History: When Octavia was 12 years old she ran away from her father because he was being so cruel to her. She wanted as far away as possible so she traveled to district 12 where she befriended the Mellark family and they left her to stay with them. Now 4 years later when the reaping came she gave blood and at first the peacekeeper was confused when her name wasn't on there but then found that it had been added to the bottom. She was placed in a line like everyone else and the reaping began. A young girl no older than 12 had been announced and she immediately volunteered. She never believed a girl that young should be forced to fight for her life. She never wanted to see her father again but she didn't want the girl to die and was determined to avoid her father as much as possible, she hoped he didn't remember her.
