Backstory:
Koharu is from a fairly wealthy family on her fathers side, her mother left when she was a child making her father spoil her to forget about her mother even if she did see her mother sometimes. Koharu and her father had been very close since that day. Her father became sick when she was 11 so she started to look after him as much as she could. She At the start of the main series he is healthy enough to look after himself giving Koharu free time to do what she wants. She didn't know what to do with it so she spent time with her cousin, Yui, playing soccer in their first year of junior high.

A short while before the main story Koharu had went to pick up her fathers medicine when she bumped into a boy, Gouenji Shuuya, she apologised to him but he had dropped something. She was going to call to him but he was gone, she started to look for him and stood outside of Yuuka's door without knowing. He opened the door which startled Koharu who fell to the floor. Startled, he blinked a few times then he apologised and helped her up, she explained that he had dropped this then she saw Yuuka. Gouenji seemed like he needed to get his pain off of his chest and without thinking he started to explain what happened. He didn't understand why he did but it just came all out, she comforted him and they went their own way.

• Is very good at cooking, she usually brings snacks into the club which the boys love.

• She was the manager of the middle school soccer team that Yui was on until her father got sick and left.

• When Koharu first met Yuuka, when she was asleep, she could feel just how worried Gouenji was about her. He had without thinking told her everything and she comforted him, they both went their separate ways after a while. Koharu was shocked when she saw Gouenji was the new transfer student in her class, in her second year. After class and Endou left she had went up to him and asked how Yuuka was. He then remembered who she was and said that she hadn't woken up, since that day they started to talk more. During season 3, when Koharu met Yuuka who was awake she fell in love with her. She had without thinking hugged the small girl who seemed to immediately like Koharu. Yuuka had asked Gouenji if she was his girlfriend making both of them blush, in the end it made them realise their feelings for each other.

• Koharu became a manager with Haruna after she watched the match with Teikoku. She was forced to be a manager by Yui but after a very short while she was happy to be a manager.

• In season 2 after everyone was defeated by Gemini storm the first time, Koharu had asked if she could help them. She told them she didn't have as much experience as Yui but she really wanted to help them if they would have her. Endou had happily said that she could join and she learnt fast.
