Very outgoing and enthusiastic, Cheerful, serious when he has to be, loud, humble and kind, sometimes shows jealousy, childish, full of energy and excitement, he is protective and always willing to help, but also is depressed under all of this positive emotion.

Backstory:
As a child, Yatsuyama didn't have it all made for him. Yes, of course he was of royal family, but what does that matter without any family love? He and his sister would be treated badly each day of their lives, however, he would get it worse because he stood up for his sister. Everyday was a battle for them. On one particular day, his sister had gotten in trouble at school. This angered his parents so they thought they would teach her a lesson. Their parents proceeded in locking Yatsuyama in a different room, all the while taking his sister, Rena, into the room beside him to beat on her. Yatsuyama had tired everything in his power to escape the room, but unfortunately he wasn't able to. When his parents finally let him out, he rushed to the next room as quickly as he could...only to be greeted by his sister, lying in a pool of her own blood and wheezing. There was blood all over the walls and floor. Her body was shaking and you could already see the bruises forming on her. They had completely diminished her frail body....

"Yama...?" Her voice was barely audible...yet so soft. "I love you...please get out of here...wh..while you still have time..."

Those had been her last words towards him before she closed her eyes and stopped breathing.

For the next 5 days, Yatsuyama sat there,holding her dead body in his arms and staring at the wall. He was empty inside, but also sad. His sister's body began to smell as it decayed, her he resisted to move and leave her. He hadn't come out that room, not even to eat, occasionally hearing his parents argue about Rena being dead. From what he could hear, she wasn't supposed to die,just hurt really bad...now his mother wanted to leave because she didn't want the blame to be put on her...

It had been 10 days since that night his sister died,and 5 since his mother left. Now he was all alone with his father. Occasional beatings had went on that day...but by night, officers had invaded the home, looking to place Yatsuyama in a mental institution. His father had blamed the incident on him. Of course authorities believed the adult before the child. Fortunately for Yatsuyama, he was able to get away and hide in the woods, where he fended for himself and hunted animals to eat.

Years later, he came across a young women with long white hair and pretty eyes...however when he found her, she was beaten down and bleeding all over, close to death. Yatsuyama decided to take her in and help her out, later on building a friendship and community with her. Over time they had grown very close to each other and Yatsuyama developed feelings for the women...however, he grew jealous when her and an old friend reunited one day. He thought he would lose her to him...and he'd be forgotten and all alone again.

So...Yatsuyama resorted to darkness and eventually became consumed by it...ultimately leading to his death by his most loved friend...

It hadn't been long before his soul was intwined in a beautiful cherry blossom tree in the heart of his own village, where he had been loved and accepted. There, he was happy...finally at last, he was truly and fully happy.

Scenario 1:
You lived in the same village Yatsuyama had lived in too and you were able to see his beautiful tree everyday...but then everything changed...the shadow woman had invaded your village and tainted with his tree, making the tree wither away. Yatsuyama however, seemed the same. Only he wasn't...he had lost his memory of ever being here or what actually happened. He thought he was still alive.

You saw him roaming around the village, trying to ask people for help, but all they got were chills and never gave him a response...you realized that they couldn't see him, judging by the way they had reacted to his 'presence'.
You saw him about to approach you, do you try and let him know if the horror...lie to him, or walk away while you can?

Scenario 2:

Yatsuyama died...he died two years ago and you remembered it, you remembered the tree and the messages that the village put under it...you remembered it all, it couldn't be a dream!

But somehow today, Yatsuyama was still roaming the area, alive as day. And..the tree, it hadn't been there at all. No one had been traumatized by his death just yet, but this particular day seemed liked deja vu...

Things played out the same way it did before, and Yatsuyama died yet again, the tree was there yet again...when you woke up the next day, it happened all over again.

Somehow, the world had began to repeat that same day for you...never missing a step of trama...just restarting when you fell asleep.
