Chapter Seven
*Tsukishima's P.O.V.*
My eyes locked with hers as she walked out of the gym doors. I instantly glanced to Tadashi, praying he didn't say anything to her. But it was too late; he was already waving to her.
"(Y/N)!" he called towards her.
She looked away from me and smiled towards him, coming towards us.
"Hey guys," she smiled.
Tadashi said something with her, keeping a conversation between the two, but I wasn't really listening. I already knew that it was inevitable that she was coming with us, so I pulled out my phone and shuffled through some of the songs. Once I found one I liked, I put my headphones on, partly, was walked behind the two.
"You played really well today," I overheard Tadashi say to her.
She smiled back to him, responding to him. I tried my best to not stare at her, but at the same time, it was getting harder for me. She wasn't even doing anything annoying at this point, but I couldn't help but glare at the back of her head. There was something about her that just wasn't sitting right with me, and I couldn't determine what. She wasn't nearly as loud as the others, and she seemed much smarter than them. She wasn't a bad player, even if she was obnoxious about it-
"Tuskki, I think you played rather well today as well," she stated, catching my attention.
I instantly snarled at her, "I told you to stop calling me that!"
I watched her snicker a bit as Tadashi glanced between us, smiling a bit.
We didn't usually hang out with others, but Tadashi did seem to like having her around. I don't see why else he'd be so nice to her. All I could do was hope that this wasn't going to become a regular thing. I don't think someone that gets along so well with the other idiots could ever really be friends with us.
The two stopped in front of me, and I looked around to see that we were already in front of Tadashi's place. I was so stuck in my head about this idiotic girl that I hadn't even realized where we were. This also meant that it was about to just be the two of us again.
"You two have a good night. Get home safe," Tadashi waved off as he approached his door.
"Good night," (Y/N) cheerfully replied.
I couldn't help but glare down at her, but I quickly looked back to Tadashi go give him a nod goodnight. I couldn't help but notice the look of worry on his face as he looked to me, but he quickly looked back to (Y/N) with a reassuring smile before going inside, leaving us alone.
(Y/N) looked up at me to say something, but I cut her off.
"Don't say anything," I sternly told her.
She formed a small smile. "Wouldn't dream of it."
I instantly rolled my eyes at her. "C'mon let's go."
A faint smile remained on her face, but she didn't say anything else during the walk. I feared that she would have some smart comment to say on the way, but she didn't. She went on her phone a few times, but besides that, she walked in silence while I kept my music playing.
I would have never guessed she'd be so comfortable being so quiet.
She did look content with it too. I thought about being the one to start the conversation, but that was so out of place for me. But for once, I was the one uncomfortable in silence.
Luckily, my mental argument came to an end as we approached her place. (Y/N) turned and looked up to me, being the first time, she's looked at me since we started the walk. She held a small grateful smile.
"Thank you for walking me home," she said as she approached her front door. "You have a goodnight, Tsukki!"
There it is...
I could only help but let out a sign and shake my head at her, "Whatever, (Y/N) ..."
I looked back to see she still had her smile plastered on her face as she went inside her home.
Goodnight, (Y/N) ...
