"Go go go!" We sprinted through the mall with Brent shooting anything that got near us.

"I'm assuming the only way is to take out there brains! I don't know that yet, it's just a assumption!" We took a turn, and stopped at the directory to see if there was anywhere else we need to go.

"We should come back to the phone store once we have our stuff packed up. We need to keep in contact no matter what!" The phone store was right by the entrance, which made it a thousand times easier.

"Alright let's go!" Brent loaded his gun, then we started back down the hallways.

We got through the front entrance, then we ran to the nearest truck and started packing up the back. I tested the doors, and they were unlocked. The person must have ran in to check something, then he got infected.

I was looking around for the keys when I heard a growling noise. Before I had time to react, one of the infected tackled me out of the car and onto the ground.

"WINTER!" I grabbed the persons jaw with one hand and focused to keep that away from my body. It wasn't easy with him snapping and scratching at me. I reached into my lower pocket, grabbed my knife, and plunged it into the persons throat. Then there was a gun shot and the body went limp. I pushed the body off me then wiped the blood off my clothes. "Sorry. I wanted to deal with it-"

"Sh. What happened happened. Now stay here while I get some pre paid phones." I turned away and tried to leave, but Brent grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

"I barely know you, but I can' that've you die on me! I'm coming with you!"

"Then who is going to guard our stuff?!" I shot back. He doesn't understand that this is survival now, people will loot and try to kill us.

"You're hurt!"

"Aw boo hoo! I can handle myself! I ain't no three year old!"

"Fine! I don't even know you that well anyway!"

"Stop yelling they are going to hear us!"

"Fine. Just go and get the phones."

"Finally that's what I wanted to hear!" I turned and jogged off towards the direction of the mall.

"And you better come back!"
