23 - Missing
Tubbo wandered through the Spirit Wilds, more people were going missing by the day. His father had decided to cancel any big events except for the Spirit Festival, according to Master Jinora the good spiritual energy from the festival might give them a chance to ward off the negative energy corrupting the vines while Tommy was supposedly figuring out a permanent solution. Someone had to do something instead of standing idly by.
"Help!" a familiar voice called from within the forest. Tubbo started running towards the voice. As he continued deeper the vines started to turn red. He had to find where the people were being taken. This might be his only chance.
"Tubbo," Bad said, coming up behind him. The once red hoodie he wore had faded to white, red vines were entwined with his clothes and skin. "We're so glad you're here."
"Bad," Tubbo stepped back as the man came closer to him. He didn't look well, but he had looked fine the day before. "What happened to you?"
"I don't know what you're talking about," Bad said, his voice warm and welcoming. He smiled and put an arm around Tubbo. "I feel better than ever. Maybe you can too."
"I uh, I don't think I will," Tubbo tried to get away from Bad, but his grip tightened around his shoulder. The sickly man began leading Tubbo through the vines. "I'm supposed to meet someone later."
"But I'm your friend, we all are, aren't friends important to you?" Bad said, they entered the large clearing where the large cocoon of vines was. The opening behind them was soon covered up with thick vine, allowing no light through.
"Who's we?" Tubbo said, glancing around for an escape.
"Why, Ant, Skeppy and I," Bad said. Tubbo knew who Skeppy was, but he's only heard Ant's name be mentioned by Tommy. He'd seen enough to assume that this had to be the source of all the decay and infected Tubbo just had to escape and tell Master Jinora. Bad remained calm as Tubbo started to run, vines started to grab at him. The boy froze when he saw a familiar face being dragged by the vines.
"Sam!" Tubbo started towards him but tripped as vines wrapped around his legs. "What are you doing to him?"
"Sam didn't want to accept the egg like us, so you and him are about to spend a lot of time together with the egg," Bad said. Tubbo tried to grab at anything as the vines dragged him closer to what Bad was calling the egg. He was trapped against the surface, Tubbo tried to focus on controlling his breathing as vines wrapped around his entire body, starting to cover his face.
"Why did we need him? He wasn't going to be able to do anything," Skeppy's muffled voice said.
"Them leaving is exactly why we need him," Someone else said. This was a distorted male voice that echoed around the clearing, "He was their friend and is the only way to get either of them to do what we want."
"What's so important about the other one," Bad asked. "He's harmless."
"He's more important than anyone realizes," the voice trailed off as Tubbo faded from consciousness.

At Airbender Island Schlatt came up to Jack and Niki while they were playing pai-sho. Jack groaned as he lost once again. "You're the kids Tubbo's friends with, right? Have you seen him?"
"Not recently," Niki said. "Try asking Philza or Wilbur."
"Oh, you didn't hear," Jack said, "Apparently Phil and Ranboo left with Baba last night. Tubbo probably went with them."
"That would make sense," Niki said, but Jack's answer only caused Schlatt to start to worry.
"But he would have told me," Schlatt could have sworn Tubbo came home the night before. He left to go find Wilbur and check facts. He eventually found Wilbur and Charlie.
"Schlatt, how are you doing," Wilbur said.
"We'll see, have you guys seen Tubbo? He was supposed to stop by my office a while ago," Schlatt said.
"I think you're overreacting, Schlatt. He's seventeen of course he's going to run off and not come back for a while," Wilbur said.
"So he did go with Phil and that old friend of his," Schlatt said, "who apparently left last light."
"I definitely saw him this morning," Charlie said. "Phil, Tommy, Ranboo, and someone else went off somewhere in the middle of the night." He looked up as they gave him confused looks. "What?"
"How do you know all this," Wilbur said. "There is no way you are that observant."
"Yes way," Charlie said, grinning and pointing at himself. "I'm a goopy guy. There's nothing Charlie Slimecicle can't do."
Wilbur burst out laughing. "Of all the last names you could choose for yourself, you choose Slimecicle?"
"Don't hate on the slime, man," Charlie said.
Schlatt cleared his throat. "So if Tubbo never left with them, where's my son?"
Wilbur cursed. "I didn't think about that. He never told anyone where he was going so we all assumed he went with Philza."
"So we've got nothing." Schlatt cursed as he slammed his fist against the wall. He let out a defeated sigh then left them.
"I don't like the look of that," Wilbur said.
"Imagine how you would feel if you found out Fundy ran off without telling anyone," Charlie said. Wilbur stayed silent as he took in Charlie's words.
Tommy had left. Tubbo was missing. Bad and Puffy hadn't been seen in days. So much more was happening as the month reached its end and Spirit Day drew closer.
Ah yes, the start of the end. Or is it?
