Background:

Nothing much was known about Ryeo. General information according to his NCIS file is that he was born in Busan, South Korea and was raised both there and on US soil. Former Special Agent of the National Intelligence Service(NIS) of South Korea turned into a full pledged NCIS Assistant Special Agent in Charge. 

His father, former Rear Admiral to the US Navy Samuel Whitlock. The former Rear Admiral commanded a small group of ships under his command and saw extensive actions throughout his career One that he found love, was stationed in a US Military Base in the South was of Chun-Bo Yun, a South Korean Officer similar to his high ranking position. Chun-Bo Yun gave birth to both son and daughter respectively Ryeo Lee Whitlock and Su Hye-Yun who both later on got into law enforcement. One as an NCIS Special Agent and a Secret Service Special Agent

In South Korea where he grew up, he got conscripted into the military due to the Military Service Act of Korea once turned 18. Because of his military background, he aced KATC and other courses. This turned heads from National Intelligence Service(NIS) of South Korea who invited him to be a Special Agent to them. Of course with more training to meet the standard skill set. and Ryeo agreed. After 4 years of training and qualifications, he got into NIS serving there for a decade on International affairs, Domestic affairs, and North Korean Affairs. It was also this time he did a joint operations with the 707th Special Mission Group becoming close friends to one another. After a decade of his work, he quit his job to be with his parents now at the states and it was at that time where he went to follow his father's footsteps, joining the Navy.

Ryeo thanks to his background as NIS Special Agent, easily applied but went instead the investigative branch of it, NCIS. Topping both CITP(Criminal Investigators Training Program) and FLETC (Federal Law Enforcement Training Center), he quickly finished the course and became Agent later on. Till he was at his 40s, he was stationed around the globe mainly in Far Eastern Field Office/Southeast Asia Field Office and it's Resident Unit South Korea(where he met former friends from NIS and had an extensive and successful run where cases where solved with 100% efficiency takes to effective coordination with NIS), Japan, Indonesia, Philippines then became Special Agent Afloat a Carrier. After years of dedication, now he became Assistant Special Agent in Charge constantly bouncing around the US in Norfolk(Quantico/NCIS HQ), Los Angeles(San Diego), New Orleans(Mayport) and Hawaii(Pearl Harbor).
