Prologue
*(A/N): Hey my little penguins and fellow readers, I am making this note for a sort of warning- I guess. I decided for this story I wanted to change the way I write this. If you're new here, you can skip pass me, but for this story, I have made a little more back story for the reader as well as plan to follow the storyline of the anime, which means that there will be altercations to some events. I haven't read the manga (don't persecute me, I don't have the emotional stability for financial stability to get addicted to another manga), but with that there is a lot of things that I don't know about Japan and how their lifestyle is there, so where I don't know I plan to improve. Knowing most of my readers are from America, this may seem very Americanized, and well, that on the cultural education I get in rural America. Moving on from that, my hope is to make this story longer and more detailed than my other stories, so I really hope you like this! In this story the reader is a transfer from America for the female's volleyball team. She is a second year, and you'll have to read the rest of the story to find out the rest!*
I had to get going. Coach is going to kill me if I don't get these forms in before she leaves. She's already been on my ass about everything else.
I frantically made it to her office and spotted her putting her stuff away.
"You're almost late," She told me.
"But I'm here, and it's all filled out, so I should be good to go," I smiled at her.
She didn't seem amused by me but took my forms. "We aren't doing another year of this. Stay up on your grades, too, you got it?"
I gave her a quick nod before leaving her office.
It was official. I was all good to go.
I made my way out of the school, passing by the gym, which was filled with noise.
Are the boys still here?
I quietly let myself in to see Dachi, Suga, and Tanaka in the gym with some of the other boys.
"What's going on here?" I asked, walking towards them with a smile on my face.
"(Y/N)!" Tanaka instantly yelled, rushing to give me a tight hug. "Oh, I've missed you. Are you here to play?"
"If you let me go, I'll tell you," I said, as he was squishing the air out of me.
"Put her down before you suffocate her," Dachi commanded.
Tanaka instantly put me down and gave me a small apology. "sorry...are you here to play!?"
I giggled a bit, "It's a little late now, but I can probably—"
"Boss, we should have (Y/N) play on the three-on-three. Then I can school her with everything I learned over the summer," Tanaka suggested.
"Three-on-three?" I questioned.
"We're having a three-on-three match with our first years this Saturday. There are two of them that don't play well with each other," Suga explained.
"Can (Y/N) be the third? Then this will at least be fun!" Tanaka asked again.
"Well...originally, I planned on it, but she can play with the other two first years, if that works for you?" Dachi asked.
"You know me, I wouldn't pass an opportunity to show Tanaka up for the world," I laughed.
"Oh, not this time! You won't even know what hit you!" Tanaka threatened.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah...you say that every time." I waved him off. "Anyways, I was just coming to say hi. I do need to head home, but I'll be there on Saturday."
"(Y/N), you know you're welcome to join us whenever, you know that, right?" Suga said to me.
I gave him a small smile. "I know. Hopefully, coach lets that happen."
"Grades?" Tanaka asked.
"Bingo," I responded.
"Well, keep up on that. We like having you around," Dachi responded, giving me a wholesome smile.
"Trust, I will. You guys offer better competition than the girls," I reassured him before leaving to go home.
