Chapter 73: Consequences

(Y/n) blankly stared at the wall with an empty expression, as she unintentionally listened to the bickering and auditory shouts of disapproval coming from beyond her unhinged door.

"You're not staying with her!" Alex shouted at the azure male, standing firmly in front of the door to block off any entrance to accompany the female inside.

"I can't leave her alone when I know she'll try and do something." Bako sternly glared at his opposer while the rest of the group argued amongst themselves over entering the bedroom.

As untrusting comments and dubious perceptions flew around the group, it seemed like none of them were willing to allow the others to guard the girl. And as the arguing shouts and snark remarks escalated to near physical altercations, the girl sighed with a heavy grievance as she examined her curbing restraints with a hopeless gaze. 'Seems like my life keeps plunging further down...' She gave a last tug against the steel cuffs only for her body to slump over as they kept a firm hold on her.

"Will you all settle down! This is getting us nowhere. It's clear that there should be some guidelines." Kaito scoldingly referred to the arguing boys, only to be sent annoyed glares full of spite.

"Shut up. I don't give a f**k about any 'guidelines' you give. You did something to (Y/n). She was so willing to allow you to look after her and then I come back home to see this." Bako approached the accused intellectual and as his towering form stood before the male, Kaito seemed unfazed by the intimidating act, though remained wary enough to allow the boy to speak first, "What the hell did you do while we were gone? What the hell did you do to her?" Kaito noticed all the barking arguments had settled for that one moment of witnessing his explanation. The boy thought over his choices of wording as Bako impatiently waited for his response, flexing and contracting his firm muscles to ease the tension building up in each tendon.

"Are you insinuating that she tried to end herself completely because of me?" The artist glowered at the boy's obscure reply and prepared to speak out his disdain before the intellectual beat him to the speech. "And by that, I mean it quite literally. I'm not denying that I'm also guilty of giving her a push to her breakdown, but placing the full blame on me is idiotic, Bako." The azure male eyed the boy that stood confidently in front of him, and showed his distaste towards his analogy. "You honestly aren't in the position of pointing the fingers when you're no saint yourself." Bako glared at the boy as his accusations took a moment to rest, and backed away with seething annoyance.

The males glanced around one another, and as the atmosphere seemed to simmer down Jin took a moment to look around, able to spot the absence of a certain individual. "Where's Alex?" The group assessed the comment as they glanced around to notice the animal lover had disappeared, having a fairly educated guess as to where he could be.

"Just leave me alone..." The girl pressed her palms against her ears, refusing to acknowledge the male that was standing beside her, and wilfully avoided any eye contact with the boy while angry word exchanges were emoting from beyond the room. Alex attempted to reason with the shaken female, only for his passage of words to stop at her blocked ears.

"(Y/n), please...I don't want to see you so broken up..." He reached out to gingerly take one of her hands as an attempt to gently remove it so his speech would finally reach her, only for the girl to back and turn away as far as her restraints would allow. The boy sorrowfully gazed at the isolated girl as she mentally distanced herself from her surroundings. He began sensing a punctured dent within him as he watched the girl, seeming to be further detaching away from his presence.

The girl jolted with a jump as she felt the boy's head leaning against the back of her own, not daring to respond and acknowledge the action, hoping her ignorance would force him to leave her be. Alex took in the warmth of her scalp and felt his heavy heart lifting the weights of his guilt and shame, to allow a moment of serenity at the instant of her pleasant company. (Y/n) sucked in her breath and stiffened into a state of paralysis as he tenderly took her freed wrist to guide her arm to reach back and place it atop his head. Alex had yearned to feel the girl's delicate and affectionate touches and attempted to simulate the sensation of her hand patting him in an approving manner, to satisfy that lost feeling. (Y/n)'s fingers began shaking as she wanted to yank her arm away from the boy, but her courage failed her as fear froze each muscle in her body. The boy satisfied his urge for endearment and pushed her fingers through his hair as she unwillingly allowed him to control her motions like a puppet.

"I really miss this (Y/n)." He pressed his palm atop the girl's skin, refusing to allow her caresses to disappear. "I want to feel you more...I want to make you happy. I want to keep you away from all the cruelty that's after you..." The girl ignored each meaningful word and concentrated on the hopes of him leaving. Alex realised her detachment from him and pressed his forehead further into her head, trying to gain her attention with the hankering motion. "I want us to understand each other. I want us to go to the park. I want us to visit the sandpit. I want you to hold my hand. I want-"

Before the male could finish his pleas, the door swiftly opened to reveal the malice on the males' faces. "What are you doing?" Ren sternly focused his daggered glare towards the boy that was at a close proximity to the girl. Alex held a neutral expression that seemed devoid of any reaction towards their entrance, wanting nothing more than to continue his time with the girl. "Get away from her." However, the stone-faced male refused to separate himself from the female.

"Alex, that's enough. Come here." Kaito commanded the male, only to receive the same treatment, as he continued regarding only the stunted girl. Bako's brittle temper reached its limit and strode up to the boy to grip his shoulder in a tugging action.

"Don't play with us, man. Leave her alone." Alex shrugged off the boy's hand and concentrated on keeping the girl out of his grasp. "Get away from her." His speech came out through gritted teeth, only to receive the same reaction as before. "I said-!"

"Do you want to die?" The threat came out in a soft and curious tone, much in the way a child would inquire on an unknown subject. Bako stared at the boy with an aggravated glint in his eyes and inwardly growled when the male turned back to the female.

Alex's features saddened as he noticed the girl's horrified expression towards his comment, and shuffled away from him. Alex gave her a grieved gaze before solemnly deciding to move back so as to not bring any further disturbance. The boy received the glaring and hiring scowls from the rest of the group, but seemed to pay no attention to them as he focused on the shaken girl.

Kaito grunted out a sigh and searched through his mind for words that would neutralise the situation. He noticed the girl had slightly simmered down from their previous encounter and chose to regard her. "(Y/n), are you feeling alright?" However, her response was given in the form of a distasteful glare and kept her back away from the males as she marginalised and designated a section of the room only for her mind. The male gave a discourage exhale and prepared to leave the room before coming to an abrupt halt from the voice that answered him.

"How long...?" The boys looked over to the girl who had lost all her patience and stability towards her environment.

"Pardon me?" Kaito glanced at her direction with an expectancy for a reply.

"How long do you plan on keeping this foolish game up?" The intellectual raised his eyebrow as she attracted the individuals' full attentions. "Do you think this is supposed to change my mind in some way? That I'm supposed to hopelessly fall for one of you if you force yourselves on me? Am I some sort of little doll that you can push and pull around, to dance on your whim?" The girl's voice was serious and steady, completely contrasting from her earlier disheveled and uncoordinated state. She held a patronising tone in her vocals as she spoke to her visitors in an almost mocking manner. "If that's what you want, then you're not going to get it from me. Every time I acknowledge any of you, something out of hand happens. It's all you want...my attention and affection. Get over yourselves...all I've done since the moment I stepped into this damn home is comply, and comply, and comply, and comply, and comply." Her words held a sharpened edge to them as she let each line flow from her heart to her tongue, wasting no time by sending it over her head. "And in the end, you took advantage because of how yielding I was...but I won't be giving that satisfaction anymore." As she ended her concluding discussion she detached herself from the males as she reminisced over better times.

"And what is that supposed to mean?" The cold eyes boy gave her a perplexed look as he was given no response from the girl. After a moment of silence as the female's only return, Kaito began unwillingly chuckling at her behaviour. "So you'll be giving us the silence treatment? Honestly, and then you state how childish we are." The girl ignored him and the rest of boys, knowing full well the extension of her decision. "Very well then, do as you wish. We'll see how much your little tantrum will do."

Thursday, 15th October

As the males felt themselves becoming agitated with each passing second in the silence of the living room, it seemed as though they were prepared to internally scream out for the voice they yearned to hear. "Is she still pretending like we don't exist?" Kaito impatiently tapped his foot in frustrated annoyance as the brunet nodded his head in melancholic disappointment. The intellectual rested his head back against the cushion of the couch and stared up at the ceiling, allowing the blank canvas above to let his mind wander.

"Why won't (Y/n) talk to me? Did I do something wrong? Did I make her unhappy in some way?" Jin sulked at the girl's constant ignorance towards him.

"Shut up, she's giving none of us any regard." Bako's temper began to tip beyond his patience. The boy had been pacing for the hours that the girl began her protest. "She refuses to eat. She refuses to utter a single word. She refuses to look at us." Kaito rubbed his temple, absorbing each concern and information that came with the male's irritation.

The intellectual rose from his resting position to head towards the second floor. "Where are you going?" Ryo piped up from his moping position, catching the boy before he can ascend.

"I'll try and reason with her."

The blond derided in unbelieving amusement at the male's attempts. "Yeah, good luck with that." Kaito groaned out his displeasure and began climbing up to the second floor.

"Are you done with this passive aggressive conniption?" The girl's back acted as her permanent reply for each question. "What exactly are you trying to accomplish with this?" He gave her an unseen interrogating glare until a gambling idea appeared in his head and a sly smile plastered to his lips. "You know, maybe if you were talking, you could deny some things." (Y/n) felt the boy placing his weight on the bed as he sat down beside her. The girl fought off the urge to slap his hand away as began cautiously playing with her hair. "See? Now I can do this to you, and you won't even get a word in." He slid his hand between each strand of the waterfall of (h/c) as he relished in the texture. "But I'm not actually here, right? To you, I don't exist. So right now, nothing is happening to you...yet, your hands a trembling." He satisfyingly looked down towards her quivering fingers as her eyes laboringly craned to look anywhere else but him. "What's wrong? There's nothing that you're supposed to be worried about."

(Y/n) felt his voice right beside her ear like the scratching of dozens of small nails against a chalkboard. She twitched slightly as she sensed the fingers that brushed her cheek with a disgusting sweetness.

"Will you look at me now?" The gentle and teasing tone forced the girl to sternly fixate her attention to her thoughts, only for reality to sweep her back when the finger tip that were caressing her skin moved to trace her thinly shut lips. "You're not pulling away. Does that mean you're accepting me?" The female's breath hitches and shook inside her throat, not daring to escape and give the boy the satisfaction of hearing her. As his face enclosed towards her, he smirked at her stubborn attitude as he took the opportunity to place his hands on her tense shoulders. "You're not rejecting me. Does this mean I can indulge myself without your protest?" He gave the girl a captious grin that was overflowing with knowing cockiness.

(Y/n) swiftly turned towards him and grabbed his hand, slightly surprising the boy by her unexpected movements. He presented her with a triumphant and conniving smile as he assured himself he had won back her attention.

"So you finally decide to look at me. Well, it's about time-" Kaito bit down on his words and felt puzzled at the girl's furious glare. (Y/n)'s eyes glinted with great annoyance and disgust, taking the boy aback as she placed his hand around her throat and sent him a challenging scowl. Kaito was stunted by the confusing gesture until the girl's eyes revealed her implication over her action. "So...you'd rather die than receive my affection..." His answer came in the form of an irate gaze, stretching the male's nerves to a snapping point. Kaito yanked his hand away in a furious manner and exchanged angered looks with the girl as he began breathing heavily to cool down his irritation. "So that's how you want it...?! Very well, if that's going to be the case, I think I'll need to teach you a lesson." He seethed and growled, letting his breath out in unsteady huffs as the girl played with his pride, making him reach the tipping point of his patience as he stormed out of the room.

(Y/n) breathed out a sigh of relief, only for a new flood of worry to enter her occupied mind. 'What is he planning...?'

As Kaito descended from the upper floor to immediately shoot his gaze towards the brunet that was unsettlingly thinking over the worrying female. "Jin! Could I ask you for a favour?" The group turned their distracted attentions towards the male's malevolent tone.

"What's going on?" Jin worriedly referred to the boy under concern over the girl's wellbeing.

Kaito grinned at him with a mischievous spark in his features as his plan unravelled in his head. "We'll discipline (Y/n) a bit. If she's not going to talk to us, then we'll have to force a reaction out of her." The residence exchanged confused looks with each other before turning back towards the smirking intellectual.

(Y/n) sighed to herself as boredom encompassed her mind, and felt her artificial exhaustion gaining to her, 'I don't care...they can all go to hell. I'll just stay here and hopefully rot in peace.' The girl gave herself a light whack on the head as a self-scolding. 'Gosh, when did I become such a downer...? At least no one is going to get hurt this way.' (Y/n) nearly jumped out of the bed only to be held back by her bonds as her door swung open to reveal a seemingly pleased looking boy.

The girl caught onto the vindictive atmosphere he emitted. Kaito impatiently strode over to the girl as he gripped her restraints and inserted a small key into its lock to release the female from her constraints. Before (Y/n) could understand what had happened, she was roughly tugged by the male as he lead her out of the room. The girl refused to utter a word and could only grunt out her disapproval as she was pulled down to the first floor, feeling a wave of confusion seeping through.

The girl was greeted with the boys on the ground level as she insecurely darted her gaze from boy to boy as they stared at her silent form. "(Y/n), I'm going to give you one last choice to speak to us by your own free will. Now will you stop this stupid toying around, and grace us with your voice?" She responded with a wordless scoff as she looked away in defiance. Kaito heaved a sarcastic sigh as he disapprovingly tusked at her action. "Oh dear, what to do now...? I guess there's no other option. Listen (Y/n)." She tightly squeezed the girl's shoulders, sending a horrid chill running along her back. "I understand what you're problem with us is. And honestly, I'm doing this for your own good. I don't want you to be so sad and dejected, and you must be missing your friends, right?" The girl suspiciously glanced at the boy, attempting to figure his game out. "That's why I thought: 'well, she's not going to be speaking to us, anytime soon. So why not invite over someone who she can chat with? That should break the ice.' So I took the liberty of inviting over someone you might know." The intellectual's smile widened as the girl's realisation could be reflected in her eyes.

(Y/n) began pulling and yanking against the boy's hold, only to be restricted by the artist as he grabbed her body, leaving her with little room to fight. The female squirmed and thrashed in desperation, as she felt her breath unsteadying. "Kaito, who have you involved this time?! What are you doing you psycho?!" The male satisfyingly smirked at the girl's lively attitude.

"Now she speaks! Honestly (Y/n), the lengths we have to go to, to earn your reply."

"Kaito, stop this! I'm speaking to you now, right? Just stop what you're doing!" (Y/n) hopes died out as the boy shook his head from side to side.

"(Y/n)...it seems like you'll never learn your lesson unless you fully understand the consequences...the only reason we got you here in the first place was because we acted on our word, and that seems to be the only way we can get you to be obedient." He gave the girl a serious and frank stare that held a no-nonsense attitude. "You need to be aware of what happens if we ever request you to do something. We don't care for anyone else's well-being besides yours, so now you'll understand that we aren't joking when we tell you to conform with what we say." As the boy finished his statement, a buzz was heard implying the arrival of a guest. "Ah! Here she is now."

"Kaito stop! My God, why are the rest of you following his commands?! Why are you letting him do this?!" The female pushed and pulled against the individual restraining her, while Bako effortlessly held the girl still.

"We don't want to hurt you (Y/n), but you have to learn to comply with us. And if we need to harm someone else to do that, then so be it." Bako spoke in a stern tone, gracing the female with the last bit of despair.

"You can't be serious! How can you just say something like that so easily?!" (Y/n) quickly turned her attention to the mastermind behind the punishment. "Kaito, I'll do anything! I'll talk, I'll eat, I'll even agree with you, just don't hurt anyone!" The intellectual watched the defeated girl with a neutralistic expression, seeming to be thinking over his choice of action.

"I think you should be taught how to properly speak to us, (Y/n). And so we make sure we know who plays what role in this, I've invited that restaurant girl to play as our example." As the title of the person soon clicked with the girl's memory, the female began thrashing against the artist's grip, trying to squeeze her way out of his strong frame.

"You selfish snake! Don't you dare try to excuse this that you're doing it because I disobeyed you! Your bigger reasoning is because I hurt your precious pride and you couldn't deal with the fact that you didn't get your way! Why the hell are all of you listening to him?!" Ren looked on at the struggling and distressed girl before turning towards a seething and tempered Kaito.

"Kaito...stop this. This will only make things worse. She's learnt her lesson, just send that girl back home and leave (Y/n) to rest." The male in regards turned towards the boy to scowl at his suggestion as his dignity clogged all reasoning of dismissal.

There was a second ring from the outside, indicating the guest awaiting to enter. "Ryo! Please, you can't agree with this! Make this stop!" Ryo was stumped at the female's plead for him and looked to the ground under speculation over the decision.

"Angel, we just want you to stop struggling against us. We really do mean all the best for you." Though even he was unsure of the plausibility of his trained statement.

"No! This is insane! I'll do it! I'll do anything, just stop involving people!"

"Jin, go outside and greet our guest, we don't want to keep her waiting out in the cold." The brunet unsurely gazed towards the door as everyone else waited for him to go through with his part of the plan. "Jin?" Kaito sternly glared at the hesitating male, as he watched the girl's desirous look.

"Jin, if you go out there and hurt her, I will never forgive you." Her words were steady and meaningful, set with an overcoat of threatening seriousness that was too honest to be a bluff. "I'll never forgive you."

The brunet's motivations crumbled as he was torn between the choices he should make. "Jin, don't listen to her. As soon as she learns to show some respect, she won't be saying a single word like that." However, this did little to assure the boy as his gaze fluctuated between the door and quiet female as the bell kept ringing.

"Alex, she's an innocent girl. Please don't let this happen." The neutral male drifted his attention to the ground in a quick overview of his thoughts.

"I don't care for her." (Y/n) grunted in frustration at the lacking support she desperately needed. When neither of the boys provided her with the agreement, just reluctant emotions, she decided to take her chances with the brunet once more .

"Jin, if you go out there and hurt her in any way, I'll never forgive you. I'll never speak to you again. I'll hate you, do you hear me?!" Jin's heart plunged at her threatening statements, having to double take his duty.

"Kaito, all this is going to accomplish is more conflict between her and us. It doesn't matter if she'll be obedient after this if she despises us." The intellectual glared at the tactical musician.

"She's been acting up way too much for the past few days and after this little performance, our patience with her is limiting. If we keep falling through with our restrictions and warnings, she'll continue testing us." The dark haired male, however, seemed far from convinced.

"That's not-!"

"Will you two shut up!" Ryo snapped at the arguing pair, attracting everyone's attention to him. "There's some guy heading towards the girl." The male looked out of the window to confirm a large, bulky figure approaching the unsuspecting female who waited at the gated door.

Sei rung the door bell a third time, sighing in defeat as she received no answer. 'Is he not home...? I'll just wait a little longer before I go...I wonder what Jin wanted to talk to me about-?' As the female turned to look around her surroundings to familiarise herself whether she had arrived at the right address, she jumped as her gaze looked up towards the large boy that was intensely staring at the house with an irritated gaze. Sei took a moment for the male's identity to collect in her mind, and her heart fell to her gut as recognition settled in. 'T-this guy is the leader of-!' The girl's track of thoughts came to a halt as the boy switched over his sedate stare to focus on her with his steel and calculating eyes. The female's knees shook as each muscles desperately wanted to flee but was paralysed at the male's intimidating ambiance. She swallowed the dry lump in her throat as she forced a smile towards the staring boy. "H-h...hello-"

The boy casually dismissed her attempt at talk and grabbed her by the collar to start dragging her away from the area. Sei squealed and yelped out her frightened expectations as he effortlessly pulled on her like luggage on wheels.

"W-wait! I-I need to-to meet with someone!" Hiroko grumbled under his breath at the tedious task.

"No you don't." The panicked girl looked at the boy as his blunt and assured statement didn't click with her understandings. Before she could inquire on the meaning behind it, another thought entered her paranoid mind.

"I-is this a kidnapping?!" She squeaked with delusion and fright, making the male grunt in annoyance.

"Yes, this is a kidnapping. Now come quietly or I'll involve the Mafia."

"O-oh God!" She exclaimed as quietly as possible as frightened tears brimmed at her eyes as she snuffled with anguish.

'I need to start getting paid for this...' He released a pestered exhale as the girl proceeded to make bothersome sounds and noises that tested the boy's patience.

Ryo stepped away from the window and turned towards the crowd that was expectant for his explanation and insight. "He led her away." Kaito inwardly growled at the missed opportunity.

(Y/n) sighed out her relief as she her mind settled at the girl's safety. The female looked around to see the intellectual giving her contemplative glares. "What?" She snapped at him making the boy come out of his distracted state.

"Did you have something to do with this?" The girl's temper flared at the male's claim as she seemed offended by the stupidity of the statement.

"How the hell could I do that?! My hands are literally tied!" Kaito gave her a last suspicious look before exhaling in defeat.

"I'll have to sort something else out then-"

"No." Bako loosened his grip on the calm female, and regarded the boy in the middle of his speech. "I'll go put her back in her room. And then I want to speak with you." Kaito raised his eyebrow at the prospect of their discussion as Bako grabbed the female's arm to begin dragging the struggling girl towards the stairs.

"No! Don't do this to me! Stop it!" The boy tried to ignore the pleading screams of the girl as her voice drowned out in his thoughts as his conscience desperately tried t clear from the guilt of each distressed syllable.

"I'm doing this for your own good (Y/n). I can't let you try and harm yourself again." The girl pulled against the boy as they neared her room where she will be confined again to her bed.

"I won't! I won't do anything! Just please don't lock me up again!" The boy's stomach lurched at the harsh wording she used to describe her position, and forcefully had to lock her wrist back in its restraints. (Y/n) slumped at the sight of her locked arm, and her body began shaking as her mind was unsure whether to cry or keep strong.

"Please don't struggle like that again. Jin said that it's a delicate job to put handcuffs on a person without harming them." But the girl barely listened to his concerns as she mechanically began giving slight tugs against the small chain linking the cuffs. She knew her attempts were vain though her desperation would not let her rest.

Bako solemnly watched the downcast girl before leaving her to settle down. (Y/n) exhaled to calm her senses as she eased her mind with some hope.

"You've been asserting your authority through all this for long enough. I'm not going to be taking any f**king word you say anymore." Bako exchanged vexed glares with the intellectual as the two bickered over the control of the situation. They privately, though loudly discussed their positions as Bako's patience wore out.

"Do as you wish. If you don't want to get involved in matters then don't, just keep to it that you restrain yourself with (Y/n)." The cobalt-eyed boy crossed his arms in defiance as his logical reasoning began accumulating in his mind again.

"Don't you think you're getting a bit full of yourself with these egotistical consequences you give her?" Kaito scoffed at the rhetorical question.

"She's going to stabilise her attitude towards us sooner or later, but if she'll be rebelling like that, there isn't much chance she'll allow some understanding between us."

"You're making her hate us more like this...and sooner or later the others will catch onto how selfish you're being with these punishments. And all just because she did what? Reject you?" Kaito gave a sharp scowled as the boy hit close to home with his assumption. "Don't try to hide it behind your excuse that 'she's giving us the silent treatment.' No, it's because you got p**sed over her denial when you had apparently tried to take advantage of her." The intellectual sensed his temper edging up to fill him with the irritation he was being tested with. "Oh and before anything else...it's disgusting how you tried to make a move on her when she couldn't retaliate."

"Like you're one to talk." The pair traded scathing glowers with one another before the artist chose to stand back in the case of the situation escalating.

Kaito allowed his words and statements to swirl in his mind as the remarks stuck to his subconscious like moth paper. "B*****d..."
