Inevitable // Chapter 8

Delilah Bates
I wake up in my bed, tears streaming down my face. Chandler has finally help me put all of the missing pieces about my past together. What caught my attention over everything was my mother, my real mother. Cara Calista, if that's even her name, is just someone my father sent to look over me while he lives his life at home.
This endless void settled in my chest once I realized my birth mother has died while giving birth to me. I was big sobbing mess by the time Chandler described that moment, yet I found myself smiling through my tears as he described my mother to me. So beautifully magnificent.
My beautiful mother I'll never get to meet, and share mother-daughter moments with.
Based off of all that I've gathered, my mother Calista Vassilades was not only the most beautiful of them all, she was an extremely powerful and ruthless vampress when it came to protecting the ones the loves, while at the same time managing to be seen as the most compassionate and caring person. Extraordinary was she.
My father Vincent Bates, the most dominant Alpha in the entirety of these werewolf species, was there at my birth. He wanted to "protect" me from the truth, from living to my fullest potential.
Being the daughter of these two extraordinary people made me a pure bred; The most "powerful and unique" hybrid alive. That fact right there was unheard of, and that scared them. They feared of what I'd become. Yet, even through all the deceiving lies and secrets, I still manage to find out the truth. I've been hidden from my true identity for eighteen years.
I will reach my fullest potential and with the help of Chandler find my father to share a few words and show him everything he missed out on.
I climb out of bed, wiping my face. I'm soon overwhelmed with emotions, unable to settle on one; I'm angry at my father, morning my mother, worried about Cara, determined to reach my fullest potential. I fist my hands into my hair as the room starts to spin, my teeth grinding together. I'm on the verge of collapsing when I hear footsteps.
It sounds to be around 4 people running, the pounding ringing louder in my ears with every second. All of a sudden the synched rhythm of eight patters on the ground turned into a stampede. I run towards the sound, my front door, and swing it open. A yard or two in front of me are three wolves and Tony racing towards me. It didn't take a genius to figure out who the three wolves are.
I reach to close the door when the biggest wolf snaps its jaw at me, followed by Tony's voice piercing through the night.
"Delilah, get out of there!"
I raise my brows in confusion. Before I have a chance to react, something searing hot wrapped around my legs and arms.
I never changed out of Zoe's dress, I'd been so exhausted. Now I regretted the decision as I wanted to do nothing more than to tear out of it and whatever is wrapped around me.
My insides felt as of it were on for, melting and my skin, extremely sensitive and raw. It feels like my skin is dropping off my bones. The longer I stood there in shock the stronger the agonizing sensation grew. My teeth ground so violently together, I fear they might have broken by now. I bite my tongue to keep from crying out, and my vision blurred for a second. My muscles spasmed and my legs bucked beneath me when the rope form of torture squeezed tighter.
I look down and sure enough, is a rope with flowers and silver lining entwined in it, slicing through my skin.
I scream out I'm agony, no longer able to bear the pain, the sound of Zoe, her parents and Tony nearing the house is what makes me look up in hope. Tony was arms length away from me.
They never made it inside to save me though. The door was slammed shut, not by me, but by the mysterious person who suddenly picked me up and carried me through the back door. I could barely move yet I still fought, weakly, against this person. My body felt completely drained and weakened, my eyes struggling to stay open. I lost this battle and fell into what felt like an endless darkness.

I open my eyes immediately focusing on my surroundings, trying to find the culprit behind this whole shenanigan. I'm seated in a very uncomfortable metal chair, the room barely lit up by the dull lamp in the corner.
When I go to stand my action is restrained. By cuffs linked to both me and the chair that I soon learn is bolted down to the flow when I try to knock it over. A grunt leaves my lips as I struggle in vain, trying to free myself.
"Delilah." a raspy, seductive voice purrs. The sound carries, caressing every wall in the confined room. My head turns left to right, no one. I could sense their presence lurking in the shadows.
"Who are you and what the hell do you want?" I seethe. Whoever they are better have one hell of a reason for tying me up and kidnapping me from my own home.
A sultry laugh echoes throughout the room, sounding as if she was standing right next to me. "Call me" A beat of silence passes, but I can still feel her hovering "Cameria"
"Okay, Cameria." I spit. "Where am I and why am I tied up...again?"
"Because you have something that I want." she purrs. Before I can ask what is she talking about the lights shut off for a split second before turning back on and I have to hold back my scream as a woman now stands before me. She's a tall, slim yet curvaceous woman with dark hair and blue eyes. She was scarily a near mirror image of myself. What scared me the most was the words she uttered next. "I want my throne."
I easily mask my confusion, refusing to show this psycho any sign of weakness. "I'd hate to damper this whole fiasco but I think you have the wrong person."
Her long, slender fingers trail from my cheek to under my chin. She digs her finger into my skin, forcing me to tilt my head back to meet her icy blue eyes, for a second I could have sworn they turned silver. A sickeningly sweet smile covers her perfectly structured face. "Now, I think a lady can remember what her own niece looks like."
It took a moment, but when her words finally sunk in my eyes widened in disbelief, "No."
"Yes." She counters, stepping back to give me full view. "The one, the only, Aunt Cameria a.w."
