I honestly have no idea why this story is getting so many reads. Probably because it's a fanfiction. But thanks? If I have any silent readers on this (which, according to the numbers, seems very likely), become unsilent. I enjoy some constructive criticism now and then.

"Jesus Christ," Claire muttered to herself, placing the palm of her hand on her forehead.

"It's going to be fine," Zara replied almost instantly. "It's not going to be the end of the world."

"I know..." Claire replied, shaking her head lightly. "But... you know."

Claire couldn't look Zara in the eyes. Despite knowing this day had been coming for months, she still hadn't completely mentally prepared herself for it. Why did it have to be today, of all days? So many meetings, checkups, calls. She didn't have time for this bullshit! Hmm... maybe bullshit was the wrong word. But it's not like any of this was convenient for someone like her.

"You're going to be fine," Zara smiled, patting Claire on the back- who accepted the gesture with an uncomfortable look on her face.

"Yeah, just hope they don't drain every bit of energy out of my system," she sighed, looking down at her watch. It was 0607 in the morning, she had to finish breakfast by 0630, and be at a checkup on general park management by 0700. Zara would usually accompany her throughout the day- and it was nice to have a friend be by your side when dealing with more... stressful businesses. But, today, they'd have to be separated by 1000, since that was when she had her dreaded meeting with the investors, and she was not permitted to bring Zara. The break of routine did not reassure Claire at all.

"You'll impress them," Zara smiled.

"The indominus rex has to impress them, not me," Claire grumbled.

"Look, I'm going to meet with you right after that. It's just an hour."

"Yeah. I know," Claire took in a deep sigh, then looked over at the coffee machine. She'd need a hell of a lot of it to push through this day.

For the record, Zac and Grey will not have a role in this story. The movie is already such a mess, but they only made it messier. Yes, I still hate Jurassic World.
