At STAR Labs

Barry was in the med lab analyzing the thing from a week ago.

Caitlin walked in and said, "Barry? What are you doing?"

Barry says "I'm doing a quick analysis of the Symbiote."

Caitlin asks "The Symbiote?"

Barry looks over and says "That's what I'm calling it because it bonds with its host at a molecular level. And it enhances their hosts' strength and agility."

Caitlin says "Is that a good thing?"

Barry turns to her and says "Usually, no. But, I haven't found anything that's harmful about it."

Caitlin nods and says "Okay."

Then Barry stood up and the symbiote crawled on Barry and it disappeared into his clothes.

Caitlin says "Barry, I don't think that you should be wearing this suit or Symbiote."

Barry says "If anything happens, I'll take it off. Okay?"

Caitlin nods.

Barry sped out of the lab and went home.

Later at an Ice Skating Ring

Barry asks "You ready for this?"

Nora says "Dad, I'm just-- I'm not fast enough yet."

Kallie says "Uncle Barry, I'm not fast enough yet either."

Barry says "No backing out now, this is the biggest race of your life. Get ready, set, go!"

Nora says "Not really. Dad, Dad-- Wait, wait!"

Kallie and Nora say in unison "Oh, God."

Delsin and Barry were racing on the ice keeping up with each other.

Samantha chuckles at Delsin and Barry.

Nora yelped and Cecile and Samantha slid over to help their daughters.

Cecile says "Gotcha."

Nora says "This is so embarrassing. I'm really good at the ice skating game on my Pocket Pal!"

Cecile says "Okay, you're just gonna bend your knees..."

Nora says "Kay."

Cecile says "And lead forward a little."

Nora does that and Cecile says "Just, yeah."

Nora gasps and Cecile says "Yeah."

Nora says "I'm doing it."

Cecile says "You're doing it."

Nora says "I'm skating. This is like Schway City, Mom. Thanks."

Cecile says "Yeah."

Nora was laughing.

Barry and Delsin come sliding over and Barry says to Cecile "Look at you guys. You're such a mom."

Cecile says "What? What about you? You're the one who sprang for ice skating and game night."

Barry says "Yeah, well, I know when Nora got hurt, I got a little frustrated. And now, I mean, we have an actual plan to stop Cicada."

Cecile says "Waking up his niece to appeal to his heart."

Barry says "I know Dwyer's a killer, but he's still a person, and he loves Grace just like we love Nora. So I don't know. I just feel like everything's heading in the right direction."

Ralph shouts "Here I come. Coming in. Here we go."

Cecile saw the helmet and said, "I'm sorry, why are you wearing a helmet? I thought you were made of rubber."

Ralph says "Somebody's gotta set a good example for these kids."

Caitlin says "Well-- I thought you grew up on the ice."

Ralph says "Well, I did, basically, my mom dated a Zamboni operator, so..."

Then Sherloque comes sliding up to the team and says "And I tell you where I'm from we don't date Zamboni drivers. Why is that? Because there are no Zambonis. How do we clear the ice? All winter long, we are on our hands and knees with a squeegee in hand. Let me tell you. Best eight months of the year for this guy." and he skates away from the group.

Ralph says "It's a really great story, Sherlock."

Sherloque says "Sherloque."

Ralph says "You know, speaking of squeegeeing, you know who could use a good squeegeeing is Larry Blumenthal. He's dead."

Cecile says "Larry Blumenthal is dead?"

Ralph says "Yeah."

Cecile says "The patent registrar across the hall from you with the 400 square footage--"

Cecile and Ralph say in unison "And the courtyard views?"

Ralph says "Yeah, dead as a doornail. Iris could have that place if you want it. Hers to rent."

Cecile says "What? Oh, my God. This is perfect for Iris."

Sherloque came skating back in and said, "Oh, my package has arrived."

Caitlin asks "What package?"

Sherloque says "This is the solution to all our problems. Allez, les amis. We must go."

At STAR Labs

They were gathered in the Cortex and Sherloque says "Madames et monsieurs, may I present to you La Machine à Mémoire, or as they say in Amérique, you know..."

Cecile interrupts "The Memory Machine."

Sherloque says "Oui, Cecile. Memory Machine. Many times... I have entered into people's minds using this very technology. From the unfortunate comatose victims of the Summerholt Institute to, yes, Jervis Tetch himself, the Terrible Mad Hatter Killer from Earth-1021."

then a voice says "I come back from Tannhauser for one second, just borrowing a splicer for the meta cure and what do I find? This, this--"

The team turned to see Cisco standing in the lab over to their right or Sherloque's left.

Sherloque says "Machine à Mémoire."

Cisco says "Whatever. How did you even get this here from Earth-1021?"

Sherloque says "Well, I used the Forerunner Multiversal Delivery Service. You don't use it? You don't have a gold card like me? Maybe I'll get you a discount."

Barry says "We don't need a discount. All right, we just need to wake up Grace. This'll wake her up, right?"

Caitlin says "So in most coma patients, high-traffic areas of brain activity go dormant and the low-traffic areas spring to life, but unfortunately, Grace isn't normal. Not only has her coma lasted longer than the average, but her consciousness has isolated itself into one specific region, her long-term memories."

Sherloque says "It will be so facile, easy peasy for you. All you do is you transmit your brainwaves into Grace's memories, right? And then you'll lead her consciousness out of the neural nexus portal. And Grace awakens."

Ralph says "It's sort of like when Barry woke me up when the Thinkerer trapped me." 

Cecile says "Surprisingly, that sounds kind of easy peasy." 

Caitlin says "As long as Grace's unusual brain damage doesn't cause any unforeseen risks."

Sherloque says "This is why I suggest you travel in pairs when you're using this technology. Every time I enter into someone's memories when I use this I went with my partner for sure."

Cisco says "Your partner's name didn't happen to be Watson, did it?"

Sherloque says "No, his name was not Watson. His name was Watsune. Yes, together we went through dozens of minds, together-- until one time I found myself in a memory of a motel room in Montreal where what do I find but Watsune in flagrante deli in an interpersonal relationship with my wife, fourth wife, but still."

Nora and Kallie say in unison "You're saying you could see your partner's memories?"

Sherloque says "It's a possible side effect of traveling in pairs. And speaking of which, which pairs would like to volunteer for this mission? I suggest the speedsters for this to be accomplished so quickly. Or The conduit himself."

Barry says "Yeah."

Sherloque says "Elected."

Barry says "Hey, if you see a memory of me stealing a blank Scrabble tile it's not what it looks like, all right?"

Delsin says "Sure, buddy." and he taps his shoulder, but when he does a tentacle comes out of Barry's clothes and knocks Delsin back into the wall.

Delsin groans and Barry runs to his side and says "Delsin! You okay?"

Delsin groans even more and says "Why'd you attack me?"

Barry says "I didn't mean to. It was an accident. I'm still getting used to this suit's abilities."

Barry holds his hand out for Delsin and he grabs it and pulls him up.

Delsin says "Okay, just be careful, Barry."

Barry nods.

Sherloque says "Let's get back to business. All that is left is to connect this transceiver disc to Grace's EEG and we can transmit."

Barry says "Great."

Sherloque says "Right." as he walks away.

Barry says "All right, first thing tomorrow, we save Grace."
