You guys! I want you all to be aware of operation PrideFall, which began taking place on June 1, 2020!

@everyone ATTENTION:
Hi there everyone, please read this announcement in full if you haven't heard about the situation yet.

In the next few days there will be an active operation called "Pridefall". This operation has been started by 4Chan members and they are targeting different social media platforms. It's if your best interest to keep yourself and your account safe during these times. Most of the operation will take place in random people's DMs.
What will they do?

They will:
- Send links of gore & extreme pornography in DMs
- Spam your DMs with racial slurs & extreme profanity
- Send links of IP grabbers and IP tracers
- and much much more

What can I do to protect myself?
- Go to your user settings and click on the Privacy & Safety section, now set it to the green text saying "Keep me safe".
-Scroll down and go to "Who can add me as a friend", uncheck all the boxes for now since people will be sending random friend requests.
- If you accidentally click on any link they send to you, make sure you have 2FA (2 factor authentication) on. Be extra careful with what you next to online, since they now could possibly have your IP.
- Spread awareness to other servers you own (You can copy this message and paste it in your own server)
- Go to your user settings once again, click on "Text & Images" and untick the following.

Please stay safe during these times and don't click on any links or any DMs from people that you don't know. If a friend is acting weird in DMs and sending random stuff to, be aware he /she could be hacked/compromised.

I'm not sure if operation Pridefall is actually going to take place, or if its just an empty threat, but it certainly does not hurt to be safe than sorry.

From what I have gathered, they are going to attack people on twitter, TikTok, instagram, discord and other social media platforms.

Tips you can use to stay safe are:

- Make all your social media accounts private

- take down any pronouns/sexuality pointers in your bio

-do not give out any personal info on social media

-STRONG passwords!!

-close DMs

-avoid raiders

-if you are an LGBT ally, please hide it for the month of June

(Tell friends and family about changes beforehand)

-If anyone you don't know sends you any links or messages, don't accept them

-deny any new friend requests for the month of June

Again, I'm not 100% sure if Pride Fall is taking place or if its a hoax, but I still want everyone to be aware of what may happen.
