I opened my eyes to see a black and white world. I sighed softly and sat up on my bed. The room used to be lit up with colors but ever since I turned 14,I could no longer see the different colors except one. Green,like the color of grass and leaves in the early spring. I stood up and made my way to the kitchen. "Morning Mama." I said. "Morning sweetheart. You ready for school?" Mama said. I nodded softly before I smiled. "Mama why can't I see colors?" I asked. I already knew that answer but I still asked. "On your 14th birthday you will no longer be able to see colors. You will only see colors again once you hold hands with your soulmate. Until then the only color you shall see is the color of your soulmate's eyes." My mother spoke. I smiled as I glanced out the window. "So his eyes are green." I said. "And you have the most beautiful shade of [E/C] eyes." Mama spoke. A giggle left my lips as I walked out the door. I couldn't help,but wonder who my soulmate was. No one I knew had green eyes at my old school but maybe someone here will. Where is here? Royal Academy. I made my way to the soccer field and sat down on the hill. I loved to watch them play and with their green jerseys,they were the only team I could watch play in color. The goalkeeper shouted at some kid about staying focused and he rolled his eyes. Green eyes?!?! Could this new member of Royal Academy be the one I've been searching for. I was so lost in thought that I didn't see the ball coming at me. "Look out!!" A voice yelled before I was pulled out of the way. I looked up to see my savior and realized that he was the boy that the goalkeeper was telling to focus. "You okay." He asked. "Caleb you idiot." Someone said as he turned to the owner of the voice,the goalkeeper. "Hey I said I was sorry." The boy now known as Caleb growled. The other boy rolled his eyes and left. "I should go." I muttered softly. "You have beautiful eyes." Caleb said. I blushed and he smirked. "[E/C] eyes." I nodded. Caleb smirked again before he spoke. "Meet me here after school." The mohawk-haired male said. I nodded again as he ran back down to the field.

After school I waited where I had met Caleb that morning. "You came." The male said as he walked after to me. "Of course you're the only one who's eyes I can see." I said as I smiled at him. Caleb smirked and pulled me closer to him by my waist. I returned the smirk as I held out my hand. The boy grabbed it softly as our worlds lit up like the Fourth of July. His only pale gray skin turned into a pale tan and his dark gray hair turned into a dark brown with white highlights. I could only smile before he kissed me. It was a bit rough but also sweet,just like him. We pulled away from the kiss to catch our breaths before speaking. "I have finally found my soulmate." We said in sync before Caleb pulled me back in for another.
