*Lin's POV*

I quickly got Sebastian dressed and ready, and headed to Starbucks to meet Pippa.

The call didn't sound too good, so my heart was racing. I just hoped everything was okay.

We walked into Starbucks, and I scanned for Pippa.  I saw her sitting at a table, staring blankly ahead.

Sebastian and I gently walked towards Pippa. I set Sebastian down on the chair and walked over to my wife, I shook her gently.

"Pippa, baby?"

She jumped slightly and looked at me.

"Are you okay? What happened?" I asked softly as I sat down next to her.

She reached for my hand, and I gently held it.

"Lin? There's um. There's something wrong with one of the, the babies. I had my appointment and and she told me that one of them has developed a genetic disorder." Pippa said quietly.

In that moment, I felt my world stop again.

In that moment, I felt my heart sink again.

In that moment, my thoughts have become overwhelmed with all the possible ways something could go wrong.

Our baby, might not make it. Our baby, could suffer. Our baby, could struggle her entire life.

"Lin?" I heard Pippa ask again.

"It's gonna be okay. We're gonna be okay. She'll be okay." I said quietly.

Pippa looked down and shook her head

"She um, she gave me an option."

"What is it?"

"She said that if we don't want to take the risk of having something happen, we could, um, we could abort it."

My head started spinning. We tried so hard to have kids. Why would she even consider this?

"Isn't it obvious? Clearly, it's a no. Pippa, we can't do this." I shook my head.

Pippa sighed and looked down, still.

"It's not really your decision, Lin."

"What?"

"You're not the one who has to carry these children for nine months. You're not the one who will breast feed them, and take care of them."

"I won't take care of them? Are you kidding me?"

"I didn't mean it like that, Lin."

I pinched the bridge of my nose and sighed as I shook my head.

I let out a deep breath and looked at my wife.

"Coffee?"

She shook her head. I nodded and got up, then proceeded to the line to get myself a drink.

*Pips POV*

I sighed as Lin got up. I looked at Sebastian and miffed a smile.

That smile quickly faded once reality hit me again.

I tried to push the thought away, but it was no use.

The truth was going to come out, and it was coming soon.
