Chapter 20

1k guys and #60 on the humor hot list *does the Happy dance* thank you so much to all of you for all the support :)

Krisanne's P.O.V

"Thivathananrurampu," he says and I run a hand down my face.

"No Rey, it's Thiruvananthapuram. I know it's difficult but you have to remember it. You're already learning only half the capitals. Kerala is an important state, you need to know about it," I explain to Rey who has his hands in his hair, ready to pull them out in frustration.

He sighs and puts his head on the table."Why is the name so big and complicated?"

"They are not difficult and complicated. It's just that their Indian names, it's kind off obvious for you to find them difficult to remember, just like some Indians find foreign names difficult to remember," I explain and he grabs a pencil before making circles with it on the paper.

I bite my bottom lip before coming up with the conclusion."Okay fine, let's shift to a more interesting topic and then we'll come back to this later, okay?" I ask and he nods, a wide smile on his face.

"Come on, let's go," I say and get up to walk towards my favourite place, the kitchen.

"I like it already," Rey comments as soon as we enter the kitchen. I walk to the fridge, hoping that Carlos must have brought whatever I had asked for.

Luckily, I found all the delicacies in the fridge, coming straight from the hotel.

I removed them one by one and placed them in front of Rey, who looks at them with wide eyes.

"Okay, I know I love food but you don't really expect me to eat all of this, do you?" he asks and I smile at him.

"You'll have to taste all definitely. Don't worry about finishing them, I'll help and the others will be coming home too so they wouldn't mind eating it."

"Okay, so Ms typical Indian girl," he says sarcastically, mimicking my tone from last night,"what do I start of with?"

I ignore the second part and cross my arms on my chest, raising an eyebrow in question."Excuse me? Are you making fun of me?"

He shrugs and starts opening one of the dishes."No offence, but yeah, I am making fun of you. Well, you cant blame me, you said that as if Indian girls come from a whole different planet."

I roll my eyes and settle down on the chair beside him."Well, we are not from a different planet but we are very different. Infact, girls from different countries are bound to be different. When I said I'm a typical Indian girl, I meant I'm brought up differently."

"How differently?" he asks and crosses his arms on his chest.

"Like yesterday, you mentioned that my reaction is so different from other girls when you were wearing boxers. The thing is, that when guys become shirtless, or any kissing scene comes up on screen, the first reaction of the Indian parent is to change the channel or get us to cover our eyes. Even with guys on the posters, we have to behave nonchalant about it or something is considered wrong with us. Hence, I told you to cover up instead of oogling," I rant and he narrows his eyes, analysing me with his gaze.

"So you ideal Indian girls don't supposedly have boyfriends, right?" he says and I sigh.

"Well, things have changed alot but yeah, there are still some parents who don't want their children to have a love life. The ideal Indian girl normally wouldn't have a boyfriend if her parents don't like it, because they won't lie and they're generally very obedient. Though, ofcourse, there are Indian girls who have a love life that's hidden from their parents. So yeah, that's about it..." I trail off after over explaining the entire situation and he's smiling at me, amusement clear in his face.

"Okay, so which food dish do we start off with?"

****************************

"Okay, last time the order. The first one we had was rashogulla which is from West Bengal, dosa from Tamil Nadu, Vada Pav from Maharashtra, makia ki - something from Punjab, Biryani from Andhra Pradesh, and-" he says and stops, giving me a blank look.

"Khandvi and Dhokla from Gujurat, Momos from Nagaland, Malai Ghevad from Rajasthan," I finish for him and sigh, putting my face in my hands.

"My country has 29 states, I'm giving you only the easiest and most popular eight to remember, you have to remember these at least!" I say and he huffs out.

"There are other members on the team, can't they just handle all this?" he says and I roll my eyes.

"It's not going to be in your hands. What will you do if they pick you up for a round which will have this? You need to know something at least..." I say and he nods.

"Okay, how do I eat this and which state is this?" he says pointing at the dal and chapatti.

"This one is common man's food. It's eaten all over the country and is the staple diet for the middle class. Here, you're supposed to eat like this...," I explain and tear a little piece of the chapatti before dipping it in the dal.

I move close and raise my hand to put the chapati in his mouth, because it's not possible for me to hand it over to him to eat. He opens his mouth wide and I place it in, making sure I don't touch any part of his mouth. I'm about to pull my hand out when he closes his mouth, trapping my fingers in.

My eyes go wide and I look at him to see him looking at me carefully.

His tongue brushes on my fingers, making me shiver in response. I pull my hand back immediately in response, turning my back to him. I move to the sink and wash my hands immediately.

How dare he pull such a dick move on me!?

"Krisanne, your necklace fell down," Rey says from behind me and I look over my shoulder on the floor to see its not there.

I look up to see him examining it in his hands. I move ahead and snatch it from him, examining it on my palm.

I glare at him, suddenly irritated that he touched my locket. He realises my irritation and puts his hands up in surrender.

"I'm sorry," he said and I nod stiffly.

"Don't touch it next time," I say.

"That's not what I'm apologising for," he says and I look up to him, understanding what he meant.

I smile slightly at him, letting it go.

Atleast he understood I'm uncomfortable and he apologised.

A/N- Finally day three guys :D

Starting with Krisanne's P.o.v and I'm hoping to finish it in one or two chapters itself because they'll mostly be studying or swimming and stuff so I don't want to stretch on that too much.

Anyways, enjoy :)
