Dunstan Gaios
Dunstan Gaios is a druid guardian from medieval times. From the day he was born that future was destined for him. He was trained to be a warrior in mind body and soul. He would be the one to protect the magic users and priests of the druid clan.
That all changed when he lost his arm. Dunstan had been out on a hunt with some of the other warriors when they were attacked suddenly by bandits. Dunstan had managed to save his brothers life at the cost of his own arm. After this he was seen as weak and unfit for his role as head warrior. That was when he was 18. He tried to stay with his people for a short while after but found himself being shunned and left out. He left the Druids as soon as his wound had healed.
Dunstan continued to train himself in intent to go back and show his people that he was just as powerful without two arms. He may not be able to use a bow, but he could still throw a spear. He could still swing a sword. He could still cast magic.
He survived in the forest alone until he met a traveling caravan of tradesmen. Their cart had broken and Dunstan helped them repair it then made his way to the nearest town with them and later continued to travel. Dunstan cares strongly for the trader Zekiel and his fair daughter Gwen, the tradesmen he travels with.
Dunstan is a hard person to read and yet he is very intuitive. The dull look he often walks around with lead many to think he is a dark and emotionless soul. The missing arm makes him appear weak. In truth he is quite the opposite. If he doesn't view you as a threat, he will be very kind and friendly. He is very prideful but it is not an easily wounded pride and does not form into an ego. He refused to talk about his past most of the time, simply saying a memory or a missing arm means nothing when it comes to his strength. He is an undefeated warrior of the land, though not a well known one, and he doesn't intend to let anyone break the peace of the cities he travels between.
Scenario 1: you were said to be a vessle of one of the gods or goddesses. At the young age of five a few druid priests had come to your house and informed your parents of that. With little argument from your family, you were handed over to the Druids yo be raised in the proper way of such a vessle. You were to stay pure, proper, and open to the gods should they ever need you. It was, on the one hand, a life full of luxury. On the other hand, it was a life of boredom. You weren't allowed to leave your room unless it was to eat with the others or pray (which you had to do five times a day). You were not supposed to speak either. That could form thoughts about you that may reflect poorly on the gods should they ever use you. I'm anger at such strict and meaningless rules, you ran away. Eventually you found your way to a town. You realized you knew nothing about life outside of the druid village and decided to try to find food or lodging for the night. In the dark you couldn't see too well and stumbled on a loose brick of the walkway only to be caught by a strong arm. You turn to thank whoever helped you and are met with a familiar sight. It's Dunstan Gaios. He looked at you with as dull a face as ever yet you could tell he reconized you. What do you say?
Or make one up!
