Amber's P. O. V

I could feel someone squashing my nose repeatedly. I squirm a little and it stops for a few seconds before it starts again. I turned my face away and feel hot rays burning my skin. I immediately turn back around because the sun is too strong for me to handle.

"Good morning Amber."

A voice I feel familiar with, speaks up in my ear and I jerk up. My head spins slightly because of the action and it's warmer than it should be in the morning.

That's when I realise that I'm not at home, but in India.

"What's the time? Did I sleep in too late?" I ask Ayana after I pin point her voice mentally.

"Not at all, it's quite early actually."

"Oh, so can I go back to sleep? I'm like really tired," I ask and move my hand around to find something soft on the bed.

"That my girl, is Krisanne's ass," Ayana comments and I immediately withdraw my hand.

"About waking you up, I'm sorry but I had to. You're supposed to be roaming with me today since Rey and Kris are going for a tour around Mumbai and Kris will be teaching Rey everything. So, I rescued you from a boring lecture and all educational trip. You don't mind right? If you want to go with them..."

"No no no-" I shake my head profusely in denial."Third wheeling in a geeky discussion is my last intention."

"Good. So common, get ready, we are going to the nearby sports club."

"Why? I mean I remember someone mentioned that this society complex has a pool..." I voice my doubt.

"Yup, we do but the pool is small. The club pool is bigger and better. Besides, society pool is out of access before ten," she explains and I sigh.

I so didn't want to get out of bed today.

"Okay, I get it now. You want to sleep?" she asks me like she magically read my mind and I nod.

"Okay fine. But it's our little secret and you have to promise me you won't wake up before I come back?" she asks me with a mischievous glint in her voice and I chuckle before showing her the thumbs up.

"Come on," she pulls on my arm and I narrow my eyes but follow her lead.

"Uh- didn't we agree that you would let me sleep?" I ask her and she chuckles.

"Yeah Amber, don't worry. The thing is, once Krisanne wakes up, she is not letting anyone in that room remain sleeping. I'm just shifting you to my room," she explained and I nod my head slowly in understanding.

"Your room?" I ask and she sighs.

"Yeah, my four year old self's room. My parents renovated it before they died. We can't really sleep here though, there's just a single bed, not enough space for three people."

I'm again left, feeling guilty as ever. Last night also I asked her again before I remembered that Vihaan had also told me about her parents.

"Hey sister, hey sexy," my brother comments and we pause in the hallway.

"Hey douchebag," Ayana says from my side and I chuckle.

"Fine, be mean. One day you will see my love for you and come running to me. Well, that's for later. For now, is Krisanne awake?" my brother asks.

"Nah. But she's a light sleeper. You can wake her up easily. Best way to do is tickle her on her legs," Ayana suggests and I hear footsteps walking away from us.

"You're brother is going to get kicked in the face today," Ayana whispers and I laugh out loud when I understand what she just did.

"You do have a funny way of waking people up," I comment and she laughs evilly.

She stops and I hear a door clicking open. She pulls me by the arm gently and turns me into the room.

She set me on the bed and I immediately lied down and relaxed down.

"Bye bye, sleep tight."

"What the fuck Krisanne, what is wrong with you!"

Vihaan's faint screams wake me up. I sigh and sit up straight.

I think that's the end of my sleep for today.

I move to get out of bed and find for something to support and guide my way. My hand clashes into something in the process and the next thing I know is that I hear a clattering sound which seems louder than normal because of the eerie silence.

I somehow find the table end and walk ahead, carefully place every step. For now, I wish I had my stick.

The table comes to an end and I stretch my hand to come in contact of the wall. My finger tips brush against the surface of the wall and I use it to keep walking ahead till my nose bumps into something.

Finally the door.

I open the door and suddenly I run into something or something runs into me. I lose my balance and I feel myself falling backwards when two strong arms enclose themselves around my body.

"Oh my god Amber! It's you! I thought I was going to fulfill my childhood dream of fighting a burglar." Vihaan says, sadness in his voice and I roll my eyes at him.

"You were scared."

"No, I was just alert."

"Its okay Vihaan, your secret is safe with me." I say and walk around him, after his hands slowly remove themselves from around me.

"Weren't you supposed to be with Ayana?" he asks and I shrug.

"I didn't go and if you want me to shut up about you getting scared, you will have to shut up about me staying back."

"Woah! One day with Ayana and you're already so feisty," he taunts and I smirk.

"Well I am pissed because I haven't got enough sleep just yet. What are you doing here?" I ask him and he mutters under his breath.

"What?"

"Krisanne locked us in."

"Oh."

"What? That's how you react? You just got locked in?" he asks me, shock evident in his voice.

"Nothing new for me."

"This way, come on I'll show you," he finally offered me help after I moved slower than a turtle trying to find my way around.

He swiftly guides me and brings me to a halt.

"Here, this is the girl's room. Do what you want."

I nod and his phone rings.

"Ahh, you called. Don't even-"

He answers the phone and starts off but stops suddenly and I can hear someone talking on the other side.

"Really Ayana, you're bringing her here?"

It's a filler chapter, I know. But there is not going to be much activity happening in this book on the general, except towards the end off course.

This book is my base for the future three books on these characters. They are like complete character understanding and learning the background of those three stories.

So look out for the minute details. They will become interesting factors in the future :)
