𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐇 𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃
i want to go back to the way things were

FLASHLIGHTS IN HAND, the trio quickly walked through an alley before pausing briefly when they spotted a pool of blood. They glanced to one another, sharing the same thought, before approaching the blood, their light beams from the flashlights landed on a man lying on the ground, bleeding from his neck, but conscious. He had been bitten in the neck

"Hey, hey." Sam quickly crouched down and made eye contact with the man as he tried to find a way to stop the bleeding. "Don't worry. We're gonna call you some help, okay?" He reassured the man.

"Where is she? Where'd she go?!" Dean asked him, looking around. The man gestured vaguely down the alley. Sam stayed with the man as Dean and Aria rand off in that direction.

They stopped in the middle of another alley, seeing no one in sight.

An idea — stupidly dangerous idea — came to Aria's mind; she glanced in Deanna direction before pulling up her sleeve and raising the machete, quickly cutting her forearm just enough to draw blood.

"What are you doing!?" Dean hissed at Aria, his apple-green eyes focusing on the wound she had inflicted on herself, worry seeping into every bit of his body.

She ignored him, and although her arm was bursting with pain, she held it up in the air and waved it around like she was holding a flag. "Smell that?! Come and get it!" A young woman emerged from a side alley and stared at the duo; her chin covered in blood. "That's right. Come on. I smell good, don't I? I taste even better." The vampire approached cautiously. Aria dropped her machete. "Come on! Free lunch!"

"Aria!" Dean whisper-yelled, but kept his sights on the vampire.

The vampire charged. And as she grabbed Aria, she pushed Dean roughly against the brick wall, and sink m her teeth into the brunette just as Dean whipped out a syringe and plunged it into her neck. She fell to the ground, unconscious.

"Aria." Dean reached Aria who was breathing heavily. He presses his hands on the small bite wound on her neck, asking, "Are you okay?" She looked up at him, their eyes connecting.

Sam came barreling around the corner, his eyes widening at Aria bleeding and Dean taking care of her. "Is she okay?!"

Aria jerked away from Dean, removing her gaze from his. "I'm fine," she dismissed, pressing her own hand against her neck.

THEY WERE BACK in their motel, the old mattresses lined up against the walls of the room. The vampire is tied to a chair.

As she came to consciousness, she looked around.

"You with us?" Dean asked as she woke up fully, struggling against her bonds. "Oh, yeah, sorry. You're not going anywhere."

"Where's your nest?" Sam asked, narrowing his eyes at the vampire.

"What?" She asked, confused, blinking her eyes repeatedly to come to her senses.

"Your nest... where you and your bloodsucking pals hang out," Dean spat out, glaring at the girl.

"I don't know what you're talking about!" The girl cried out and the trio shared a look, rolling their eyes. "Please! I don't feel good."

"Yeah, well, you're gonna feel a hell of a lot worse if we give you another shot of dead man's blood," Dean threatened, practically growling.

"Just let me go," She begged.

Sam laughed. "Yeah, you know we can't do that."

"I'm telling you the truth. I'm just... I took something. I'm freaking out! I don't know what's going on!"

Aria tilted her head at the statement. "You took something?" She asked, narrowing her hazel-green eyes.

She started freaking out. "Yes! I can't... come down. I just want to come down."

"What's your name?" Aria asked gently, feeling sorry for the girl.

"Lucy," She replied, tears skidding down her cheeks as she look toward Aria. "Please. Just let me go."

"All right, Lucy, how about this? If you tell us what happened, we'll let you go," Sam soothed, giving the girl a small, but forced, smile.

"You will?" She looked at Dean, who nodded and smiled in a completely insincere way, shooting Sam a confused look. "Uh, I don't really... um, it's, it's not that clear. I was at Spider."

"Spider?"

"The club, on Jefferson. And there was this guy... he was buying me drinks."

"This guy... what's he look like?" Aria asked, crossing her arms against her chest.

"He was old, like thirty. He had brown hair, a leather jacket... uh, Deacon or Dixon or something. Said he was a dealer... he had something for me," She explained, beginning to hyperventilate.

"Something?"

"Something new. 'Better than anything you've ever tried.' He put a few drops in my drink," she informed them, quoting his words.

"Was the drug red and thick?" She nodded. Dean gave Sam a look who shook his head in disbelief. "Well, genius move there. That was vampire blood he dosed you with."

She paused, breath catching. "What?"

"Yeah, you just took a big steamin' shot of the nastiest virus out there," Aria commented, remembering what Dean and Sam had told her about vampires. But, maybe she shouldn't just go by their words — Allison had once done that with Kate's words and came out wrong and manipulated.

"You're crazy!" She yelled out. "He gave me roofies or something! No... The next thing I know, we're at his place, and he says he's gonna get me something to eat, just wait. But I get so hungry."

"So you busted out?"

She nodded. "But it won't wear off... whatever he gave me?"

"Lights are too bright? Sunshine hurt your skin?"

"Yeah... And smells. And I can–" She paused as her eyes seemed to unfocus before snapping toward the now patched up wound on Aria's neck. "— hear blood pumping!"

Dean narrowed his eyes. "Well, I hate to tell you this, sweetheart, but your blood's never pumping again."

She shook her head. "Not mine... yours." She looked up from Aria's wound, to her eyes. "I can hear a heart beating from half a block away. I just want it to stop."

Dean clenched his jaw as he took a step in front of the tiny brunette. "All right, listen, Wavy Gravy. It's not going to stop. You've already killed two people, almost three," he told her, glancing down at Aria, his hand moving to her waist to assure him that she is there and that she's okay.

She started sobbing. "No, I couldn't. No—! I was hallucinating!"

"You killed them, all right? We've been following a sloppy trail of corpses, and it leads straight to you," Dean pointed out, his voice sounding gravely.

"No. No, it wasn't real! It was the drug! Please! Please, you have to help me!"

Sam cleared his throat, gaining Dean and Aria's attention, gestured to the door, and they all stepped outside. "Poor girl," was his automatic words.

"We don't have a choice." Dean walked back inside the room, his machete out, ready.

"No... please!" There was a scream and a thump.

Aria swallowed thickly, her eyes closing tightly.

THE TRIO EXITED SPIDER; the club Lucy had told them about.

"That was a big, fat waste of time," Dean spoke in frustration.

"Look, three blondes have gone missing, including Lucy, all last sighted here. I'm telling you, Dean, this is the hunting ground," Sam told his brother, sighing.

"It's like that night when that guy and Brittany kidnapped me," Aria commented, wrapping her arms around herself when she recalled that night. Sam pointed at the brunette and nodded.

Dean pointed out a man who walked around the corner with a blonde, raising his brows.

AS THE MAN raised the dropper; the girl opened her mouth and stuck her tongue out to catch the drops. Before any could fall in, Dean grabbed the man's arm, pulled it down, and clocked him in the face. Sam pulled the girl away and shoved her towards the mouth of the alley.

"Get out of here. Go! Go!"

The vampire hurled Dean into a brick wall, then took off in a run, shoving Aria out of his way as he went.

The tiny brunette stumbled buy quickly caught her balance before running over to Dean to help him up. "Are you okay?"

Dean groaned. "I'm good. Come on." He grabbed her arm and they took off after the vampire, but as they hurtled around the corner, the vampire was nowhere in sight.

Facing them were two men with guns.

The men advanced, firing freely.

The Winchester brothers and Aria dove behind parked cars and somehow — very surprisingly — manages to avoid getting shot. They scurried over to a wall and crouched, panting.

"Who the hell are those guys?" Aria asked under her breath, laying her hand on her chest to feel her pounding heart. So much was happening so fast. Was it always like this with the Winchester's?

"All right." Dean sighed and glanced over at the men who had their guns aimed and looking for them. "Run. I'll draw them off."

Sam and Dean turned to stare at him in bewilderment, the former exclaiming quietly, "What?! No, you're crazy!"

Ignoring them, Dean darted out into the line of fire, leaped on top of a car and used it to get over a second-story parking lot entrance. As he did that, Sam took Aria's hand and ran.

AS SOON AS DEAN entered the motel room, Aria exclaimed, "there you are!" And jumped up off of the floor, slapping him across his stupidly perfect face. The room went silent.

"Oh, um, ow," He complained, rubbing his cheek.

"Where were you!?" Aria shouted, crossing her arms as she stared up at him, sternly. She was shorter than him by... a lot, but she definitely looked downright angry. Sam honestly didn't know she had that in her.

"Yeah. Sorry, I stopped for a slice." He smiled down at her, happy that she was concerned for him. Sure, she slapped him — it was a hella good slap too — but that only meant she cared for his well-being, and that made him all warm inside.

"Nice move you pulled back there, Dean running right at the weapons!" Sam scolded his big brother as Aria stood there, shaking her head.

"Well, what can I say? I'm a bad-ass," he commented. "So, I guess Gordon's out of jail."

"Did you just say... you know what — I don't care, the point is that you're an idiot," Aria told Dean with a scowl before his words registered in her head. "Wait, who's Gordon and why does he want to kill you?" She looked between the two brothers, raising a brow.

"We'll explain later, okay?" She nodded at Sam's words. "Uh, yeah, I guess so. You know, how the hell did he know where to find us?"

"That bitch." Dean pulled out his cell phone and dialed. "Hi, Bela."

"Oh," Aria mouthed.

"Question for you. When you called me yesterday, it wasn't to thank me for saving your ass, was it?" There was a moment before Dean spoke again, "Excuse me?" Another pause. "I don't know, maybe pick up the phone and tell us that a raging psychopath was dropping by?!" His voice was raised in anger. "He tried to kill us! He could've hurt Aria!" He looked at the brunette in concern. "There were two of them." A determined look appeared on his face. "Bela, if we make it out of this alive, the first thing I'm gonna do is kill you." He glared. "Listen to my voice and tell me if I'm serious." He hung up angrily.

DEAN SHARPENED HIS machete on a whetstone while Sam and Aria cleaned their own guns.

"That vampire's still out there, Dean," Sam stated with a small sigh as he looked over at his brother.

"First things first."

"Gordon."

"About that. When we find him, or if he finds us... Well I'm just saying he's not leaving us a whole lot of options," Aria stated as she looked at the brothers. Since she actually has taken a great liking to them, she doesn't like the idea idea of someone hurting them.

"Yeah, I know. We've got to kill him."

"Really? Just like that? I thought you would have been like," Dean started speaking in a mock-whiny voice. "No, we can't, he's human, it's wrong."

Sam shrugged. "No, I'm done. I mean, Gordon's not gonna stop until we're dead... or till he is."

Dean's cell phone rung; he looked at it, scowled, and picked up angrily. "What?!" He closed his eyes. "You're a hundred miles away. How the hell did you–" ah. It's Bela again. "And?" His eye twitched. "Thanks." He looked down at his phone, confused.

THE TRIO CREEPED down the steps into the room where bodies of girls were hanging, headless, and the vampire is kneeling in front of them. Dean took a knife from the table and approached him slowly.

"Go ahead." They stopped their movements at the sound of his voice. "Do it. Kill me."

"What happened here?"

"Gordon Walker. I never should have brought a hunter here. Never. I just... I just wanted some kind of revenge. Stupid... exposing him to my family," The vampire stuttered sadly.

"Oh, yeah, you're such a family man," Aria spoke sarcastically. Her heart ached at the word family. Like it always has since the moment her sister took her last breath.

"You don't understand."

"I don't want to understand, you son of—"

"I was desperate!" The vampire yelled. "You ever felt desperate? I've lost everyone I ever loved." Aria gulped, looking down. "I'm staring down eternity alone. Can you think of a worse hell?"

"Well, there's Hell."

"I wasn't thinking. I just ... I didn't care anymore. Do you know it's like when you just don't give a damn? It's like ... it's like being dead already." Aria paused, recalling a time when she didn't care. "So just go ahead." He looked down at Deans knife. "Do it."

"Dean. Aria." Sam looked toward the corpses and then at his brother and friend, his eyes widening slightly in thought. "Head wasn't cut off, it was ripped off. With someone's bare hands. Dixon, what did you do to Gordon?"

DEAN AND ARIA barricaded the doors and windows as Sam lit a bundle of sage. Then, Dean's phone decided to ring.

"You've had that phone two hours, Dean. Who'd you give the number to?" Sam asked his brother, a crinkle forming between his brows.

They took a seat beside Dean.

"Nobody," He answered. "Hello?" He turned to face us. "How'd you get this number?" He smirked in what looked like satisfaction. "Well, I guess you'll just have to find us, won't you." His smirk widened. "What's the matter, Gordo? You're not afraid of us, are you? We're just sitting here. Bring it on!" His face morphed into concern. "Gordon, let the girl go." Aria eyes widened in realization. "Gordon! Don't do this. You don't kill innocent people. You're still a hunter."

THEY FOUND THE hostage and was quick to untie and comfort her. "Hey, we got you. Don't worry. We're gonna get you out of here." Sam helped her up. "Get up. Watch your head. Watch your head."

She was sobbing and could barely walk, so Dean slung her arm over his shoulders and picked her up.

"Aria, Sam, stay close." Dean glanced back at them before focusing on helping the poor girl.

Aria picked up her speed a little.

They stuck by closely, but not closely enough, a mechanized door suddenly slid down in front of them, cutting Sam and Aria off from Dean and the girl.

"Sam! Aria!"

They pounded and kicked at the door, to no avail.

"Dean!"

"Damn it, Sam!" Dean cursed loudly, anger and feta laced in his voice. "Aria! Be careful!"

Sam grabbed Aria's hand in his as they slowly turned around to face whatever was about to happen.

The lights then turned off.

A small swishing noise could be heard beside her, and Aria knew that was just Sam preparing his machete, so she gripped hers more tightly in her free hand.

"Gordon! You got me where you want me. You might as well come out and fight!" Sam took a step forward, loosening his grip on Aria's hand, making the girl quickly grab onto his jacket.

"I'm right here, Sam." Aria jumped as Gordon's voice came behind them. She swung the machete, it swished through the air and didn't make contact with anything. "What's the matter, Sammy?" He chuckled.

"So, this is really the way you want to do it, huh?" Aria's voice wavered, trying to swallow the lump in her throat. Something bad was about to happen.

"Damn right I do." There was a pause, the air thinking around them. They were being hunted like prey. "You have no idea what I faced to get here. I lost everything. My life. But it's worth it, 'cause I'm finally gonna kill the most dangerous thing I ever hunted." Beat. "You're not human, Sam."

"Look who's talking," Sam fired back.

"You're right." Gordon chuckled menacingly. "I'm a bloodthirsty killer."

"Don't talk about it like you don't have a choice," Aria said, her grip on Sam's jacket tightening.

"I don't."

"Yes, you do, Gordon. You didn't kill that girl," Sam responded.

"No, I didn't. I did something much, much worse."

"Dean," Aria whispered in realisation, about to turn around to find him when Sam grabbed her wrist.

"I got to hand it to you, Sam. You got a lot of people fooled. But see, I know the truth. I know what it's like. We're the same now, you and me. I know how it is walking around with something evil inside you. It's just too bad you won't do the right thing and kill yourself. I'm gonna... as soon as I'm done with you. Two last good deeds. Killing you, and killing myself."

Aria was thrown straight through a wall, her back hitting the ground hard. She groaned and rolled over, her machete no longer in her hand.

She watched helplessly as Sam picked up his own machete and was flung across the room just like she was seconds prior.

Gordon turned his attention Aria, but she watched as Dean snuck up behind him and pointed the Colt at the back of his head.

But Gordon grabbed Dean's arm and flung him across the room, then pinned him against the wall in the blink of an eye and sunk his teeth into his neck.

"Dean!" Aria cried out.

Snatching up the razor wire from the floor beside her, she scrambled to her feet and rushed over to Gordon while he was preoccupied with Dean.

She wrapped the razor wire around Gordon's neck and pulled, gritting her teeth as her hands began to sting where the wire dug into her skin.

Yet, she pulled as hard as she could until the wire sliced through his neck and his head tumbled to the ground.

Aria dropped the wire, holding up her hands to stare at them in shock. The panicked voices of Sam and Dean faded into the background.

Her first kill. And she knew that it wasn't going to be her last.
