Chapter 49: A Long Day

October, 4th Sunday

"Boop. Boop." A light poking sensation pressed itself on the girl's cheeks and eyelids, causing a bit of lucidness to be brought about to her resting form. "Boop. Boop." (Y/n) began stirring in her sleepy state, thrashing around her head at the sensation. "Boop. Boop." The girl's irritation began taking the better of her, until she figured on opening her eyes to assess what the sensation was. "Boop. Boop. Morning my angel. How was your night?" The girl stared up into the soft brown eyes of the figure laying on top of her.

"What the hell?!" She threw her bed sheets up to cover the boy in the fabric before crawling away from the intruder. "Ryo, are you insane?!" The female scuttled further back until she felt no surface underneath her and tumbled backwards to the ground. "Ow..." She rubbed her back looked up at the beguiled face of the boy laying on her bed.

"Hahahaha, do I scare you that much? Haha, come on angel, let me help you up." He extended a hand towards the girl only to have it slapped away as she pulled herself up on her own.

"What are you doing here?!" She angrily glared at the cheerful boy while he proceeded to roll around in her bed like a hyperactive child.

"Haha! I'm so happy today! You know why? Because I get to spend a few hours with my darling angel. You do remember, right?" (Y/n) groaned out as she recalled the entire scheme for their day.

"Can I at least change and brush my teeth?" She rubbed her sleepy eyes, until she looked back up at the boy patiently sitting on the duvet. "Excuse me, did you hear what I said?" She glared at the observant male who seemed unfazed by her aggravated tone.

"Can I help you change?" The girl stared at the boy, taken by surprise by his question.

"W-what?! No!" She backed away from the male and clutched onto her blouse, afraid she would feel fingers trying to pull the clothing off of her body.

"Aaww, why no? Come on, it'll be much faster this way~" the male approached the girl with a suggestive grin while she could only afford to back away from him like a wounded animal.

"No! Ryo! I said no! Get away!" As she felt her back pressing against the wall behind her, panic began taking over the girl's hindsight and desperately searched for a way out. "Stay back!" However, the boy proceeded to approach the girl in a confident stride as he lifted his hand up in anticipation of using them.

"Don't worry, this will only take a minute~" as he was in touching distance of the girl, he reached out towards the edge of her shirt.

"Ryo please stop-ppfff hahaha, what are you-? Hahaha! S-stop, stop, ahaha!" The girl burst out howling uncontrollably and rolling around in the boy's hold as he continued to move his fingers against her stomach.

"Tickle, tickle, tickle~" He mercilessly stimulated the girl's skin with the tickling assault he was giving her until her legs could not hold the defeated female and she ended up sliding to the ground in a laughing heap. "Alright, I'll give you 15 minutes to change and then we'll go eat." He petted the female's head before leaving her on her own to prepare for the day ahead.

'Idiot...'

Time Skip

The girl emerged out of her room with her new, casual attire and noticed the boy had complicated himself with a toy in his hands. "You ok...?" Ryo turned towards the girl and gave her an awkward smile.

"Yeah, just a moment, I'll be with you." The boy turned back to the toy he had trapped himself in and attempted to tug his two fingers out. The girl recognised the object as a Chinese finger trap and wasn't sure whether to help the male or leave him to struggle, After a few minutes of the boy's endeavours he hang his head in defeat. "Do you know how to work this...?"

(Y/n) scratched her head and sighed before walked up to the male and inspecting his trapped indexes. "Why do you even have this if you can't work it?" She squeezed both ends of the rubber strip and checked over her procedure to see if it was correct.

"Jin gave it to me a while ago, never used it until now...Ah! Thanks!" The blond flexed his fingers as they were freed from the bonds. "I knew my angel would come and help me. Now come on!" The boy grabbed the girl's hand and started casually running around the corridors, paying little heed to how much noise he was making.

"W-where are we going?!" (Y/n) followed the boy around each corner until they both came to a stop in front of a familiar-looking door. "Your room...?" The girl felt somewhat discouraged and apprehensive at the prospect of entering the boy's surroundings without the speculation of witnesses.

"Yes! You're not scared, are you?" He gave her a playfully cocky smirk.

"No, just don't feel like spending time with you..." However, the boy pulled the girl into the room, immediately shutting the door behind him. "Hey! What are you-?!" Before she could fully question the male on his swift motions, she was shoved to the wall, her hands locked against the hard surface, enabling her from fully moving. "What the hell man-?!" Her words paused at her tongue as she noticed the boy wavering closely, watching her with a mischievous spark in his eyes.

Taking advantage of her speechless state, Ryo slanted his head toward's the girl's own, close enough to feel the female's unsteady breaths. "Do you want to do something fun?" He purred out the luring question, proceeding to place his face beside her ear. "Something we'll both enjoy~?" (Y/n) tried to free her restrained wrists but the male had a tight latch on them and continued his propositions.

"R-Ryo, stop!" The female bit her words back as she felt the boy's lips grazing her cheek, his warm exhales tickling her skin, causing chills to arise around her body.

"Do you want a challenge?" The girl shook her head, distrusting her mouth to speak out comprehensible words. Ryo positioned his lips against the catatonic female's cheek and brought her hands together, "Do you want to try something out?"

"N-n-no, I-"

"Sshh, I've already made up my mind, angel." (Y/n) sensed his face moving closer to hover in front of her own. "Let's see how you get out of this one..." As both their noses brushed against each other, the female closed her eyes, hoping time would stop for her convenience. "Done!" (Y/n) opened her eyes to see the grinning boy moving back until he had fully released her. For a moment, the girl could only stare at him in bewildered wonder at what his intentions were, until she felt her fingers restricted in their movements. "Hahaha! Your face, angel! You've turned completely red!" The boy covered his mouth to try and suppress the chuckling sounds that begged to be let out.

(Y/n) look down at her hands to see the finger trap had been placed around both her index fingers, and stared up at the boy. "W-What...?"

"Haha! Oh my God, you look like a ripe cherry (Y/n)! Was I really that good?" He proudly puffed out his chest and flicked his hair, clearly boasting over the effect he had on the girl.

"Y-You moron!" The girl strode over to the boy and shoved her trapped hands in front of his face. "Take this off so I can bash your teeth in!" However, instead of complying with her wishes, he simply hooked the trapped girl by her bond and lead her further into the room. "What are you doing?! I said take this off! I can't do it on my own!" After her face had returned to its normal temperature, she endeavoured at unlocking her fingers from the puzzle. She then felt her body being pushed down to a sitting position and the male moving a few inches away to sit beside her. (Y/n) noticed the food that had been placed on a table cover on the floor and looked over at the boy for insight.

"It's time for breakfast! And this time, I prepared everything, just as I promised." The girl looked over at the fried chicken, marinated in sauce, accompanied with cooked vegetables as well as the piece of Chocolate fudge cake placed to the side.

"It...all looks good...but how am I supposed to eat with this!" She threw her trapped fingers towards the boy in desperation for him to free her. Ryo inspected the girl's position and simply shrugged.

"Yeah, that does look like it's going to be a problem...I guess I'll just have to feed you myself." The girl froze at his words, feeling the blood slowly drain from her face into her gut.

"No! You'll release me and I'll eat by myself!" However, the blond gave her a sly smirk and shook his head from side to side.

"Nope! I'm feeding you." He held up a fork full of the food in front of the female and tried to direct it towards the girl's mouth only for her to turn her head away from him. "Come one angel, don't be like that." He whined and pouted at the girl's refusal and gave another shot towards feeding her only for the same thing to happen. "Alright, if you're going to be this difficult..." At the response she received, the female thought that he would finally help with her release, but instead felt his fingers pinching her nose. She gasped at the sudden action and saw the boy taking the chance to put the food in her mouth. She quickly shut her jaws, blocking the cutlery from entering yet allowing her to intake oxygen. "Why are you being so difficult, come on." He placed the fork at the girl's lips, allowing her to taste some of the sauce covering the chicken, enticing her into cracking. After a while of both of them standing like statues, (Y/n) figured the boy wouldn't let her go until she conformed with his wishes. With reluctance on her decision, the female unclenched her teeth to allow the food to enter and the boy to smile. "Was that so hard?" The girl stayed quiet as her nose was unlocked and allowed to inhale.

"Can I be freed now?" The male shook his head in a negative answer and prepared another forkful of the goods to give to the girl. "Why?!"

"I'll let you go when we've both eaten." He waved the utensil in front of the female's face to tempt her into taking it. (Y/n) sighed, knowing she would waste her time with her defiance and simply leaned in to take the goods in her mouth but ended up biting on air. She glared at the boy suspiciously before trying to catch the food again, failing in her attempts once more. "Try again angel~" however as she snapped away like a pirania, no food ended up in her mouth.

"Damn it, just give me my food!" Ryo laughed at her frustration and stopped his hand in one place to let the girl take a bite.

"Haha, alright excuse me. I couldn't help myself." For a while, the girl quietly ate as her discomfort was increased with the boy grinning at her.

"No more." She shook her head as she swallowed down the last piece of food that her stomach could fit and leaned back to relax as her organs digested the breakfast. "Can you help me out now." She lifted up the finger trap that held her fingers together.

"Not until I've had my fill." (Y/n) sighed in impediment and determined she should patiently wait for the male to finish before asking him again, until she noticed something that sent her on high alert.

"What are you doing?!"

"What?" The boy was about to take a bite out of his share of the food.

"Y-you're not going to use the same fork I ate out of, right?!" The boy looked towards the utensil and shrugged with more delight than necessary.

"Why not? I didn't bring any other fork." He innocently looked towards the bothered female.

The girl became irritated at the mendacious excuse and shook her head in disapproval. "Don't you dare!" Ryo paid little mind to the teenager and prepared to put the cutlery in his mouth. (Y/n) jumped on him before he could finish the action. "Stop it! Don't!" As the two began struggling against each other, Ryo fell backwards, dragging the girl down with him.

After taking a moment to collect herself, (Y/n) felt a gentle tremor underneath her and realised she had positioned herself on top of the boy. The girl pulled back to glare down at the chuckling male. "I like this view~" the female's blood boiled as he stared up at her, and brought her hands down on his chest, punching the breath out of him. "Oof!"

"You perverted idiot!" She crawled away from the boy until she was satisfied with her distance.

"Hahaha! Ow...hehe, I'm sorry. I couldn't help myself, you're just so cute when you get embarrassed." (Y/n) felt her eye twitch and turned away from the boy. Ryo got up to shuffle by the girl's side, only to have her scooching away. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'll try and be less 'playful' ok?" However, he received no response from the girl and frowned at her hampered spirit. He sighed and reached out for her hands, causing the girl to flinch slightly at the touch. "Don't worry...I'm keeping my promise." He quickly pulled off the manoeuvre she performed on him before, and freed her fingers to move. Relieved to have her hands no longer interlocking she barely noticed when Ryo lifted both her wrists towards him, and kissed the top of her hand. "There we go." She pulled her arms back and scowled at the happy male.

Ryo looked over at the clock to notice the time he had with the girl quickly running out. After he made sure his guest had finished her search through the boxes of costumes he had accumulated over the years, he pulled her to sit on a chair. "What are you-?" Ryo placed a finger to his lips to signal some silence from the female and ran to his closet to retrieve a small box.

"(Y/n), do you mind closing your eyes?" The female blinked a few times, wary over the request but decided to amuse the boy and relaxed her eyelids. She heard a few shuffles from all around until she felt the presence behind her, and heard a light jingle before a fiddling sensation occurred at the back of her neck. "Alright! You can open your eyes now." She did as she was requested and opened up her sight to notice what the boy had done.

"What's this?" She looked down at the intricately shaped piece of jewellery that hung around her neck. The form of the accessory resembled a pair of wings, coming together to create a heart in the centre of the two shapes. "Ryo what?" She looked up at the boy, speechless at the gesture while he simply shrugged with a grin.

"Now you've got your wings, angel." (Y/n) blinked a number of times at the sight of the delicate necklace, growing silent at the gift.

"I-is this real silver?" The boy happily nodded. "...Take it back." (Y/n) made a move to unhook the necklace but was stopped by the male.

"Angel just take it, it's my gift to you." (Y/n) vigorously shook her head, fighting against his blocking defence.

"Ryo, please. I can't accept this, just take it back-"

"(Y/n), please..." The girl slightly cringed at the saddened and disappointed tone the boy spoke out with. He exhaled, and reluctantly let go of the girl's hands, leaving her to decide on whether his sentiment would be accepted or not. (Y/n) could feel her conscience playing on her reasoning and gulped.

"Thank you..." With a lot of regret, (Y/n) accepted the accessory, receiving a gentle and sincere hug. The girl sighed, refusing to return the embrace but neither trying to push him away. "Whatever..."

There was a knock on the door, pleading for permission to be opened. Ryo hesitantly let go of the girl and walked over to clear up the eaten food on his floor. "Come in..." The door opened up to allow the newcomer to walk in and approach the female.

"(Y/n), shall we go?" Bako extended his hand towards the girl but the only reply she gave him was a nod of the head and followed the boy outside. Right before closing the door, she looked back to see the dejected blond staring at the ground.

"Ryo, need help?" The boy perked at the sound of the female's voice and turned around to flash her an assured grin.

"No, I'll clear it up myself. You go and enjoy the rest of your day angel." (Y/n) nodded and closed the door, fully isolating the boy to his lonesome.

Bako gently led the girl into his room and closed the door. (Y/n) walked in, speculating the interior, bringing on distressing flashbacks from the occurrence from the previous week. However, one thing that caught the girl's attention was the small art unit the boy had prepared with many art tools and different sized canvases and papers. "What's that?" The boy glanced towards where the girl's attention was directed and gave her a self-conscious smile.

"It's my art space. I figured it would be a bit more organised if I keep all the things I need and use in one place." The girl looked towards the new project he had been working on with watercolours and nearly burst out laughing at the picture.

"Why were you painting pizza?" She pointed at the half-done drawing or the slice of food and approached it to confirm the odd image. The male gave her an embarrassed grin as she proceeded to analyse the delicately drawn artwork.

"I was feeling hungry so I just started painting. I always draw anything that I can't get out of my mind." As the girl glanced back at the boy, he shamefully averted his eyes away from her inquiring gaze. "A-Anyway, what do you want to do? I don't want to force you into anything you don't like."

"Since when was that a concern...?" The boy cowered at the double handed statement and gulped. "...So, can you show me what's your secret?" The girl figured there was little point into guilt tripping the male in this situation and simply decided to return to the main subject.

"Oh, well I don't know what I can say. I guess it's all just practice." The male walked over to the girl and asked her to approach him at one part of the station. "Which do you want to learn. Pencil sketches? Watercolours? Chalk drawings?" The female looked thoughtful for the moment until she made up her mind.

"I'd like to start with the simple pencil sketches." She picked up a well-sharpened pencil and looked towards the boy for instructions. Bako smiled at her and pulled up a chair for the girl to sit in, and she reluctantly did as indicated. "Alright, what now?"

"What would you like to draw?" (Y/n) seemed deep in though as many decisions swam around in her head until one stuck out amongst the choices. "How about the house?"

"You mean this one?" The girl nodded at the surprised boy and readied herself to create the landscape. "Well, it's going to be hard since you have to do it by memory, but let's try anyway...here I'll start you off with a basic sketch." He skilfully drew a fundamental template by memory, in a very short span of time, giving the girl a head start with the drawing.

"I don't think my art skills will improve this..."

"With some time and patience, I'm sure you'll do better than you expect." The girl concentrated back on the drawing and attempted to make it more recognisable to the real design.

"So...what's the address of the house again?" Bako carefully observed the girl with caution as she popped up the question.

"Why do you ask?" He eyed the female for any hinting signs that would expose any hidden intentions.

"Just...to put it into the picture..." She casually answered and proceeded to work on the drawing.

Bako analysed her body language and tone until setting his guard back down. "...You can't see the address from that distance. Just leave it out."

"Ok..." After a while of trying to progress on the drawing, (Y/n) began getting frustrated with the project until she dropped the pencil in defeat.

"Do you need some help?" She silently nodded and took the tool back in her hand. "Alright, here. Let me show you how to add detail." He took the girl's balled up fist in his hand and was about to guide her wrist with his own until (Y/n) pulled her arm away. Bako saddened as the girl moved her chair aside from him and proceeded on her own.

"I'll be fine on my own actually..." The cobalt-eyed boy sighed and walked off to one side of the room to sort out boxes of supplies. While his back was turned away, the girl quietly took a piece of paper from the stack near her, and a small pen that she was sure he wouldn't miss. She placed the two equipment in her jacket and looked back at the boy to see him still busyness with his own concerns. "So, what do you usually draw?"

The boy prepared to answer with assurance until he lost his voice as he subconsciously repeated his answer. "Uuhm...just random things." The male avoided eye contact with the girl and concentrated on packaging his equipment and assortments.

After Bako considered his clean up at a satisfactory level, he closed in on the girl to check her progress. "I can't do this...how do you manage to draw so precisely? It's like hell to draw so accurately..." She attempted to make a few strokes, meaning to draw the gate of the compound until she chucked the pencil to the side to issue her surrender. The male chuckled and picked up another pencil from a cup and began correcting the girl's mistakes.

"It takes time for your brain to develop to the point where you put a lot of your attention to detail. It takes a bit of practice..." The girl watched as in no time the strokes and shades of the pencil magically transformed the rough sketch into an accurate image of the building. "And little by little..." He proceeded to rub out any unneeded features and lines until the girl could only stare at the quick transformation of the image. "There! What do you think?" The male proudly handed the impressed girl the pencil and left her to analyse the picture.

"Easier said than done..." She studied each little detail and shade that accompanied each, precise article. She looked over at the boy who was inadvertent gazing at the her with a distracted shift to his eyes. "What?" The male focused back to reality as he took notice of his actions.

"N-nothing, I'm just happy you're here." The girl nodded and noticed the boxes that had been stacked up against one corner of the room and proceeded towards them.

"What's all this?" The knelt down to inspect the cardboard cases as curiosity got the better of her.

"It's my art equipment mostly. I'm always sorting them out." The girl pointed to one box and inquired on the contents. "That's mostly paints."

"What about this one?" She indicated towards another carton.

"That's colouring pens and pencils."

"This one?" The girl patted at another arbitrary box.

"That one's for measuring tools."

"How about this?" She held up a box that had been securely taped and shut to avoid the glimpses of outsiders.

"That's-No!" Bako quickly ran to the stunned girl and tore the box away from her and took it in his hands. "This is none of your business." He walked towards his cupboard and placed the contents inside. 'This thing is seriously going to keep me on edge when she's around...but I can't force myself to get rid of them.' The boy mortifyingly looked to the ground before greeting the girl's bewildered stare with a dismissive smile. Despite the effects of his abasement behaviour, he tried to normalise the atmosphere as much as possible and struck up a conversation before he could be questioned on his actions further.

"Wait, so the guy created a life-sized sculpture of the human centipede?" The girl attempted to wrap her mind around the story the boy had told her for the third time around.

"Yeah, it looked really weird. The only person that was actually impressed by it was Jin." The pair laughed at the foreseen truth that should have been expected with an image such as that. To the male's relief, he had managed to nullify the subject of his previous actions and ignore the entire occurrence completely.

"You should have asked the guy what he was on while making that. I wouldn't mind a few tons of the new stuff." The students chuckled and laughed at the oddness and joking manner of the entire anecdote, until only the girl's laugh ricocheted off the walls. She looked to the silent boy, puzzled over his sudden change in attitude.

"...Come on. We need to go." The male stood up and jerked his head toward the door as an indication for the girl to follow him.

"Where are we going?" The boy denied the female any regard as his mind fluttered with many thoughts and concerns as he lead her to the final male. As the two students stopped in front of a door, Bako knocked gently on the wood and made a move to walk back to where he came from. "Hey? What's going on?" The boy turned towards her with an apathetic smile.

"He's waiting for you. Just go in, he wouldn't mind." With the obscure explanation, he left the female to proceed on her own accord.

(Y/n) turned the handle and entered the room to be stunned by the first thing her eyes laid on. Her orbs trailed the shelves upon shelves of books that replaced one of the walls in the room, covering that entire section with novellas, journals, stories and nonfiction writing. "Woah..." Even as her feet unwillingly led her into the room, she was unable to peel her sight away from the shelved area and flinched slightly as she heard an amused chuckle from behind her.

"You seem impressed, do you like it?" She turned around towards the male that had made himself comfortable at a desk, awaiting for her visit.

"It's...neat." She couldn't bring herself to talk illy of the unique design, being an avid reader herself it felt very suiting.

"Come here." (Y/n) turned around to see the boy indicating towards a chair in front of him. The girl reprehensible walked over to the chair and hesitated over sitting in it. "Sit down, I've got nothing in mind." The boy smoothly spoke in a genuine and playful tone, bringing some doubt to the female, but inclining her on complying. "So how has your time here been?" (Y/n) glared at the boy with spite at the gull he had to ask her that question.

"I want to go back home." The female steadily spoke but her request seemed to amuse the boy further.

"You are home, (Y/n)." The girl inwardly growled at the statement but proceeded to ignore the male altogether. "And from what I've heard, you've been having quite an enjoyable time here with us." The girl shook her head in denial, though her actions did nothing to hinder the boy's perception. "And as long as you're happy, I'm happy."

"No, as long as I'm under your surveillance you're happy." She corrected him and sent the boy a bitter glare.

"I'm doing this for you, (Y/n). The least you can do is be a bit grateful." The intellectual irritably tapped his finger against the surface of the desk.

"I was absolutely fine before any of you came into my life. You all ruined me." Kaito growled at the female's words as they struck at the right spot.

"You stupid girl...this is for your own good-"

"No, you stupid boy, you're doing this because you're butthurt over how I don't need any of you, and can't take rejection like a reasonable person. Excuse my selfishness, but I also have my pride after all this, and don't like to be played with."

The boy fell silent, carefully breaking down each one of the girl's comments and cautiously considering them in his head. "You don't understand anything if you think that's all this is." The female was expecting a more aggravated tone to accompany the statement, but the words were handed with soothing and humble confidence.

(Y/n) huffed at his response, and leaned back in the chair, letting the silence sink in. The quietness engulfed the air around them, creating an invisible wall for both the teenagers to indulge in their own thoughts until one of them spoke. "Can I leave..."

Kaito slowly shook his head, deep in consideration over his next choice of words. "Are you thirsty?" The girl shook her negative answer and the boy proceeded to get up at her reply.

(Y/n) watched him as he approached a table at the far side of the room and proceeded to pour out an unopened bottle of water into a glass. "I said I'm not thirsty."

"I know. I also know you like to counterfeit your reasoning when it comes to us offering you something, so I'll just take a guess and consider that a lie." He came back to the girl with the glass and placed it on the desk beside her.

"..." (Y/n) refused to thank the boy and simply had her gaze piercing through his head.

"But you've been very compliant with us so far...I might consider taking it a bit easier on you. And who knows, maybe you'll go outside again." The female perked up at the news and crossed her fingers for a certainty on the consideration. "(Y/n)?" The girl raised her eyebrow at the inquiring tone in the male's voice. "What...-" Kaito cut himself off as embarrassment shrouded his confidence, further playing on the intrusiveness of the female.

"What?" The boy sighed, trying to build up the courage to ask his question.

"What...what kind of flowers do you like?" The girl tilted her head, baffled at the unexpected inquest, causing the boy's humiliation to hit him in the gut. "D-don't look at me like a lost cat and answer the question!"

"Why do you ask?" The prolonged reply to the inquiry created a small layer of blush to dusting the male's face.

"I-it's because Ren told me you didn't accept his dahlia flower. S-so just for future reference, what flower would you permit?" This lead the girl to be taken further aback by the statement, proceeding to increase the boy's unversed embarrassment. "Forget it! Just pretend I didn't say anything."

(Y/n) lightly chuckled at the unseen part of the male, and decided to amuse him. "Well, my grandmother used to always plant daffodils and sunflowers in her garden during summer so..." The male nodded, finally seeming to cool down from the efforts of gathering the information along with his composure.

"So, do you enjoy going to your relatives' during summer?" The girl eagerly nodded as nostalgia and memories flooded back.

"Yeah! Most of the time I would go and visit my grandma and grandpa in this quiet little village. It's really beautiful there, and it has this cosy feeling to it that just makes you feel at home." The boy couldn't help but enjoy the sight of the girl returning to her more natural, energetic self as she spoke so fondly of her past. An unintentional smile spread to his lips as he half-heartedly listened to (Y/n) talking about her experiences and past. "And there is this huge garden in the middle of the village that has patio furniture and these big umbrellas that block out the sun." The girl looked to the boy as she heard a snort come from his direction. "What?"

"Nothing, nothing. Just...tell me what the garden had again?" The girl apprehensively watched the male's amused state and proceeded explains again.

"It has a load of patio furniture and these huge umbrellas-" Another snort emerged from the boy until a held back chuckle was noticed. "Ok, what?!" (Y/n) glared at the male while he proceeded to shake from the held in laughter.

"'These huge umbrellas'? Hahaha, (Y/n) do you mean parasols?" The girl handed the chuckling male a blank expression.

"I don't know what a parasol is, I'm talking about those huge umbrellas that you put on the ground. You sometimes get them in cafes or restaurants that serve outside- " This further escalated the boy's sniggers into full on laughter. "W-what?!"

"That is a parasol you stupid girl." The male had to hold his face to aid him in containing his amusement.

"O-oh..." The girl quietly moped as the boy continued to cackle at her incompetence. "You don't have to layer it on that thick..." She pouted at the boy's shaking head.

"Haha, I apologise, it's just- haha, it's just such common knowledge." (Y/n) rolled her eyes indignantly at his response. "Honestly (Y/n), does your brain malfunction when you learn a new word?"

"That's a bit presumptuous..." She crossed her arms and turned away from the boy's mockery, only for him to start a second round of his titters.

"Haha, woah 'presumptuous,' I'm surprised you didn't start foaming at the mouth from that-hahaha!" Despite the female's puffed out cheeks, she couldn't help but grin at the innocent taunting.

"Shut up, anyone could have made the mistake."

"Yes but out of everyone else, I wouldn't expect you to be so unfamiliar with the name, hehe." (Y/n) huffed out in a childish manner and conceitedly smirked.

"I'll take that as a compliment and leave it at that." Kaito light-heartedly chuckled until his entire demeanour drained out along with the pleasant atmosphere that used to surround the two. (Y/n) noticed the unanticipated change in mood as the boy stared at her with a perplexed expression of bewilderment. "W-what?"

"Where did you get that?" Kaito stood up and swiftly walked up to the confused girl.

"What?"

"Where did you get this?" He reached towards her and took the jewellery that hung around her neck to inspect and confirm his suspicions.

"R-Ryo gave it to me..." She clenched the arms of the chair, apprehensive towards what the male in front of her was intending on.

"This is..." After quickly scrutinising the object, he pulled away to stare at the girl. "(Y/n), I think it's time you leave." The female in question slanted her head, baffled at the request. "Don't stare at me like that, just get up." He commanded and took the glass of water from the desk and hastily moved to the door, He looked back at the girl that was still paralysed in her spot when he realised her hesitance to follow him. "Come on, don't make me wait for you." He sternly regarded the girl, inclining her to proceed with the request.
