The guy in the neighboring hotel room and I were concocting a plan to get the people on our side. He agreed to join our cause because of something with his....sister, I guess?

"You know that it will be very risky, right? There's a lot at stake here." I said.

"Since when has anything not been easy?" he replied.

*Time Skip-Let's seize the day!*

"Alright, it's almost time. You're up." the voice on the walkie talkie replied.

"Okay. Are you sure this will work?" I asked.

"It's got to or we will never win." The voice replied.

I took a deep breath. It was time to do this. The gates to town were slowly opening and the market would soon be up and running.

"Open the gates and seize the day.

We were approaching the palace when a horrifying sight caught our eyes. There was a giant barricade ahead! The looks in the people's eyes showed that they would not back down. We continued on.

"Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Beyond the barricade is there a world you long to see?
Then join in the fight that will give you the right to be free!"

We began to raise our torches high and set the barricade ablaze! It was the greatest and biggest bonfire we had ever seen! A few guards appeared on the castle walls, but some ran away.

A shower of arrow rained from the walls. We used the burning barricade to our advantage and hid behind it. A few unfortunate fellows were hit before they could make it.

The flames gently licked my skin as I stood behind the burning barricade. I looked to the fellow next to me. The look on his face seemed to say "What do we do now, sir?". I drew my sword and gave him a nod. The lad seemed to understand and did the same.

"On my count!" I shouted above the flames. An echo of the same thing came from the castle wall.

"1, 2, 3!"

At that moment, we ran towards the gate with swords in hand. When we saw them coming, we knew it was too late.
