Unconscious Will
Izuku opened his eyes, once again within the vestige realm. The predecessors cheered upon his return, smiles on their faces.
"Way to go kicking One for All's ass kid!" Daigoro exclaimed, giving an enthusiastic thumbs up.
"Excellently done." Hikage commented with a smile.
"Most impressive." En added.
"Izuku that was brilliant!" Nana said happily.
"Perhaps there is hope yet." Yoichi mused with a smile.
Two and Three merely nodded in acknowledgement, although Three looked pleasantly surprised, and Two was contemplative.
All Might's shadow gave a feeling of pride.
_________
The Will set the small disk onto their desk, watching as a holographic screen lit up before them.
"Booya, I am here as a projection!!"
Eight was teaching at UA this year, of course they'd have him do the acceptance messages. They tuned out his theatrics for the moment, instead sending their focus inwards.
Izuku Midoriya, the Ninth had been quiet ever since the entrance exam. Had they been any normal person, The Will would have dismissed what happened as a fluke.
They weren't any ordinary being though. What happened hadn't been ordinary either.
For a few seconds, just a single moment, Izuku Midoriya had a stronger will than 8 people combined. Those 8 people had all been greatly determined individuals in their lives, most of them heroes, all of them hardened warriors.
Yet this fourteen year old child had out-willpowered every last one of them.
"You scored an impressive 79 Villain points on the practical, putting you in first place, congratulations! Not only that, but your heroic stunt to save young Uraraka earned you 60 Rescue points, giving you a grand total of 139 points!"
The Will nodded, satisfied with their results. With this they would grow stronger, stronger to the point of killing their so hated nemesis.
___________
Inko was worried. Ever since her baby came back from the exam he'd been.. different. Quieter, more reserved. He'd barely spoken more than a handful of sentences to her ever since the exam.
There was little she could do about it for now, except support her son.
___________
The Will walked into UA impassively once more, this time with the uniform on their person. They wandered the corridors for a few minutes until they came across classroom 1A, opening the door and stepping inside without hesitating.
"Take your feet off the desk this instant!"
"Huh? Who are you, damn extra?"
The Will ignored Bakugo and the boy with the speed quirk, instead heading for their seat directly behind the arrogant blonde.
"You there!" The engine boy exclaimed, staring at them. "I am Tenya Iida of Somei private academy!"
"...Izuku Midoriya." The Will replied with the Ninth's name.
"Midoriya, you divined the true meaning of the exam, did you not? I hate to admit it, but you are the superior candidate here!" Iida said.
The Will was about to turn back towards his desk, when they were interrupted once more by a voice, this time behind them.
"It's you, lightning boy!"
They turned to face the girl Izuku had saved during the exam.
"I never got to thank you for saving me! That punch was awesome!!" She exclaimed, thrusting her first up and down in an imitation of Izuku's 'Smash'.
"Don't thank me." The Will said. "My body moved without my input."
"But still-!" The girl continued.
Floor. Hero. Bag. Erase.
The Will looked down at the man in the sleeping bag, catching his exhausted gaze. The hero just raised an eyebrow before speaking up.
"If you're here just to make friends I suggest you leave."
___________
They stood silently on the field, their uniform replaced with the school PE kit. The rest of the class chattered amongst themselves quietly as Aizawa set up the equipment.
Uraraka hadn't given up on pulling The Will into cheerful conversation, but the pink girl with the acid quirk had snatched her attention momentarily.
Eventually, Aizawa was finished.
"Alright Midoriya, you scored the highest on the entrance exam. What was your furthest ball throw in middle school?"
They searched through Nine's memories for a moment before coming up with a number.
"58 meters."
Aizawa nodded.
"Alright, step into the circle and throw this ball with your quirk. Anything goes, just don't leave the circle."
They nodded, ignoring Bakugo's growling, taking the ball and stepping into the white circle painted onto the grass. Emerald lightning erupted around them for a moment, fading away once the ball was thrown faster than most eyes could follow. Even only 8 percent was too much for a normal person to follow.
The tablet in Eraserhead's hands beeped, signalling that the ball had landed. He turned the screen towards the class, displaying 684.2 meters.
There were several exclamations of surprise and awe, followed by several comments about how fun the test was going to be.
"You think this is going to be fun? Then let's raise the stakes... Whoever scores the lowest overall will be judged to have no potential and will be expelled by the end of the day." Aizawa said with a wide grin.
__________
Around two hours later, the tests were finished. Aizawa displayed the overall results on a holographic screen, letting the students find themselves.
The Will had achieved first place despite their disinterest. Yaoyorozu, the creation girl, was second, followed by Todoroki, then Bakugo.
The invisible girl, Hagakure, was last overall. Ashido and Uraraka moved to comfort her before Aizawa grinned.
"As for the expulsion.. no-one's going home! It was a logical ruse to get you to give it your all in the tests!"
The Will knew that statement was false. The hero had been deadly serious when giving the threat, something had changed his mind.
The class was dismissed, and the being puppeteering Izuku Midoriya's body walked away without a word.
