Ok I thought this was longer XD anyways as the story progresses, the chapters will get longer. This was a fluke, sorry :(

"NOOOOO!" It tackled Erica to the ground and bit at her neck. She was thrashing violently, and I was to scared to do anything.

"HELP!" That seemed to snap me out of my trance. I grabbed a chair and smacked the used to be person of her body sending it flying into the wall. The person crumpled to the ground for a second, then it jerked back up and ran back at us. When it lunged at me, I dove to the ground and slashed its leg causing it to stumbled and fall to the ground.

"Erica smash the window!" I tossed her the chair and she threw it through the window. We kicked out the remaining pieces of glass and climbed through the window frame. "We need to go! The sound will attract more of the infected!" I motioned for her to come through the window.

I put the knife in between my teeth, then I started down the ladder with Erica behind me.

It was a short climb, so we didn't have to worry about a long fall, but still we shouldn't fall. It was surprisingly quite, way different from when I came earlier today.

When we hit the ground, we wasted no time at all, but we still stayed in the cover of the shadows. As we were going along, we could see random infected people wandering the streets.

"How will we know that the mall isn't full of the infected?" Erica sounded worried when she asked. To be honest I didn't think of that. If it was we were for sure screwed.

"I guess we will have to take a chance." That seemed to the trick, because the rest of the walk was in silence.
