Friday night finally arrived and Elara stood outside of The Orpheum nervously. There was a crowd of people already surrounding the building, talking amongst themselves. The bands name was lit up above the doors, 'Julie and the Phantoms.' Elara was excited to see the band, but she was mostly looking forward to seeing the boy she'd met on the beach again.

As she stood admiring the bands' poster on the wall outside The Orpheum, a boy with long brown hair and tanned skin sidled up besides her, "cute aren't they?" He asked.

Elara stumbled back slightly in surprise that someone was speaking to her, "Elara, right? Hi, I'm Willie... Luke told me to look out for you." He grinned.

She nodded, "yes, that's me. How do you know them?"

"The drummer is my boyfriend." He smiled, pointing proudly at the poster besides them.

"Oh... did you know each other before you died?" She asked.

"No, no," he laughed, "I met Alex when he was just getting used to being a ghost."

Elara smiled, "and the others?"

"I met them just before I took them to the Hollywood Ghost Club... it's a long story for another time," He looked slightly glum when he mentioned it but soon perked up again, "I gotta go and see Alex, the band go on soon... see you in there!" He said as he ran off behind the building.

Walking into the packed Orpheum felt surreal, she missed going to live shows and the adrenaline she felt in the build up to when a band came on stage — she felt the exact same now, surrounded by people who were buzzing about the band.

Normally she'd end up at the back of a crowd, not being able to see but now that she was a ghost she walked straight through everyone to the middle of the crowd with a perfect view of the stage.

The lights dimmed and the crowd screamed as the girl she'd seen the other day who she assumed was Julie, stepped out and stood behind a keyboard and began to play a beautiful melody on the piano keys.

When she sang Elara was blown away, she sounded like an angel — her voice was so powerful the crowd stared at her in awe. Soon the boys appeared, jumping on to stage, Elara spotted them before everyone else could see them and her face lit up as soon as she spotted Luke.

She didn't realise just how magical it was watching the boys perform with Julie, she could see how happy they were doing the thing they were born to do — make music.

Elara spotted Alex looking over to the side of the stage where Willie was standing besides the stage cheering him on. They both looked so happy it was adorable.

When the band slowed down to play a slow song, Luke looked out at the crowd whilst strumming his guitar, as soon as he spotted Elara in the crowd his breath caught for a moment, he immediately smiled at her as she looked up at him on the stage.

During the rest of the last few songs, Luke couldn't stop glancing at her. Reggie and Alex both noticed he was distracted and made fun of him once they got off stage.

"Luke's got a crush!" Reggie sang as he skipped ahead of them to their dressing room.

"Shut up!" Luke replied, blushing slightly.

"Ohh he does." Alex elbowed him as he walked past.

"Why, are you jealous, Alex?" Luke raised his eyebrows.

"No, not at all." Alex stumbled on his reply.

"You had your chance back in the 90's." Luke smirked, heading past him.

Julie followed behind the boys, "that show was amazing!"

"It was crazy, I can't wait to do it again," Luke replied, wrapping an arm around Julie and hugging her tightly, "all thanks to our talented queen."

Julie laughed, "and you guys too!"

Reggie and Alex joined the group hug, "I love you guys!" Alex said as he squeezed them all tightly.

"Ok that's enough, I can't breathe!" Julie gasped as the boys dispersed.

"Hey guys, look who I found." Willie appeared behind them, Elara standing slightly behind him shyly.

"Elara." Luke exhaled slowly, his eyes softening and a smile spreading across his face as he looked at her.

"Hi, Luke." She said softly.

"Guys, this is Elara, we met the other day on the beach." Luke introduced her to everyone.

Although Julie couldn't see her or Willie, she smiled and introduced herself, "Hi Elara, I'm Julie, nice to meet you... even though I can't see you!"

"Tell her it's nice to finally meet her too, her voice is like an angel." Elara said to Luke.

Luke repeated what she said and Julie smiled brightly, "thank you, Elara! If I could see you I'd give you the biggest hug."

Willie rested his hand on Elara's shoulder, "I told you you'd have nothing to worry about, they love you already." He said quietly.

"Hey, we're going back to Julie's house to hang out... would you like to join us?" Luke sidled up to her as the others walked ahead of them.

"Sure, I'd love that." Elara smiled as she walked besides him as they followed the others out of the venue.

"So what did you think of the show?" He asked.

"I loved it, you guys really are so powerful when you sing, it kinda felt surreal." Elara gushed.

Luke couldn't stop smiling, "I'm so glad you enjoyed it."

Julie got a ride from her dad whilst the others disappeared up ahead.

"Wait where did they go?" Elara asked.

"Oh, you didn't know we can travel like that?"

"No... I don't really know much about being a ghost." Elara admitted.

"Woah woah woah, wait, you're new to all this?" Luke was surprised.

"Pretty much." Elara said.

Luke stopped in his tracks, looking at her with his puppy-dog eyes, "oh, Elara," He said softly, "and you've been going through all this alone?" He'd always had his band mates when he first appeared in Julie's garage as a ghost, he couldn't picture going through it alone.

She nodded.

"Are you staying anywhere, do you have anywhere to go?" He asked.

Shaking her head, Elara could feel Luke's sympathetic eyes on her.

"Don't worry," he lifted her head up to look at him, "we'll look after you. I can't let you go through all of this alone."

"Thanks Luke, that's really sweet of you." She replied, she wasn't used to someone caring so much when they barely knew her, but she was looking forward to finally not being alone.
