two while trying to break free of Brandons grasp.

Edgar turned and raised his Malet only for the other demon to come swinging by and tug the malet away from its fallen comrade. "Damn these vile creatures," he says while pulling his malet down. The creature let go and just before Edgar could grab him.

While the two struggled to fight them Alaska was flinged onto a building. She had a water staff blocking her and the third demon. This one in paticular was resentless. She hit her staff on its chest and knocked it to the side. It hurld into a building, crumbling it in impact before flying back at her. Alaska darts to its side and flew away from it.

It followed after her in a hot pursuit over the fallen building. Alaska looked behind her, seeing it right on top of her. She tried using her staff but instead the creature grabbed her left water wing and tore it off, causing her to keel into the ground. She winced in pain as the demon land on the ground. She drew water staff and harshly hit it the demon with it.

It only made it angry as it went to trying to remove the staff from her hand. It bite into it and flung it out after trying so many times. Alaska however fromed a sheild and the demon screeched once it hit it. It banged its head making fissures and dents into it.

Alaska watched as her shield was nearly destroyed when the demon bashed its head on it for the last time, then fell over on its left. Alaska looked at it then looked up. She nearly choked on the air she took in. Their stood Amelia, her daughter with her bow in her hand.

=================================

The fight between the two Overheater and demon had continued. The demon Brandon held down had finally freed itself from its grasp while the other one flew away from Edgar. Both had tested the two male patience as they dove coordinatingly onto the two. Edgar and Brandon both took seen breaths and watched as the flying demons banked too their left ready to swoop in. However Brandon fired of a fireball and forced it lower than it had previously intended.

Edgar's eyes lit up when he saw this and swung at it. Knocking the thing out of the sky and into the building. He removed the malet to reveal that it had been impaled by the structure and remain there. Brandon smiled at him as he tiredly raised his thumb up, but they were soon brought back to reality when the last demon screeched at them.

Both Edgar and Brandon readied their selves for another battle. Just as the demon tylons flashed at them, it banked right and smashed into the ground dead. Brandon looked at it confused then noticed the few white arrows that dissolve in the air.

Both he and Edgar looked up to see Amelia standing next to Alaska. Brandon had a smile plastered on his face. Waves of emotions ran through him as he made his way to his daughter.
"Amelia," he says drawing her into an embrace. She welcomed it and held on to her father tight.
"Dad, I though," she tried to say but Brandon placed his finger on her lips.
"Its okay," he says still holding on to the smile.

"I'm okay," Amelia nods her head and Brandon let's her go then looks at Edgar.
"Edgar, radio the troops have them begin their advance," Brandon ordered. His thoughts still remained on taking back his city and beating Bill. Now he was content that all the civilians had been evacuated from Maria and moved deeper to District Athena.

"Brandon," Edgar chimed in. Brandon turned to face him as the first wave of their enemy marched up from the beach. Both Brandon and Edgar looked at each other.
"It will be bloody battle," Edgar said. Brandon nods his head however Amelia waved her hand.

"Dad, what if he stop whoever is in charge of the army, she says. Brandon chuckled and a bit.
"That's a work in progress Amelia," he says. He has to admit that his daughter was just like him with a hint of Alaska in terms of strength and wisdom.
"But Dad," Amelia had brought Brandon back to attention. He looked down at her once more.
"It might be a general that's leading them," she says. Brandon thought for a moment while Edgar moved to his side.
"Sir the soldiers are on their way." He says, Brandon nods his head to Edgar then looks at Amelia.
"Think Dad, the Leader hasn't shown himself but his general possible has," she says.

Brandon thought for a moment then looks back at the army marching up. Sure enough there were hundreds, possible thousands of them. His eyes scanned the entire army until he spots one particular soldier using a baton and had a general cap on his head. Brandon turned his face to Amelia.
"Alright Amelia," he says. Watching his daughter eyes flow at being right made him smile even more.
"Edgar," he called. Brandon saw his friend come out and looked at him.
"Yes sir," he said. Brandon point towards the direction to where the demon army general was commanding his army to go. Edgar smiled and cracked his knuckles.
"So that's who's leading the whole operation," he says. Brandon nods and smirks.

"I need a fire mortar in that general direction," he says. Edgar nods and smiles.
"Haha, you don't have to tell me twice," He says. Edgar pulls out his radio while Brandon turned towards his family.
"Alaska, Amelia I need you both to stay behind the line," he says. Amelia was in shock and was about protest but Brandon raised his hand to stop her.
"Both of you have done so much to help us bring an end to this invasion," he continued. He drew them into a warm embrace.
"Now as a king and as a father I will finish this off," he says while letting them go.
"Amelia, I am so proud of you," he says. Amelia but her lips as tears formed into her eyes.
"But we can fight by your side," she said. Alaska has to agree with her daughter the two had stopped the demons from advancing any further to the district.
"Brandon," she breathed out. Brandon looked at her. His eyes pleading with hers.
"Please, just wait for me," he says.

Alaska nods her head and pulls Amelia away from Brandon.
"No, no, what are you doing," she screamed. Brandon winced in pain as his daughter started to cry out to him. For now he had to ignore it and focus on stopping Bill. He then looked up as large fireballs were hurled into the sky. He followed them towards their intended marks, blowing holes and burning the unfortunate demons and Goblins that had been caught in it. Brandon then borrowed his eyes as a burning general from the army ran out in circle before he succumbed and fell.

He took a deep breath and looked behind him. His soldiers dressed in red and white armor had showed up. He watched as four that were in red and orange armor, like Edgar, showed up to him.
"My lord the army is ready at your command," One of them said. Brandon nods and looks over at the battlefield that they were to fight in. His thoughts go back to a more peaceful time. How he long for it to go back.
"Overheaters," he called out. He heard the clank of their armor as each and everyone of them held the hilts of their weapons.
"Attack!"
