2. Meeting Him Again

My alarm goes off, waking me up.

"Ugh!" I say groggily.

I look for my phone with half-open eyes, searching here and there on the bed. Frustratingly, I get up from it and look at my surroundings, trying to find my phone.

"Where the hell did it disappear?" I groan and pick up my teddy from the floor, finally finding my phone beneath it.

My eyes grow wide as I look at the screen. It's seven in the morning! My first class is at 8:20 and I have to reach there by 8 as it is the first day. Even if I try my best, I won't reach on time unless I fly or somehow teleport.

Oh shit, Ella! I'm sure she didn't wake up either. I call her, but she doesn't pick up, so I have no choice but to go wake her up. Quickly brushing my teeth, I rush out the door without taking a shower.

While waiting for the elevator, I tie my long brown hair up into a messy bun.I sigh as the door opens and enter inside. I press five and the door starts closing. An individual pair of white sneakers stops it midway, making it slide back, revealing the devil whom I wished to never see.

A smirk creeps onto his face as his eyes meet mine. He eyes me up and I do the same to him. He is wearing a black t-shirt, sleeves perfectly circling around his biceps, showing them off more prominently. A navy blue blazer hangs down on his left hand with matching pants.

He enters and his stare never breaks so I shoot him a glare before I press five once again. I keep tapping my phone on my left hand, willing the elevator to descend at the speed of light. I can't tolerate this guy for even a second.

************************************

I look at her intensely. A few strands of her hair dangle out of the bun. She is wearing her PJ's. Her t-shirt is of a light pink shade just like the blush that covers her cheeks everytime she looks at me. She sure has a taste in fashion. I'm positive she got these shorts because of the donuts drawn on them. In the past two weeks I've learned a lot about her. I was studying her all the time, her likes, dislikes, hobbies, almost everything about her. Now I know her better than herself. I've designed my room according to her liking and once everything is set, we will shift to my house, so she doesn't need to live in this shabby hostel anymore.

The door closes and I look at her as she keeps tapping the phone in her hand. I know she is annoyed, but her annoyance is my pleasure. I like her cocky replies, her attitude, her confident voice, her boldness. She's feisty yet cute. I love her so much. My eyes never leave hers and she shoots me a glare before shifting more towards the corner.

Turning towards her, I move one step closer. Her head tilts back as she looks at me in the eye since I'm 6'2 and she is around 5'6. She bites her small pink lower lip, forming deep cute dimples. She is my only one, my angel, my love, my world and I will never let her go away.

I place my hand beside her head and trap her between me and the wall. She gives me a murderous look which makes me chuckle. She acts all tough and strong, but in the past two weeks I've understood that she can't even kill an insect, let alone kill a human.

She looks away and I grab her chin harshly, making her look at me since I can't stand her eyes anywhere else. She shoots me a baleful glance, which makes my grip on her chin harder. I love her, but it doesn't give her the right to disrespect me.

Her face distorts in pain, so I let go of it as I don't want to hurt her... unless she makes a mistake.

"Morning, Mel. Going to uni like this?" I eye her up to down and joke about it, to ease the tension. But my insides boil as she keeps looking away from me.

"Mind your own business, Blake." She says defiantly. My name from her mouth sounds so soothing, but this doesn't change the fact that she is being rude. Nobody has ever dared to talk to me like that. But then again, it is not her fault. She does not know the rules yet. She will learn soon, very soon.

The door opens as we reach the fifth floor. She ducks in, but I grab her arm and pull her towards me.

"Don't you dare walk off from me!" I warn.

"Let me go. I'm already frustrated about being late." She says angrily and jerks her hand back, sprinting through the door.

If being late is the reason she is so worried, then you need not worry about that, Babygirl. I will take care of it. You are very precious and getting anxious does not suit you. You should only be happy and tranquil. You are Blake William's girl, just say a word and I will tear the world asunder for you.

************************************

Banging my fist on the door I call out to her. I glimpse at the phone to check time and instantly regret it. The door opens and I barge inside.

"This ain't time for sleeping, Ella. We're doomed! It's quarter past seven." I shout.
Her eyes shoot open as soon as she hears me.

"What the-"

"Curse later. Now get ready. I'll meet you at the main gate in twenty minutes. Bye." I interrupt her and rush back to the elevator.

I shower quickly and pick my outfit for today. A navy jumpsuit that has a crocheted bust along with a mesh neckline. I put on my silver cone heels and then put a long book and a few pens in my bag along with earphones. Lastly, taking a glance at the mirror, I straighten my long hair and set it free.

Locking the room, I quickly rush to the main gate and wait for more than ten minutes before Ella shows up. I look at her petite body as she comes running with her bag in hand.

"Someone has decided to make boys drool." She pokes me at the shoulder while batting her eyes.

"Look who's talking." I say scrutinizing her. She is wearing a black top which is tucked in the brown orchid pants along with cheetah print peep toes.

"Let's run to our doom." She jokes.

We both run to the bus stop which fortunately for us is just across the street. We get on the bus. I take a window seat and plug in my earphones while she sits beside me, scrolling through Instagram.

'Spring day by BTS' fills my ear and a smile forms on my face as memories resurface.

"BTS spring day will play." I demanded as we sat in the backseat.

"No, Blackpink songs will play." Rose retaliated.

"No, I'm your elder sister. You must listen to me." I squinted my eyes at her. She called for Mom, making her turn around.

"You decide, whose song will play?" She asked her with the irresistible puppy face.

"Melissa, let her play whatever she wants." Mom says.

"Dad.You decide the song." I smiled inwardly as I already knew his answer. Mom always sided with Rose since she's younger than me. We'd always been divided into teams, me and Dad on one side with Mom and Rose on the other.

"Neither BTS nor Blackpink." My dad said as he adjusted the rear view mirror. I pouted as he looked at me. Rose stuck her tongue out at me before looking outside the car window.

My phone vibrates startling me and I look at the notification. How come I didn't notice it earlier? Two missed calls and one text. I look at the time, it's 7:55 now and she called me half an hour ago. I open the message and read the text.

'Where are you? Reply ASAP.'

'I'm in the uni, Mom. My class will start in a few minutes. I'll call you in my free time. Sorry Mom. Love ya.' I feel bad as I text her back. I don't like to lie to her, but if I told her the truth then she would get anxious. And that is the last thing I want her to do.

My phone vibrates once again and I look at the notification expecting Mom's reply, but it's from an unknown number.

"Don't worry Baby. Everything is done. You won't be late to your class. No need to worry."

Loads of questions strike my confused brain. Who the hell is this person? And how do they know that I'm late? The bus comes to a stop and I feel my hand being grabbed by someone with a faint voice calling my name.

"Mel, Mel? Get your ass up."

In a flash, I realize that we have reached. So, I quickly grab my bag and mouth her a sorry as we step out of the bus. Should I tell Ella about the text? No I shouldn't. What if it's a prank, and because of this we run more late than we already are? Nevertheless, somewhere in the back of my mind, the text keeps replaying. I try to ward off this uneasy feeling but my instincts say otherwise.
