THIS CHAPTER IS A DOOZY OH M Y
--
"What do you want to talk to me about?"

Jungkook asked Taehyung once he had stepped outside with him. "I've still got company over you know, I don't think I can take that long."

Taehyung sighed, leaning against the balcony railing before looking up at Jungkook. The younger demon gulped as Taehyung's piercing blue eyes stared straight into him, everything seeming to slow down around them. He suddenly seemed to hone in on all of Taehyung's details, words lost as he swam within the other demon's sea blue eyes.

"Yoongi shooed him away." Taehyung mumbled, Jungkook too busy focusing on how Taehyung's hair blew in the wind to even listen to him. "Yoongi, Seokjin and I want to talk to you Kook."

Taehyung stood up straight, taking a step towards Jungkook before resting his fingers on the back of the younger's neck. "We really want to talk to you about what really happened, that day you were with me not too long ago."

Jungkook's eyes immediately widened, Taehyung watching his Adam's apple bob as he gulped nervously.

"Taehyung, I already told you that was nothing." He answered quickly. "Besides, why is what happens between Jimin and I any of your business?" He asked, knees suddenly feeling weaker as Taehyung's fingers pressed against him more firmly.

"Just wondering why such a cold hearted demon was crying over a human that is apparently not very important to him." Taehyung shrugged, finally willing his powers to come through completely, fingers leeching the energy out of Jungkook's body.

The brunette fell near limp in his arms, Taehyung combing his fingers through his hair as he leaned against the railing.

"Oh, Jungkook." He sighed. "What has the devil done to you?" He asked, Jungkook letting out a soft whine in response as his eyelids drooped. "You loved your Jimin so much didn't you? Would do absolutely anything to get him back, even if that meant giving him up."

He felt as Jungkook tensed up a bit, bottom lip trembling. "He's your baby, you said?" Taehyung asked, Jungkook nodding weakly. "He meant so much to you didn't he?"

He watched as tears welled up in Jungkook's eyes, sinking to the floor so that he could pull the weakened demon into his arms. "What's wrong Kook? Why are you starting to cry again?"

"I'm not." Jungkook mumbled tiredly. "Not crying over Jimin, have no reason to." His watery eyes told a different story, Taehyung thankful when he looked up to see Yoongi and Seokjin stepping outside quietly.

"Oh you're not crying?" Seokjin spoke softly, walking over and running his fingers through Jungkook's hair. "You're not crying over your Jimin?"

"My Jimin." Jungkook repeated tiredly, eyes fluttering shut for a moment before he opened them again.

"That's right." Seokjin smiled. "What does Jimin sound like, Jungkook?" He asked, watching as the younger shifted in Taehyung's hold.

He nibbled at his bottom lip before tucking his head into the crook of Taehyung's neck.

"Jiminie's voice is so pretty." He whispered. "It's so sweet, I could listen to it all day and I wouldn't ever get tired of it."

The three other demon's exchanged glances. It was good that they were getting something out of him, but it wasn't specific enough for them to know that he was actually diving back into his memories, and wasn't actually just thinking of the current Jimin.

"What does he smell like?" Yoongi asked, watching as Taehyung's hand rubbed up and down his back to keep the younger demon under his spell.

"Raspberries." Jungkook answered instantly. "Raspberries and fresh cut grass. Sweet and fresh. I've only ever smelt it on Jimin."

"What does he look like?" Taehyung asked, knowing that this was the question that would truly tell him if they were being successful or not.

"His hair is as black as night." Jungkook sighed dreamily, causing the other demon's stomachs to flip. The current Jimin's hair was light brown. Jungkook was living in his memories now. "His eyes are so beautiful, just like rubies."

Jungkook's eyes were closed, a blissful look spread across his face. "He looks so vibrant." They all watched as Jungkook's serene expression quickly washed off his face, fingers curling into Taehyung's shirt. "Or at least, he did before..."

Jungkook trailed off, and they watched how his bottom lip trembled, Seokjin kneeling down next to the two other demons so that he could caress Jungkook's face gently.

"Before what, Jungkook?" Seokjin asked carefully, a lone tear slipping out from underneath Jungkook's closed eyelids.

"Before he started falling apart." Jungkook's voice was strained, more tears flowing down his cheeks as he pressed his face into Taehyung's shirt. His breathing began to come out shaky, his soft cries slowly becoming sobs. "It's my fault. It's my fault." Jungkook cried, tears staining Taehyung's shirt as the began to shake in the other demon's hold.

"Jungkook, it's not your fault." Seokjin cooed, reaching forwards and wiping some of Jungkook's tears off of his face. It was pointless, because more tears replaced them in seconds.

"It's my fault." Jungkook repeated, shaking his head and refusing to open his eyes. "It's all my fault. Everything's my fault."

"Jungkook-"

"I killed him!" Jungkook's words sounded panicked, hardly able to get a breath in through his sobs at this point. "I killed my Jimin." He turned away from Taehyung and sobbed loudly into his palms, entire body shaking as he attempted to get breaths in. "Jimin... Jimin I'm so sorry."

"Taehyung, he's had enough." Yoongi spoke worriedly, Taehyung's eyes fixed on Jungkook as the younger began to claw at his chest, seemingly unable to get any air in. "He's panicking Taehyung, he's had enough."

Taehyung quickly nodded, sliding over a bit so that he could face Jungkook once more.

"Jungkook, hey." He spoke softly, resting one of his hands on the younger demon's shoulder. "Deep breaths, okay?"

"N-No!" Jungkook exclaimed, voice extremely strained as he began to feel lightheaded from his lack of oxygen. "Don't touch me! I'm a monster!" Tears were still flowing down his face, and Yoongi would've told him he looked like a mess if the situation wasn't tugging at his heart. "Jimin was so beautiful and I killed him!"

"Taehyung." Yoongi spoke, and his tone of voice told Taehyung exactly what he needed to do.

He slid closer to the sobbing demon once more, pressing his fingers against the back of Jungkook's neck to weaken him once more. It was once he was compliant again, that Taehyung used his thumbs to close Jungkook's eyelids, cupping his face with his hands. He pressed his forehead against Jungkook's, shushing him softly until his felt the younger go limp in his arms, breathing even once again.

"I knew it was a bad idea." Taehyung mumbled, wiping the tears off of the now sleeping demon's face.

"But at least we got our answer." Yoongi sighed, looking down at Jungkook's peaceful expression.

"He does remember Jimin." Seokjin finished, voice sounding somewhat sad.

"It's just his subconscious." Taehyung breathed. "I'll bet you anything that when he wakes up he's going to revert back to his original demon state." He worried his bottom lip. "The guilt consumes him when he remembers what happened. He can't take the fact that he killed Jimin, although indirectly, so the memories stay in his subconscious. Jimin doesn't look like what he remembers, which is why he doesn't trigger the memories of what happened."

"This is such a mess." Yoongi groaned, running a hand through his hair.

"I can't help but wonder though, after what you just said..." Seokjin began, quickly gaining Yoongi and Taehyung's attention.
"If this is happening to Jungkook, it has to be happening to Jimin too, right?"
