I'm not sure if you guys know, but a couple months ago my fanfiction was stolen and so were many other stories from wattpad.

My fanfic was stolen by a Vietnamese website called truyen4u.net

I filed a copyright complaint ©️ and everything.

Since so many fics were stolen from wattpad, there is a high chance yours may be stolen too.

To find out if you your fanfiction or story was stolen, search "(title of your work) doc truyen" and see if your story shows up.

If not, awesome!

But if it does, then I'd strongly advise you to fill out a form for copyright infringement as well.

If you find your fanfic, don't log out or close the tab yet, copy and paste the url. This is so that you can find your story on their website again.

Then search wattpad.com/help/DMCA to find the copyright infringement form.

Then once you find the form, read the steps carefully and fill it out completely.

You will need both:

1. The link to your story on wattpad. (You can do this by finding your story and copying the url)

2. The url of your story on the doc truyen site. (Which you should have copy and pasted.
If not, search your story name and doc truyen again. Be sure to copy the link that time)

Paste both links in the appropriate box when filling out the form.

And fill out all information. For me it also asked for contact information and what's not.

Note: If we all report Doc Truyen, Wattpad can ban them, and others in the future may be safe from getting their fics stolen. So please fill out a report if you find your fic on the website.

Your story original is your property! You have to right to file for copyright infringement.

Please also note: If you file for copyright infringement for a story you didn't really write, or have permission from the author to post, you may end up in deep crap. :")

So only file if all rights to the story are yours.

Like my fanfic, I wrote it myself so I have the write to prevent it from being stolen.
