she needed a hero, so that's what she became

ARIA FROWNED, a towel pressed on her wound. "We're like like sitting ducks in here," she complained, needing to do something.

"Yeah, I know." Dean nodded. "Would it kill these cops to bring us a snack!?" He shouted loudly, aiming his words at the doorway.

"How many you figure are out there?" Sam asked his brother.

"I don't know."

"However many they are, they could be possessing anyone. Anyone could just walk right in," Aria stated, leaning her back against the cold wall, sighing.

"It's kind of wild, right? I mean it's like they're coming for us. They've never done that before." Dean smiled. "It's like we got a contract on us. Think it's because we're so awesome? I think it's 'cause we're so awesome." Aria chuckled lightly, shaking her head at his adorableness. The sheriff then came in and Dean turned to him, speaking in a mock southern accent, "Well, howdy, there, sheriff."

They stood up as he opened the cell door.

"Uh, sheriff?"

"It's time to go, boys." His eyes seemed to have darken at the sight of Aria, "and Aria."

The trio shared a look, it seemed that they finally found out who Aria was by testing her blood, seeing as they were all determined to not reveal her identity.

The trio stepped back as he stepped in.

"Uh... you know what?" Aria started, stuttering, her gut telling her to not trust the guy. "We're – we're just comfy right here. But thank you," she uttered, back pressing against Dean's chest.

Henriksen then walked in, narrowing his eyes at the Sheriff. "What do you think you're doing?"

"We're not just gonna sit around here and wait to die. We're gonna make a run for it," Sheriff stated, sweating heavily.

"It's safer here."

"There's a SWAT facility in Boulder."

Henriksen walked inside the cell. "We're not going anywhere."

"The hell we're not."

There was a shot and the sheriff fell to the floor, dead.

Sam and Dean maneuvered Henriksen, knocking the gun out of his hand, and the three of them worked together to push the demon's head into the toilet.

Sam began the exorcism quickly and efficiently.

Another cop came in, rifle aimed.

Dean quickly swiveled around on his knees, aiming the gun at the cop. "Stay there!"

Aria looked at Dean in worry, struggling with holding the demon down and as his head popped out of the water, he yelled out in pain, his face searing. Sam continued the exorcism as the two of them forced his head back down in the toilet.

"Hurry up!" Dean shouted.

Aria glanced at him, irritated. "We're trying, dingus!"

The demon lifted his head again, "It's too late. I already called them. They're already coming."

Aria shoved his head into the water as Sam finished the exorcism. Henriksen screamed as black smoke shot out of his mouth and up to the air vent in the ceiling. He fell to the floor, unconscious.

"Is he... is he dead?" Nancy stuttered out.

Henriksen woke up and coughed.

"Henriksen!" Sam exclaimed, leaning against the cell bars. "Hey. Is that you in there?"

Henriksen slowly sat on the bed, in shock and fear. "I... I shot the sheriff."

Dean looked around and cracked a grin, "But you didn't shoot the deputy."

Aria pursed her lips together to contain the snort that wanted to leave, glancing at Dean who winked at her.

"Five minutes ago, I was fine, and then..." Henriksen trialed off, eyes wide.

"Let me guess. Some nasty black smoke jammed itself down your throat?" Aria asked, pushing herself up into a standing position, putting pressure on her shoulder as it throbbed even more from moving around.

"You were possessed," Dean deadpanned, not bothering to soften the blow.

"Possessed, like..." the older man smacked his lips, "possessed?"

"That's what it feels like," Sam told him, almost smug, "Now you know."

"I owe the biggest "I told you so" ever." Dean gave Henriksen back his gun.

"Officer Amici." He stood up. "Keys..." the deputy gave him the keys. He unlocked the trio's chains and Aria sighed in relief.

"All right," Henriksen stood in front of them, determined, "so how do we survive?"

DEAN AND ARIA looked over the floor plans to the police station, Sam was drawing devil traps, Nancy was taking care of Aria's wound. The Argent girl smiled softly at her, feeling grateful. She then looked up to where they were gathering guns. "Well, that's nice. It's not gonna do much good."

"We got an arsenal here." They gave her a look.

"You don't poke a bear with BB gun. That's just gonna make them mad," Dean told then, making a face.

"What do you need?" Henriksen asked, glancing between the duo.

"Salt," Dean stated, "Lots and lots of salt."

"Salt?"

"What, is there an echo in here?" Aria questioned, looking around.

"There's road salt in the storeroom," Nancy softly stated and Aria nodded in her direction with a small smile.

"Perfect. Perfect. We need salt at every window and every door," Dean ordered. Henriksen and the deputy left. "How you holdin' up, Nancy?"

"Okay," the woman stated softly, frowning when Aria simply tilted her head at her. "When I was little, I would come home from the church and start to talk about the devil. And my parents would tell me to stop being so literal. I guess I showed them, huh?" She added a last piece of tape to Aria's bandage, "That should hold."

"Thank you." Aria smiled at her, teeth showing.

"Sure."

The deputy came in with bags of salt.

"Hey, where's my car?" Dean asked him, eyeing Aria who scooted off of the desk she had been sitting on.

"Impound lot out back."

"Okay." Dean stood up and went to walk away.

"Wait, "The deputy called out, "You're not going out there?"

"Yeah, I got to get something out of my trunk." He started walking away again.

"Dean?" Aria called out; he turned to her. "Be careful."

He grinned, "of course, sweetheart."

MINUTES WENT BY, and then Dean came rushing in, "They're coming! Hurry!"

Aria yelled in surprise as black spoke abruptly hit the window. She quickly reached over and grabbed Nancy's hand as the older girl screamed in fright. Quickly, the small group scrambled to the main office area where Henriksen was.

Dean tossed a gun to his brother and Aria who caught them, and clicked the safety off.

The lights in the main room flicker and it became darker. Dust rained down from the ceiling as the building shook, then the smoke seems to disappear and it became quiet again.

"Everybody okay?"

"Define "okay"."

"All right, everybody needs to put these on." Dean handed out necklaces, giving everyone one except themselves. "They'll keep you from being possessed."

"What about you, Sam and Aria?"

The boys lowered their shirts, showing their matching protection symbol tattoos on their chests. Aria held up her wrist which held the anti possession charm on a bracelet that she wrapped around multiple times so it would be hard to get off of her.

"Smart," Henriksen complimented, "long you had those?"

"Not long enough," Sam told him.

"The boys wanted me safe and we really haven't had the time to stop and actually get the tattoo for me, so this was the safer bet," Aria stated with a shrug.

"Hey, that's Jenna Rubner," Nancy spoke, looking out the window.

"That's not Jenna anymore," Sam said with a frown.

"That's where all that black demon smoke went?"

"Looks like," Aria states as she turned to stare at all the people standing around the building, scared but ready to fight.

ARIA WAS TALKING to Nancy when a loud crash was heard. They all ran into the hall where the deputy was; Ruby stood there covered in blood.

Aria was getting real tired of seeing that demon at this point.

"How do we kill her?" Henriksen asked, sweating, pointing his gun at Ruby.

"We don't," Sam told them.

"She's a demon," the older man stated, eyeing Ruby.

"She's here to help us," Sam said, lowering Henriksen's gun, walking closer to Ruby.

Aria scoffed, shaking her head. "Are you kidding?"

"Are you gonna let me out?" Ruby questioned Sam, breathing heavily. Sam scratched the devil's trap on the floor with his knife. "And they say chivalry's dead." She scratched her head. "Does anyone have a breath mint? Some guts splattered in my mouth while I was killing my way in here." She walked away, saying her hips.

"HOW MANY ARE aout there?"

"Thirty at least," Ruby said, "that's so far." She sat down on a desk, turning to them.

"Oh, good. Thirty. Thirty hit men all gunning for us," Dean retorted sarcastically.

"Who sent them?" Aria asked, crossing her arms, standing near Dean.

Ruby looked to Sam. "You didn't tell them?" They all looked to Sam, confused. "Oh, I'm surprised."

"Tell us what?" Dean asked angrily.

"There's a big new up and corner. Real pied piper," Ruby told them as Sam stayed quiet.

"Who is he?"

"Not he. Her," Ruby emphasized, "Her name is Lilith."

"Like the..." Aria trailed off, pursing her lips at Ruby's nod.

"And she really, really wants Sam's intestines on a stick. 'Cause she sees him as competition," she stated, glancing at Sam with a pointed look.

"You knew about this?" Aria asked Sam, frowning, brows pinching together. "Well, gee, Sam." She ran a hand through her hair.

"Is there anything else we should know!?" Dean exclaimed, glaring at his brother in disbelief.

"How about the three of you talk about this later?" Ruby said, rolling her eyes. "We'll need the Colt." Aria cleared her throat and looked away. "Where's the Colt?"

"It got stolen."

"I'm sorry. I must have blood in my ear. I thought I just heard you say that you were stupid enough to let the Colt get grabbed out of your thick, clumsy, idiotic hands," Ruby snapped, basically snarling at them. She stood up abruptly, "Fantastic. This is just peachy..."

"Ruby..."

"Shut up." She raised her hand, turning her back to them. "Fine. Since I don't see that there's no other any option. There's one other way I know how to get you out of here alive."

"What's that?"

"I know a spell. It'll vaporize every demon in a one-mile radius. Myself included. So, you let the Colt out of your sight and now I have to die. So next time, be more careful. How's that for a dying wish?"

Aria tilted her head, smiling a little at the thought of her dying.

"Okay, what do we need to do?" Dean asked, eyeing Ruby.

"Aww... you can't do anything," the demon smacked her lips. "This spell is very specific. It calls for a person of virtue."

"I got virtue," Dean countered.

"Nice try. You're not a virgin."

Dean laughed. "Nobody's a virgin." Everyone turned to Nancy who was shakily crossing her arms. "No. No way. You're kidding me, r–. You're..."

"What? It's a choice, okay?" She countered.

"So, y-you've never... Not even once? I mean not even – Wow." Dean looked astonished. "What about you Aria?"

The girl in question rose eyebrows, shocked. "I'm totally not a virgin." She crossed my arms, remembering that one magical night with Stiles. He was the only person she did anything with. She came close to doing it with Aiden once, but stopped it because she knew that she didn't love him the way she loved Stiles. And she wasn't about to give Aiden false hope.

"So, this spell. What can I do?" Nancy smiled at Ruby.

"You can hold still ... while I cut your heart out of your chest." Ruby took a step closer to Nancy.

The religious girl stood up straight, "what?"

Aria was quick to step between them, pushing Nancy protectively behind her. "Are you crazy?!"

"Hell no!" Dean shouted, standing in front of Aria and Nancy.

Ruby rolled her eyes in annoyance, "I'm offering a solution."

Aria growled at Ruby. "You're offering to kill somebody."

"And what do you think's gonna happen to this girl when the demons get in?"

"We're gonna protect her. That's what," Henriksen told Ruby angrily.

"Very noble," Ruby mocked. "You're all gonna die. Look. This is the only way."

"Yeah, yeah. There's no way that you're gonna–"

"Would everybody please shut up!?" Nancy shouted at the top of her lungs, and everyone turned to her in shock. "All the people out there... will it save them?"

Ruby smirked at Aria and Dean before placing her attention on Nancy, saying, "It'll blow the demons out of their bodies. So if their bodies are okay... yeah."

"I'll do it." Nancy nodded.

Dean spat out, "Hell no," at the same time Aria said, "You don't need to do this."

"All my friends are out there," She told them, eyes big and sad, but also determined.

"We don't sacrifice people," Henriksen intervened, shaking his head. "We do that, we're no better than them."

"We don't have a choice."

Aria pointed her finger angrily at Ruby, "Yeah, well, your choice is not a choice."

"Sam, you know I'm right," the demon turned to Sam, giving him a pointed look.

They all looked to Sam who stayed quiet.

"It's my decision," Nancy told them, and Aria shook her head with a frown and frustrated tears gathering in her eyes.

"Damn straight, cherry pie."

"Stop! Stop! Nobody kill any virgins!" Aria yelled out, and then paused in surprise. "Wow, I never thought I'd say that... again."

THEY ALL DECIDED to not sacrifice Nancy and came up with an alternative. They all got in their positions, broke salt lines, devil traps and opened up the doors.

At first, nothing happened but then all of a sudden, Aria was knocked off her feet and punched in the face. She gasped, getting pushed up against the wall, hands around her throat. She grabbed the flask from her back pocket and threw it at the demon who was trying to kill her. And as the demon dropped her, she picked up the gun she ended up dropping in the ruffle, and ran to Dean, shoulder burning. She aimed the him and started shouting.

No matter how many demon's she shot, they just kept coming.

The small huntress glanced up, noticing a pipe. She sighed, tilting her head side to side as she draped the gun over her shoulder. She shook her hands out in front of her before jumping, catching onto the pipe. She swung herself up and steadied herself up on it like she was on monkey-bars. She then started shooting, backing up both Henriksen and Dean.

The demons didn't notice her up there, confused on where the bullets were coming from.

Aria looked into the main room down the hall, spotting Sam being surrounded by demons. She groaned. but jumped down from the pipes, landing on her feet, but did a quick roll, and started running.

She came up behind a demon, raised her gun and hit it hard in the back of the head in the soft spot back there, making it go unconscious. She ran over to Sam, pressing her back against his as she started helping him fight the demons. And somewhere along in the battle, her gun was knocked out of her hand and she had to use the hand to hand combat skills that she learned from her father.

Everything stopped all of a sudden and they were pushed back into the brick wall.

Aria grunted, the pain in her shoulder intensifying. She looked to the brothers in panic, hoping their plan works out. "Henriksen, now!"

A moment later, Sam saying an exorcism went through the intercom; all the demons started screaming in pain.

Aria smirked through the pain at them suffering. And before the exorcism could finish, they all escaped the bodies, made a big black cloud on the ceiling, it flashing purple before it turned into a bright fiery color and exploded.

The duo fell to the floor and looked at one another, their loud puffs of breath being the only thing they heard.

THEY WERE IN a motel room, trying to recover from everything that had happened when Ruby all of a sudden barged in, saying, "turn on the news."

Sam complied.

"The community is still reeling from the tragedy that happened just a few hours ago. Authorities believe a gas main ruptured causing the massive explosion that ripped apart the police station and claimed the lives of everyone inside." Aria's eyes widened in shock and sadness. "Among the deceased, at least six police officers and staff, including sheriff Melvin Dodd, deputy Phil Amici, and secretary Nancy Fitzgerald as well as three FBI agents, identified as Steven Groves, Calvin Reidy, and Victor Henriksen. Three fugitives in custody were also killed. Sam and Dean Winchester and Aria Argent. We'll continue to follow the story here at the scene, but for now, back to you, Jim."

Aria slowly looked to the others, eyes wide. "Oh, god."

"Must have happened right after we left."

"Considering the size of the blast." Ruby tossed them hex bags. "... smart money's on Lilith."

"What's in these?" Sam asked.

"Something that'll protect you. Throw Lilith off your trail... for the time being, at least."

"Thanks."

"Don't thank me," Ruby snapped, "Lilith killed everyone. She slaughtered your precious little virgin, plus a half a dozen other people. So after your big speech about humanity and war, turns out your plan was the one with the body count. Do you know how to run a battle? You strike fast and you don't leave any survivors. So no one can go running to tell the boss. So next time... we go with my plan." She left, leaving them to look at each other in sadness.
