Chapter 4: A Favour

There were three more boys that (Y/n) didn't recognise sitting with those she's seen already. One had light, spiky red hair and held luminous teal eyes behind dark, framed glasses giving him an intelligent look though he gave out an air of secrecy. The other boy had slick cinnamon tresses, fair emerald eyes and gave the impression of innocence and insecurity. The third male wore dim magenta locks, that didn't seem to have be brushed in months, with amber highlights on the ends. Complimented with his boysenberry orbs he held a stern and stoic expression and seemed disinterested with everything around him.

"Ok, I'm going to go talk to them! Don't try and stop me!" Lala spoke, passion burning in her eyes.

Time skip

"So are you actually going to walk up to them, instead of just staring at them for another 10 minutes." Saki asked her sister, who was still holding her determined gaze. Her expression slouched from her twin's words and gave a sigh of defeat.

"It's like their untouchable."

"Those girls don't seem to think so." The three friends looked at the table and could barely see the boys thanks to the horde of females surrounding the males.

"We're doomed! We might as well write on our graves 'died forever alone.' This is stupid." (Y/n) inwardly rolled her eyes, knowing the two girls will be over their misfortune in a few days.

"Ladies, if you don't mind we'll be going now." The read-headed boy told them bluntly. He nonchalantly pushed his way past the crowd of female while the other boys awkwardly followed the upfront intellectual, with the sunny haired teen winking at a few downcast expressions.

"Don't worry girls, we'll be back tomorrow~" a few of the smitten females blushed and smiled on.

"I wish I could go up and speak to them, what I wouldn't give to hear one of them talk to me." Lala slumped against the table, twirling her food around. (Y/n) took one look at her friend's downcast form and quickly ate up the rest of her lunch. She stood up with a persistent appearance and walked confidently in the direction of the latest additions to the school.

"Where are you going?! Hey, (Y/n)!?!" The twins were left to watching as the purposeful female left. "What's she up to?"

(Y/n) asked around to fined where the new group of guys could be and it didn't take long before she located the her prey. Walking up behind the party, she noticed they were staring tensely at something. (Y/n) looked ahead of them to spot a gang of 7 buff-looking boys returning the piercing gazes of the teens ahead of them. Students began avoiding that part of the hall like the blague as the atmosphere intensified. (Y/n) watched with interest at the spectacle in front of her. These were the 'Osamu' gang, name roughly translated to 'discipline,' a group of troublemakers that would get in your face if you even sneezed wrong. With their leader, Hiroko at the head of the pack, radiating dominance from every pour of his body. He had spiky flaxen hair and a strong build, and to add on the stereotype, he constantly wore his clothes in every other style except for respectable.

"Hey, Hiroko. These guys seem a bit too comfortable with walking around the school, looking like they own s**t." One of the naive rookies spoke. His boss regarded the boy by looking at him to only look back at the group frontwards of them.

"Listen, we don't mean any trouble." The dark raven of the other group spoke sternly. The others tried their best to keep a calm head and not make the first move to a fight for survival.

"Well, neither do we. We just want you to know your place, since your new and all." Hiroko spoke with a paramount tone, showing he meant business. The opposed boys took on a prepared stance, adjusting for any move the clashing group would send their way. After 5 seconds that felt like hours, it seemed a bomb was about to explode in any second.

"Oi, Hiroko, what's up." (Y/n) appeared from seemingly nowhere and regarded the bulky rebel. Usually people hesitated to even approach one of the troublemakers but (Y/n) has Hiroko as a geography partner and since he is a hopeless wreck at the subject, (Y/n) couldn't help but give him a hand every lesson. Thanks to this they became acquittance and in some respects, friends.

Everyone looked towards the speaker and (Y/n) felt a bit self conscious at the sudden attention but she knew if she were to stop the upcoming fight, she needs to avert the subject. "Hey since your here, can I have that 20 you owe me?" The guy in question took a second in order to process the request before looking away a bit embarrassed.

"I told you (Y/n), I'll give the money back next week."

"Indeed you did say that.....like two months ago and I'm still left hanging." (Y/n) got a bit annoyed at how fast the anarchist had forgotten about his loan, but she saw this as an opportunity to bribe him away, "Then again, I can forget about the allowance if you consider leavening these gentlemen alone?" (Y/n) felt a bit flustered with every eye in the hall staring at her and Hiroko was in deep thought over her deal. 'Where are the teachers when you need them?' (Y/n) thought to herself, looking around.

The muscled student turned around the other direction and walked away with ought another word, and his minions hesitantly followed pursuit. (Y/n) sighed in relief and in a bit irritation at the loss of her money forever. Turning back to the other group of males she saw that they were staring at their saviour.

(Y/n) found this as a perfect moment to make her friend's dream come true. "Hey, can one of you guys talk to my friend, she's really wanted to speak to you guys but she's too bashful." (Y/n) takes her phone out to call Lala and waits for the answer. All the while, the boys were staring at her and a mixture of amazement and confusion. "Hey Lala, so I got the new boys here so if you want to talk to the-" (h/c) haired teen retracted the phone from her ear when the screeching of her friend on the other line began. When she was sure Lala was losing her voice, she put the phone to her ear again. "Ok so-.....alright....yes...what-me?! But I don't-......you know what, fine." With a heavy sigh, (Y/n) looked about herself to find the right specimen.

She abruptly stopped an arbitrary girl that was walking by and spun her around to face the befuddled boys. "W-what are you-?" She quickly silenced herself when (Y/n) started to gently stroke her hair, sending alarms to go off in the girl's head.

"Don't worry, I just want to get your opinion on something.....which of these boys is more attractive based on your perception?" (Y/n) gave a creeper smile at the poor bystander, making her face the boys and embarrassingly weigh her options.

"W-why do I-?" The girl lulled her tone when her captivator whispered in her ear.

"Ssshhh, don't worry. There's no wrong answer, it's purely opinion based." The (h/c) haired girl knew she was freaking the student in her arms out, but couldn't help relish in the reactions she received. The perturbed female quickly looked back at boys.

"Uuuhhh- uuhhmm....that one I guess....?" She pointed at the dark-magenta haired guy with the matching dark eyes.

"Wonderful! Thank you for the help." (Y/n) pushes the random girl and shoos her gratefully away. "Thanks you, I promise next time I'll only watch you creepily!" (Y/n) briskly walked up to the chosen boy and handed the stunned male her phone. "Here, talk to her, she wants to talk to the cutest guy here so apparently you fit the conditions so here!" The violet-red headed boy takes a moment to process what had happened in the past 5 minutes and hesitantly took the phone.

(Y/n) decided to let her friend and new student talk while she watched the clock on the wall. 'Eight minutes until next lesson. She better savour every second she has of this conversation because I'm not risking being late for history.'

"Uh yea.....it's nice to-.....ok?" (Y/n) was wondering what her friend must be saying to the poor boy. The rest of the group merely stared at the new addition to the scene.

"H-hey (Y/n), I really can't thank you enough for the help." Bako was the first one to come out of his disoriented state and remark the (e/c) eyed girl.

"Hhm? Oh no don't worry, they won't bother you if they don't see that your a threat to the school or them. Trust me, they'll forget you guys even exist in a few months." Bako felt more than overjoyed to hear (Y/n) talking to him in a natural manner.

"Who the hell were they?"

"They're both trouble makers and peace keepers. There's a reason why they'r called the 'Osamu' gang, you could say they'r Michael Bay movies and Judge Judy multiplied by a 4 year old. Explosive, bold, intuitive, justice hungry and can be bribed with pocket lint if you sound smart enough." Bako chortled.

"I can see. I'll keep that in mind for future reference." The blue haired male shone a bright smile. (Y/n) looked back at the clock, showing they had another 4 minutes before class starts and the (h/c) haired teen looked back at the boy on her phone who seemed a bit fatigued from the conversation he was having with the girl on the other line.

"Ok...? Uhu....alri-HUH?!" (Y/n) grabbed her phone back and put it against her ear.

"-and that's why I swear I'm not a crazy stalker." She heard her friend say from the other end.

"What?"

"(Y/n)? Where did Alex go?" Lala wined.

"Alex?" (Y/n) hooked an eyebrow up.

"That would be me." The stone-faced magenta boy piped up.

"Ok, I need to get ready to go now so I'll be taking my phone ba-"

"No please! Come on, just a few more minutes!" (Y/n) could hear the disappointment, but she looked back at the hot-pink eyed student and noticed how worn out he looked from his conversation with the chartreuse eyed blond.

"Ok, I'll put him back on the phone." The referred to boy widened his eyes and got ready to sprint to the other side of the school. "Here you go." But instead of handing the phone to the male, she ended the call and switched her phone off in case Lala tried to call another half a dozen times to ask what that was about. "I'm going to truly pay for this." She whispered to herself then focused her speech towards Alex, "You owe me."

The bell rung at that moment, emitting it's melody signalling another two hours of education. (Y/n) flew past the group, towards her next lesson, leaving half the pupils still unsure if what occurred in the past 15 minutes truly took place. They stood in silence with only the bell's vibrations transmuted through the hall before it came to a quick stop.

"WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?!" the blond was the first to respond.
